Reflections on "Requiem for an American Dream" Free Movie on YouTube

https://youtu.be/hZnuc-Fv_TcNoam Chomsky as the world's most cited living philosopher goes on a deep dive in the movie Requiem for the American Dream, explaining the financial bank focus of modern America where up to 50% of the American economy based in private capital banks or investment institutions.

The American public for sale to the highest bidder, as illustrated so vividly with Jeffry Epstein buying favors from young teen girls on his private island. Most of the stuff the elite do for fun would shock & horrify normal people, so they stop at nothing to keep these unethical unacknowledged special access programs highly classified & in layers of secrecy.

The main idea to control everyone, an engineered society of people who are paired with their TV or Internet & what kind of gadgets they should have & waste their finite money on, that no one really needs & probably also do not want if you really dug deep into their psyche. Markets are supposed to be formed by & functioning through informed consumers making rational choices, the exact opposite of what you see, uninformed people making irrational choices, spurred on by devilishly cleaver marketing campaigns to exploit emotional weakness, fear about unexpectedly dying or losing a loved one.

Large banks, insurance companies, & the selfish greedy owners who profit at everyone else's expense. People can feel this deep down & have a deep-seated resentment for government because they do not feel representation & nothing they do as a person will create meaningful change in public policy 70% of the time. Worse, because of the scope of personal influence of the common person, the hatred they hold for the alien federal government gets spewed at their neighbors & other people in their lives, breeding corrosive social division made worse by Russian & Chinese programs to post fake news corrosive social media postings in English as "Americans" to incite even more radical hatred & social division, on Facebook & Twitter & Reddit & other popular public forums online.

An Ad for a car for example consists of fantasy act being performed in the car, & not about the technical attributes, specifications or facts about the car. The car ad designed to sell you as an uninformed consumer, encouraged to make irrational emotional choices. Public office candidates are marketed like Toothpaste. Obama actually discussed very little & promised almost nothing when he was running for office. The two-party system in America does not reflect the wide spectrum diverse needs of the public, which have been intentionally marginalized.

While the internet may have democratized access to information, it did not create more engagement between holders of public office & their constituents. Lobbyist are in Washington, giving gold coins in special luggage to the senators for special favors, in high level bribery- perhaps a special credit card that someone else takes care of the balance on for the senator as long as they vote a special way to deregulate a commercial bank so it can engage in higher profit margin usury loans or super ultra-high interest loans or similar trickery where the person taking the loan will never be able to pay it off.

Public attitudes have about %30 influence on public policy, which frustrates the public & produces hate for the establishment & institutions. Political topics are forbidden topics of discussion at my workplace & previous workplace. Outraged at the government but unable to affect public policy, the public starts to hate each other & its corrosive to social relations, causing people to hate & fear each other, to hate other people & to look out only for themselves.

If you listen to people speak openly about their hatred for the federal government or how America has changed over the last 70 years, you will hear mostly romantic echos to the past of what America was like in the 1960's when huge social progress was being made & when great democratization of public policy caused better roads, better safety standards in workplaces, better protections for air & water quality, better healthcare programs, better schools & better school lunches, better electrical power generation capacity, more renewable energy capacity, energy storage development, innovative research with real world applications of the solution discovered.

We went to the moon with the Saturn 5 & the civil rights movement created more equality for African Americans or people of color or other minority groups. A glass ceiling remained in many workplaces & domains, where rich white men dominated, across the American Economy in all kinds of workplaces men were paid more than women for the same or lesser jobs. Gender inequity was also a cruel thing for gay & lesbian & transgender people back then, thankfully we have made social progress to show these people more acceptance, love & kindness today.

Other issues remain. We have social justice warriors & reverse bigotry & racism, throwing cruel judgmental slurs at me because I am a Caucasian, heterosexual, male married to woman; a stereotype or trope to the SJW types - who are racist & bigoted against me because of my skin color, gender & sexual preference. What a sick irony, and hard to believe people can be so ignorant while espousing social progress as their agenda. See, by contrast, I really want to see everyone thrive more, the phasing out of crime & corruption & increased transparency.

I want a real democracy where the public are represented but the people in power, but sadly humans are flawed sinful people & some of the bad apples among us (intelligent sociopaths) & their powerful rich allies in industry are the ones with Power, political sway, influence, connections, the ability to create change with their will & motives in polices that affect everyone.

Sadly, some of the Senators are just pawns for even more sinister owners of industry, despot billionaires who create unsafe workplaces like that selfish founder of Amazon.com who takes the money he steals from his fulfillment center workers by cheating them out of fair wages to pay for his moon unit Blue Origin program that I think looks like a suppository & perhaps echos to the sick reality of what Amazon does to its employee's, organize cruelty, slave-like labor conditions, no work life balance, no unions, unfair & imbalanced wages & benefits. It's so bad, Amazon build special mental health retreat stations in the fulfillment centers for employees to go sit in & watch mindfulness videos for 10 minutes, so the angered employees don't cause a workplace incident out of frustration with their dystopian work conditions.

April 15 Tax Day in the United States should be a day of celebration, but it's a day of mourning that happens, when an alien power disconnected from you comes down to steal your hard-earned money to fund activities in the federal government that have nothing to do with you & worse, are funding things you disagree with & do not believe in & that have no benefit to you or anyone you know or care about.

These programs are about building Power for the elite, the billionaires & big banks & federal reserve, to feed the capitalist machine that wants you and me to go on a shopping spree on the TV or Amazon.com or Ebay.com or to spin that economic wheel distracted by the next purchase, unaware that your rights are being sold off to corporate special interest, that your privacy & freedom is being auctioned off to the highest bidder who wants to sell you a lifestyle that most people will never be able to afford, on a hedonistic treadmill of pursuit that always ends in financial ruin or failure of the individual working taxpayer to the benefit of the small minority in power at the top. How do you think so many Senators become so wealthy in the United States?

Sometimes you can see this in traffic, at crowded events, at grocery stores, if you work retail with the public. Some people are so inconsiderate & arrogant & mean; I have no idea how a person can go around operating like that without dying from a disease caused by such toxic thinking. So here is the charge for you, my reader. Try as much as possible to be considerate, patient, kind, loving, sympathetic, empathetic, decent, honest & reasonable towards & with other people. Read my posting about human beings & gain an understanding that we are social beings who depend on one another to learn & teach morality & ethics to our children & each other.

We are called to live as stewards of the Earth, of ecosystem, of nature, of animals, of other people. We are all in this life together as one human people, & this fact irritates & annoys the elite. They want to depopulate the world & create a population of brainless wage slaves who are blatantly unaware of what the elite are doing.

Think of just drawing out merger & acquisition today to its logical extent, one super monopoly that owns all business in every county, think a master brand from A to Z, like Amazon- & do not think for a moment that Amazon will not try to become the master of every economic sector or domain of sales channels. The profit motif on that level can corrupt even the most noble of people.

I personally believe the founders of Amazon.com are Satan worshipers who sold their souls for eternity to the pit of hell in exchange for radical wealth & prosperity in their short biological lives here on Earth. Think Evil Despots who control all the money & jobs, who you are forced to interact with because through unfair competition that bankrupt or purchased every other company, then used their immense transnational resources to bribe every world government into bowing to their every request! I think Amazon.com is dark sinister company on a war path of economic destruction & corresponding social decay! Watch out!

This film has transformed my thinking by giving a framework of understanding to the growing income inequality & social division that I have been trying to integrate for some years. Growing inequality means that 1/10 of 1% of people control most of the resources in America, & this level of inequality has a corrosive effect on democracy. There was class mobility in the past, but it has collapsed, just like value of the fiat currency USD2021, increasing inflation causing a loss of real world buying power of normal people as the cost of basics, food, toilet paper, gasoline, housing, natural gas, clothes, wood, copper wire or pipe, you can feel the price inflation, & today the loss of supply chains from COVID19, shortages of materials, hoarding of consumable goods, cancel culture, loss of moral.

Concentration of wealth yields concentration of power & this political power translates into legislation that increases the concentration of wealth, designed to increase the concentration of wealth & power, it's a feedback loop of evil despots & sociopathic sickos & weirdos wielding great resources, power, influence, interests, & controls of government, business, financial institutions, the master of mankind, the vile maxim, all for themselves & nothing for everyone else. In the absence of a general public reaction, that's what you should expect!

It already became an ugly society, with less empathy, sympathy & solidarity, replaced by selfishness & greed on every level, consumers controlled by private wealth, reflecting the value of profit, personal gain at the expense of the public good, doing something to make a healthy profit when you know it will hurt & harm other people. You see big pharma doing this, big petrochemical companies doing this, big manufacturing doing this -- see pollution & toxic substance with harmful side effects. Policy has become a shadow cast over business-based society where the profit motif that main idea, where wealth worshiped as God. America been on a progressive social decline because of merger & acquisition, super monopolies, after the 1960's & especially in the early 2000's. Freedom of speech, a real achievement of American Society, not in the bill of rights or constitution. The major contribution from the civil rights in the 1960's as the supreme court decided. Giving women equal rights. Free speech was a social victory during an era in the 1960's when egalitarian changes were happening in public policy.

This tradition of protecting an elite minority from the will of the majority, has a deep history all the way back to Aristotle & his works on Politics back then. The opulent wealth of the minority of master of men should be established in ways so as to protect it from democracy & forces that would divide & distribute those resources to help improve the lives of everyone else. You can see a resentment for a thread of socialist concepts about a society setup for the good of all its people.

See with energy scarcity mindsets going back thousands of years in human history, people were unable to imagine how to create wealth for a vast multitude of people or member of the general public. Furthermore, if everyone alive today had the wealth of the elite, it would be so toxic to the biosphere of Earth with increasing waste & pollution that climate change would be even worse today. Then again, if everyone was a snob, the public would not tolerate air or water pollution & would force innovation into applications to make cleaner manufacturing & energy production & processes happen more quickly & to phase out any polluting process where the waste is not contained in neat & organized ways like nuclear waste from fission reactors today; the most compact waste of any energy generating technology on that scale (Gigawatt), see (baseload capacity)(electrical grids, power networks)

The flaw in protecting a tiny minority in a democracy, the poor would take away the property of the rich, so the constitution must be setup to protect democracy. Of all systems, a democracy is the best system, though the flaw of the poor taking away the property of the rich. Aristotle proposed a welfare state to reduce inequality, so the rich give up a little to help the poor & a peace maintained.

A democratizing tendency from the working poor from below & the anti-democracy force from the owning elite class above, a balance achieved, though dynamic, it changed public consciousness as minorities were given rights, as women were given rights, slavery was ended, & collectively the people united to stood up & demanded law & order, fairness & equality. People were concerned with other people, the economy & creation of wealth, a collection of civilizing effects combining that caused great fear in the ruling elite; the reaction to these effects of the 1960 was radical strong backlash of radical capitalist effort to beat back the progress made in the 1960's, as businesses sought to regain control of society, an organized defense.

The poor were seen as an outsider & the idea was framed as a fight over control & power. A crisis of democracy formed because of what was seen as an excess of democracy, previously passive parts of society became politically active & organized & this was seen as causing too much pressure on the state. A failure on part of the institutions to indoctrinate the young with cultural forces to subdue the population into apathy, such that the general public had to be suppressed & disengaged from political process. The economy was therein redesigned with financial institutions taking over big business, the masters of mankind & owners of mankind wanted to shift the economy to increasing importance of financial institutions, which by 2007 had 40% of corporate profits.

In the 1950 the United States economy was based on production & was the manufacturing center of the world. Financial institutions were a small part of the economy & were there to redistribute small parts of the economy, as credit, & offering services for many purposes, for remodeling, for spending, to facilitate economic progress. After the 1970's & flows of speculative capital started flowing into risky investments, complex financial instruments, the business of America shifted toward the business of business. Most directors of American corporations are business majors today, with schooling into cleaver trickery in financial capital, making money with money, lending & insurance.

General Electric makes half its profits by moving money around in complicated ways, not really even clear if they are adding value to anything. Offshoring of production to China & elsewhere in a reconstructed trade system to put Americans in competition with workers from around the world. An American worker put into competition with a highly exploited person in China.

Capital can move, but workers can't, so professionals like doctors, lawyers, dentists, electricians, plumbers & other skilled professionals, they are protected. Greater worker insecurity creates pressure on Americans to keep them under control, so they do not ask for decent wages or unions, as long as the masters of mankind make their profits, it does not matter, the people suffer, the public suffers while a tiny opulent minority enjoy increasing wealth & a stream of ever-increasing profits.

Anyone that speaks against this system called Anti-American, an extreme term. So, in this context America must be a totalitarian regime. Critics of the official system are always punished, by vilifications, slanderous terms, but since American's are free, no one cares what they are called by others. United States is the only society where elements of the elite culture are ugly, where people who are critical of concentrating wealth are viewed as low life's & losers & naysayers who often end up being legally persecuted by people like Donald Trump.

The American dream largely a symbolic concept from the 1950's when egalitarian growth of the lowest 1/5th of the population was improving at the same rate at the upper 1/5th of income earners. When the USA was a manufacturing center, it had to be concerned with its workers. When it moved to an international plutonomy, American consumers are not going to be affected as much. Make better profit next quarter & produce for the wealthy classes, no matter what you have to do. Known as the precariat, regular people are seen in a precarious state of unstable existence. Taxes for the working class increased as taxes for the wealthy was reduced. The pretext that's false, is that more money into investment builds the economy, but that never works. Master's ideologies are different, so they make enormous profits & pay no taxes. The tax burden was shifted to the general public to pay for everything.

The social brainwashing was to get everyone to only care about themselves, to not care about others, but this is devastating to the social structure, forcing emotions out of people's heads. Look at the attacks on social security, which was based on the idea of taking care of others, solidarity. For much of the population social security the only thing people survive on in retirement. The attack of public schools, for example, so the idea "I do not have children, so why should I pay for public school" - so the elite want all private schools to restrict education to only those families that have the resources to pay for it. the GI bill of rights able to pay for college education of veterans & massive investments into higher education. Now tuition costs traps people with college debt, since tuition now a substantial part of college funding.

The elite do not want to pay for social security or public schools or college tuition for veterans, the elite do not care about you or me or other normal people. Regulations are allowed to be enacted with regulatory capture, where the business is running the regulators. Think bank lobbyists writing financial regulation, people from big pharma working on policies at the FDA. The whole world of business lobbying & the business world was very upset that consumer safety & health & safety regulations, so they started a coordinated effort to reduce or eliminate regulations.

The new deal regulatory framework was systematically dismantled & more frequent economic crashes occur. People felt safe as long as the government was able to bail out the banks. This is why the banks get bailed out while the public gets sold out. Financial regulations were defeated by larger banks. Another crash is building up since it's a deliberate thing to increase concentration of wealth. Each time the taxpayer is called on to bail out the private financial institutions. The rich & powerful want a too big to fail nanny state.

One set of rules for the rich, one set of rules for the poor / credit agencies are now calculating into their projections the cost of the next bailout. Not surprising, given that power given to a narrow sector of wealth that is dedicated to increasing power for itself. The elite classes are in this way parasitic, gobbling up elections of great costs, earning special favors & ultimately control to the elite, so there is no real government. This means law really the domain of people who can afford to use it the most, businesses & corporations, that gained personhood under the law.

Corporations are state created legal fictions, to call them persons with rights really insane. GM enjoys way more rights than a regular person. Corporations are immortal super powerful people, morality out the window! Money is a form of speech. It means that corporations are now free to buy elections, an attack on the foundation of democracy.

Unions are Critical to Protect Workers with Fair Wages & Safer Working Conditions
Paid Time Off, Vacation Breaks, Work Life Balance, Health Insurance, Benefits

Unions are the only thing standing in the way of exploitation by the elite. Look at the anti-union sentiments among the elite. At an Amazon fulfillment center, even talking about work life balance enough to be fired, because of anti-union internal forces handed down from the evil despot who profits most from Amazon.com, the one so fascinated with Blue Origin & going to Earth's Moon with a private space program- paid for by exploiting Amazon employees & Prime customers at the same time, funneling & concentrating that money to Jeff the Billionaire //
