Urgent Care Real Medical Care in America

Healthcare in America has many problems in terms of actually helping people with health problems. Many primary care physicians are booked out months, so if you ill and need help recovering, you have only one real option, urgent care. In Urgent Care clinics they prioritize speed of access, so that someone with an infection that will not heal can obtain antibiotic to help body beat the infection. 

I work as a School Bus Driver with more than 100 elementary age children from 2 different schools and a middle school route. That exposes me to a virtual perpetually changing aerosol Petri dish of cold and flu virus exposure that children unwittingly to unintentionally vector. I leave the rear upper vent fan on and front fresh air intake HVAC fan on to keep air moving though the bus, with heat for defrosting the windows and warming the cool cabin to a warmer temperature. I hear the children coughing and sneezing, and teach them over the intercom to cough or sneeze in their sleeve, so that spit particles do not spray and fly around the bus sharing germs. 

We "Sneeze or Cough in our Sleeve right" and they say yes. But sometimes I end up getting a sufficient viral load to become ill with cold or flu. About a month ago I had contracted at least 2 cold viruses and 1 flu virus back to back and missed an entire week of work. 

Thankfully I had accumulated PTO to use so no loss of pay amazingly. For about the last 10 days as a lasting consequence of being ill recently, though no active fever or cold or flu, yellow orange or yellow green goo has been draining down my throat, clogging up my nose at 3 am while I am trying to sleep forcing me to choke and cough then blow my nose, or intentionally swallow hard repeatedly to suck the goo out of my sinus down my throat to be digested, but this was causing digestive issues also. 

My face has become painful and visibly swollen from the sinus infection for more than 10 days, so after driving my morning route today I went to Virginia Mason in nearby in Downtown Bellevue WA, and they were unable to make an appointment with any doctor or nurse, and turned me away and told me to go to an urgent care. I went online and left a 1 star google review because that was the 4th time that Virginia Mason turned me away and told me to go to urgent care. 

What is the point of having a primary care doctor if it's virtually impossible to get an appointment in near real time when you having a health problem. The Urgent Care places near me have always gotten me in fast and given me a solution and good recommendations and helpful honest help fast quickly and politely and earned 5 star google reviews. I think medical care should be available in pseudo real time. In antiquity doctors would visit their patients homes to help ill patients. 

I spoke to many people this morning about how urgent care helped me right away and how Virginia Mason always turns me away, and this is reflected in the google reviews from many others who share my experiences. Urgent Care helps people in need fast. Many primary care doctors are booked out with appointments for weeks or months. I took the rest of the day off, and tomorrow and Friday off, making use of some of my sick pay to cover my absence. This was at the suggestion of people I work with and the ARNP who saw and helped me at Urgent Care. 

That way I will have a late Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 4.5 day weekend, now on antibiotics and Flonase, to help clear the sinus infection thats been plague me making me tired and feeling ill lately. I have not actually felt good or well for over a month. I am excited to get rid of the infection and feel better and go back to work because I love being a School Bus Driver and have the nicest customers on Earth, elementary age children who are mostly super polite, funny, friendly and naturally energetic in a way that I find very encouraging. I am curious what the children will think of the cover driver who drives me route and will ask them about that on Monday when I return to work :) 

Zooming out, what about patient outcomes? Why a kidney failure epidemic ? Why obesity epidemic ? Why a T2D or Diabetes epidemic? 

How does diet or lifestyle affect health? Move more and eat less, but what you eat matters as much

How was I able to undo high blood pressure? I never had high blood pressure, except when stressed out at doctor's appointments where I have to wait for over an hour to talk to a doctor for 10 min. Irritating that healthcare so slow and inefficient, so irritating that my blood pressure increases at the outrage of being overfilled for such a short consultation. Never a word about food or nutrition, that kind of talk with examples would take an hour or more. 

How was I able to reverse Type 2 diabetes? 

A prototype DEXCOM G7 for 10 days helped me learn that I do not have Type 2 diabetes or even Pre-Diabetes anymore. A combination of skipping breakfast every day along with more water and regular exercise, less alcohol, almost no candy, more veggies and fruits and a healthier overall diet and thought life after becoming a real Christian lover of God and Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I am healthier and happier now than in the past. 

If food increases your blood sugar, it will be stored by insulin as body fat. Fat from food is lipids healthy for your brain and membranes and cells. Proteins are amino acids your body requires. Vitamins are essential for cell biochemical reactions. It's added sugar, modified starch, and excess carbs from bread, rice, pasta, soda, pop, candy, sugary foods, processed foods and ultra processed foods that are making people fatter and sicker. 

Carbs, starches and sugars are fast burning energy to fuel movement, athletic exercises, intensive physical activity that makes your body hot and sweaty and makes your breathe harder, so hard that its hard to squeak out a word or two before taking another breath. 

It's that HIIT heavy hitter intense workout running in bursts up hills or doing VR Les Mills Body Combat, it's that 15 min super intense excise that gets all the benefits burning up blood sugar. Go for a walk within 20 min of eating a meal like lunch, skip breakfast or dinner. Drink more water and go to bed earlier, wake up earlier, drink water on waking. 

Black coffee or tea, you can add milk or cream, but limit the amount to stay in a fasted state on waking, and I would suggest skipping breakfast because when you wake up your body will pull blood sugar out of your muscles and liver and the hormonal cascade of waking with coffee, means you do not need to eat for a few hours after waking, unless you having a low blood sugar event as a Type 1 diabetic, and it does not take much juice or dates or sugary substance to bring up the blood sugar, so its very easy to overeat breakfast. 

Many American breakfast foods are very unhealthy processed foods like cereal, not eggs butter and bacon like it was in the recent past. It was after the 1970s during the plastic revolution that UPF junk foods took off in America. Obesity and disease rates have been on a meteoric rise since then. When American Western foods, UPF junk other, are adopted internally, the local p[eople are becoming fatter and sicker, even children in China and India now. 

Western American Diet problems boil down to an imbalance in nutritional components

Not enough fiber, soluble or insoluble

No enough water to stay well hydrated

Too much sodium and not enough calcium, magnesium or potassium or electrolyte imbalance

Too much added sugar in junk, fast and ultra processed foods like Oreo Cookies or Doritos

Too much modified starch or carbohydrates that break down into elevated blood sugar stored as body fat + high fructose corn syrup added to soda or pop that also so acidic it causes kidney damage and eats away tooth enamel, but the metabolic toxicity of all that sugary starchy carbs means mitochondria damage or endocrine damage that becomes metabolic syndrome disease like obesity or chronic inflammation that also becomes heart disease, high blood pressure, more risk of stroke, clotting or embolisms. 

In other words western industrial processed foods are making people fatter and sicker with artificial colors prevent to increase cancer risks which is why Norway and other European countries have outlawed many food additives including many artificial colors. Many US fast food restaurants have failed in European countries because the food nutritionally imbalanced. Those socialist economies have public healthcare and incentives to reduce healthcare costs by teaching the public the truth about what foods are actually health and which foods are unhealthy. The most immoral action of industrial food processing companies is advertising the UPF junk food soda and candy to children, where their smaller more sensitive bodies are harmed by artificial food additives more easily than a heavier middle age adult eating the same amount. 

A small child of 50 lbs or less is harmed by a dose of artificial food agents much more than the same dose in a 200 lb adult, as thats 4X more body burden in the smaller lighter body.  The differences between a medication and a toxin often related to the dose per milligram of body mass in kilograms #science / thus the dosing guidelines for pediatric smaller lower mass children has lower doses of medications than the sam substances prescribed to older larger heavier mass adults. That also means that the unhealthy food additives added to junk food marketed to children harm children more than if those same foods were consumed by adults. So the same 10 Oreo cookies will raise the blood sugar or a small child more than a larger heavier teenager. Dose vs body mass #science 

People in the industrial food industry who profit from UPF do not eat the UPF that they manufacture and sell widely around the world. They eat expensive chef crafted real food made from highly perishable fresh organic natural ingredients at country clubs that cost more than your annual income in terms of membership fees. These snobby rich people never eat UPF foods like Oreo cookies as such contrivances are beneath them or not up to their quality standards as a food or not a real food in any traditional sense. 

The SAD or standard American diet is composed of up to 73% UPF or ultra processed foods, foods that come in colorful bags or boxes decorated with cool graphics and strange nutritional claims. Go ahead and flip these over and read the Ingredients. You will know for sure if it is a UPF if it has more than 7 ingredients and at least 1 chemical additive with a name thats hard to pronounce that you do not recognize or cook with at home. Such additives chemicals like artificial colors and artificial flavors or natural flavors are just cleaver ways to hide more than 10,000 different FDA approved chemical food additives in America. 

With UPF junk food additives it is all about the money and no thought whatsoever about how it harms or hurts public health.  The vile axiom of the elite income earners in America, their sick maxim, is "All for us and nothing for anyone else" the exact opposite of what the Bible instructs Christians to do in terms of proper Christian Conduct treating all other people as better than yourself, being humble, kind, polite, fair, reasonable, slow to anger, centering your mind always on that which is pure, of good repute, that which is good, honest, honorable or pleasing to the lord, such that how you speak or act ends up being a blessing to other people that see or hear you. 

You should be speaking blessings over other people, making the best of your finite time alive to make the world a better place by helping other people and practicing common decency, treating all other people with dignity and respect, being patient and polite, friendly, outgoing, benevolent or helpful, doing your duty to God and your Country, helping other people at all times, being mentally straight, morally correct and physically strong, using your mind with wisdom and intelligence to fix or repair or upgrade anything or edify anyone, being a blessing to others with random acts of kindness.
