In medicine, many small molecules do not bring patients relief from issues that many cannabis users were using cannabis for in the first place, long before it became a legal recreational drug in some US states where marijuana was legalized for retail sale to adults over the age of 21 years.
Known also as the entourage effect, cannabis contains many bioactive pharmaceutically active compounds & substances that in general bring uses of cannabis enjoyment, joy or happiness. After all, people get high by using weed because they find doing so enjoyable.
Stress, anxiety, fear, and depression, even PTSD, many AIDS & cancer patients too, it seems that medical cannabis very useful because of the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the human body & some of the terpenes present in different strains of marijuana cultivated for human consumption, be that as smoked dried cannabis flowers, edibles or even THC & CBD containing drinks.
Enjoyment good for the heart & soul, so that must mean that joy is also good for your mind. That matches what God was saying in the New Testament of the Christian Bible about centering your mind on that which is good, honorable, of good repute, that which is decent, fair, reasonable & lovely. I am of course summarizing the general sentiment of the healing & restoring stories in the Bible that I really enjoy reading & discussing with Meg. Romans & Ephesians are my favorite chapters, the Psalms are also very beautiful! Praise be to God
I am not endorsing or condoning the consumption of cannabis. I like CIGS solar PV & LFP battery energy storage technology, & well made pure sine wave inverters, hybrid electric vehicles, axial flux electric motors, superconductors, LED's, computers, networks, information technology, software. I am an electronics & technology evangelist. Remember, industrialization would not harm nature nearly as much if there were far fewer people in the world at the same time. Human overpopulation drives up the scale of negative impacts that society has on ecosystems around the world.
If you think we are running out of gasoline, think again, GTL by Shell converts coal gas & natural gas into synthetic gasoline that so pure & clean it almost burns like ethanol or butane or propane with a clean smokeless flame. Synthetic & biofuels will enable combustion engines to make energy to move people & goods around for thousands of years from now.
In the next 60 year we will phase away from crude piston engines burning mined fossil fuels, to fuel cells that convert ammonia to hydrogen to make electricity to drive range extended electric vehicles with a composite NH3 ammonia fuel tank onboard. Most heavy duty commercial & industrial turbo diesel vehicles will be retrofitted with DME fueling systems since DME can be made industrially like ethanol using biotechnology for less than $1/gal eq. South Korea already retrofitted their commercial trucks with DME. Its sort of like a propane conversion for a gasoline vehicle, given that DME a pressurized gas like butane or propane.
