Ever get upset about something? Running short on sleep ? Stressed out from a new job like me ? Does a lack of funding or high monthly life costs have you worried ? I know what it is like to feel these pressure & I want to share one method that helps me weather the storms of life without loosing my sanity or having a breakdown mentally.

Music You Enjoy

Your brain makes beautiful patterns of neural activity when you listen to music you really like. The wave patterns picked up by your ears produces a 3D storm like symmetrical pattern that might remind some of closed eyed visuals produced by psychedelic drug experiences or CGI pattern generators that make cool visualizations when music is played on a computer. 

Meditation & Prayer

Deliberately focusing your mind on a positive idea, someone or something you love, a goal that you like, a phenomenon you enjoy experiencing, a positive memory, love you have for a pet or another person in your life or a past lover or long lost friend that you want to reconnect with. It could even be focusing healing repair mechanisms to a specific part of your body that hurts with mindfulness meditation focusing with you eyes closed in a relaxed position in a comfortable place. If you fall asleep thats ok, your probably exhausted & the nap will help you. I am school bus driver & in the DOL training materials to get my CDL or commercial drivers license, the only cure for tiredness that could impair driving, a nap or sleep, or rest. 

Going To Bed Early & Waking Up Earlier

This one will really buck the trend created by screen light & artificial lighting both acting as stimulants or wakefulness promoting agents by causing a imbalance in the cortisol/ melatonin axis in our body, where stress induced light promoted cortisol release promotes wakefulness & prevents melatonin from being released. You might even consider taking a melatonin supplement near bed time like I do to help promote better sleep quality. Consume caffeinated beverages like Tea or Coffee on in the morning, never at night or later than halfway through your wake period in the daytime. 

Interval Fasting

Skip breakfast or dinner, which ever is easier for you. The longer you go without eating, the more your body enters a ketogenic ketosis state & then if you keep not eating for 24+ hours you enter a fasted autophagy state. As you continue to day 2 & 3 your body will start the effects of long duration fasting where you drink enough water to stay well hydrated & enjoy going tinkle a lot & where you body will begin using stored body fat as fuel as well demonstrated in the survival show "Alone" where people go into the wilderness & attempt to survive harsh conditions on their own. Watch "The Science of Fasting" on YouTube first. If fasting sounds crazy to you the way it did to me, please consider watching the science documentary film "The Science of Fasting" since it will help you understand how this non drug way of combating obesity & metabolic disorders & hormone imbalances & will purge your body of cancer cells. 

Eating A Clean & Balanced Diet 

I struggle with this one the most, since I have a sweet tooth & abuse carb foods to cope with psychosocial stress & life stressed, since I am forced to live "Straight Edge" as a School Bus Driver for legal & ethical reasons to maximize safety of the school age children I am transporting, especially given that their parents are entrusting me with the safety of their priceless children.

Cleaning & Organization 

Consider streamlining your "collection" of stuff. Use the Maria Kando method of picking up something & asking yourself if it brings you a "sparkle" or "should you sell, donate or recycle this item" for many people that will be clothing or toys or similar "optional items" // you know you & having 100,000 things at home not a recipe for organization or a happy mental state! Men, I know you have been brainwashed to think that the more you own the more of a man you are, but thats a lie from hell. What defines your character is the content of your character, how you treat other people in your life! Are you an honest loyal fair & balanced person or a selfish narcissistic jerk ? Every passing moment another chance to choose a better way to operate yourself as a person, ok! 

Taking care of your trash & recycling & laundry & dishes / making it happen at home or work! Getting productivity tasks like fixing or repairing or maintaining your things, vehicles, going to doctors appointments, paying bills, being accountable, investing, planning, executing - doing what you know you need to do to make life happen! It will make you feel better if things are coherently organized at your home so you can operate more efficiently without losing or misplacing things. Last night & this morning Meg & I had to search our bedroom with great intensity to find her Dexcom G6 receiver unit, which slipped off a shelf into a pile of laundry that I am now washing. Thankfully while moving the laundry to wash it I located her receiver. We previously incorrectly thought it had slipped behind the bed or something like that when Meg was changing out the sheets last night // I was passed out on the ground in the hallway on some dirty laundry, exhausting from me new 5am to 6pm work schedule // its not all bad though, I get a nice break in the middle of the day that I have been using to read this amazing book called the Power of Knowledge by Jeremy Black!
