To the Moon, Mars & Deep Space

How will people live outside the Earth? Adapt to microgravity like they do on the ISS or International space station. How will we produce electricity & heat on the Moon? What about medical & nutritional aspects of these missions if only a few people are going.

NASA has a history of making science fiction into science reality

We maintain a human presence in lower Earth orbit 240 miles up on the ISS

Living on the Moon much different than just landing & returning as we did in the 1960's 

The Artemis program an international program of Moon exploration that will create hundreds of thousands of good paying jobs worldwide to support the Moon colony, where we prove how to live on other worlds, essential to longer duration missions to Mars. The lunar south pole going to be the location of the Artimis camp. We are going to learn how to survive & thrive in a microgravity environment. We will learn how to use local resources like water ice for water & hydrogen & oxygen for fuel for further travel. We will develop deep space outposts. It will not be easy to maintain a continual human presence on the Moon, but what we will accomplish there will help to insure the successful missions to Mars & beyond! 

We are going to go to space & use CRISPR & similar to genetically engineer people to able to endure higher radiation level exposure without health problems. We are going to enable next generation people to live in space without cancer, eye problems, heart problems, kidney stones or balance or coordination or psychological problems. We will engineer the flaws out of natural people today to make astronauts stronger & smarter & better suited for space living & deep space travel. We will learn how & apply these learnings to enable hibernation of astronauts into long deep sleep without minimal degradation to their body or brain. 

Some might wonder, with all of the problems on the Earth today, why go to the Moon or Mars. One answer might come from the fact that the Sun will eventually boil off the oceans & kill off life on Earth long before that. We must learn to live in space in microgravity, on moons & other planets. We must learn how to explore deep space without dying from cosmic ray bombardment with better magnetic, electromagnetic shielding or novel radiation absorbing shield materials that are also low mass. New materials science & core genetic science & growing food in space science, so much to learn & apply & fail & learn from & then apply corrections & continue as the winners of our Solar System!
