Neoliberal Free Market Ideology / Eco-friendly Global Fair Trade

While many political parties exist worldwide, the neoliberal free market approach to free & fair trade seems to make the most logical sense in terms of factual analysis of how free markets have created more shared wealth & prosperity than any other geopolitical system & are now poised to make EV's & other decarbonization technologies more feasible than the high cost of low prices of carbon energy & the pollutants emitted by burning carbon that are toxic to public health & at the same time a major driving force of anthropomorphic climate change worldwide! 

Free & Fair Trade

Innovation encourage to democratize access to technology by high volume global production to serve billions of consumers. Consider smartphones designed in developed economies manufactured in developing economies & sold worldwide at a wide range of price points to meet most budgets, even resold used at lower price points. A solid value added group of businesses also refurbish broken smartphones with shattered glass screens or weakened lithium cobalt oxide Li-ion batteries. 

Internet & telecom provide addition examples of how e-commerce innovation serves customers more effectively & with great efficiency while enabling people to stay home which has particular value added given the scope & magnitude of the COVID19 global epidemic. Companies like Amazon have cashed in on this dynamic of "stay at home" lifestyle with "school from home" & "work from home" become a norm as many classical industries like Airlines suffer from a radical reduction passenger flights, some airlines losing 70% or more of their previous revenue from passenger aircraft flights. 

Globalization

I wrote my senior thesis at the University of Washington with a major in Science Technology & Environment about the impacts of globalization on ecosystems, storm systems & economies worldwide. An unavoidable consequence of free & fair trade is global competition between countries for research, inventio, commercialization, manufacturing, marketing, distribution & sales of goods & services of all kinds. 

With immense container ships able to move tens of thousands of steel shipping containers, each containing tens of thousands of pounds of materials or goods, global trade creates unimaginable shared wealth & prosperity in the hundreds of trillions of dollars. Sadly, market forces in the cheap upfront carbon energy sector means that many of these ships burn diesel or heavy fuel oil in their massive engines, emitting a nasty mixture of toxic acid rain forming climate change accelerating emissions. A much better energy solution long employed by developed military ships like aircraft carriers are thermal electric nuclear fission drivetrain technologies also employed in government submarines owned by the DOD in the USA for example, the largest single employer in the USA. Yes I am advocating for the use of commercial nuclear fission reactors on large mostly unmanned container ships owned & operated by private for profit logistics & transport companies, obviously in partnership with government nuclear regulatory agencies & help from national labs for fuel supply & reactor science & safe operation etc

Nuclear Energy

Hard to imagine providing 24/7 electricity & heat with anything other than Nuclear Fission reactors in the context of expanding global electrical energy production while also decarbonizing to reduce air pollution & help to gain control over climate change. We are expecting a 5 fold increase in electrical energy consumption worldwide as billions of people in developing countries experience increasing living standards that will undoubtedly increase per capita energy consumption.

Nuclear fission 100% nature in Earth core & crust, the fission energy industry takes uranium, an element, from mining & refines it into fuel rods for use in compact high neutron economy energy reactors that make heat, steam & electricity. Today 2nd Gen. reactors build by governments & the most common worldwide, only use about 4% of the fuel rod energy before the rods are removed because of accumulated daughter elements like Xenon that absorb neutrons from the core, slowing the reaction down & are called neuron poisons.

Spent fuel rods dominate the high level nuclear waste produced, which is illogical & shameful given all the energetic isotopes present in the spent rods that could be used to make more energy in the reactors, after extensive complex reprocessing with remote handling, effectively high tech element recycling of energetic radioactive isotopes of elements created as neutrons split atoms of uranium in the core of fission reactors. Nuclear fuel recycling can make nearly endless amounts of new nuclear fuel, especially if fertile thorium added to the core & converted to a fissile element by neutron capture to become part of the fuel energy cycle in the reactor core. 

Manufacturing Billions of Things

Recycling & recyclability of products the main idea here, especially products like E-waste that contain conflict & rare earth elements. E-waste recycling of smartphones, tablet, laptops, desktops, services & other COTS or commercial off the shelf electronics, consumer electronics, present a very complex recycling innovation challenge to develop effective feasible processes to recover & purify valuable elements present in these complex products, like gold & neodymium. 

Many consumer electronics contains highly recyclable metals like aluminum, copper & steel, making commercially feasible recycling of these products attractive to metal recyclers. Eco-friendly ion exchange & polymer ion capture offer environmental responsible cost effective & scalable ways of recovering valuable metals from shredded E-waste streams.

Eco-friendly Fair Trade 

Ethical fair trade allows capital to flow from the consumer to the produce in layered distribution models with many middle men. This means living wages for the producer & fair wages for everyone all the way down to the consumer. Fair trade organizations also regularly work with producers to improve sustainability of the supply chain, sustainable forest practices, sustainable fishing, sustainable mining, processes that produce less waste & more value & value added products profitable to distribute & sell in ways that benefits all shareholders, even nature, in the supply chain 

People are Selfish

Exploiting personal self interest the key mechanism behind market forces. Most people spend most of their money on goods & services, not taxes, so the market mechanism already the driving force behind almost all products & services worldwide, at every scale of economic activity in nearly all countries. 

At our best we can be benevolent, generous & loving, when we have enough surplus time, calories & energy to take care of ourselves well enough to have the capacity to help others in a meaningful way. I am not saying that people need lots of money to help others, just spare time & concession of the spirit, a willingness to help others even if the only reward knowing that your making a positive difference.  

English as a Second Language or ESL 

Most large companies employ people from many different countries, so English used as an intermediate exchange language & already standardize in most STEM communications internationally. Have a common global exchange language also facilitates societies function since clear communications are the basis of social civilization & clear communications are crucial in personal relationships as much as they are in business & government & between nations. We should all be able to understand one another! 

Google Translate & other automated translation tools allows customers in one country to shop online for products & services in another country, since the Chrome browser can translate the local language web page into English, the global ESL communication standard language that the British succeeded at globalizing, largely with colonial activities in the 1800's


Ethos from Christianity

My Lord & Savior Jesus Christ was a brown skinned Jew from the middle east. His message about showing other people love & kindness are the basis ethical premise of fair trade & profit sharing throughout all levels of a supply chain from the base materials to the sale of the finished goods.

Social Intelligence & the Universe 

We are 1 human people on one Planet Earth, a small blue water rock orbiting a GV2 Star called the Sun, only 1 of billions of stars in our local Milky Way Galaxy. Even looking at Earth from Earth's moon, people are far too small to see. Stop getting hung up on our trivial differences & try to think about becoming more accepting of other people. We are all in this life together, like it or not, & achieve much more when we collaborate & compete, striving towards greater excellence in all ways, especially with clean renewable energy since energy required to do anything! Think about that!
