Mining rocks, minerals, the materials to make goods, the foundation of the material economies that work based on selling goods or physical things made of minerals like glass, steel, plastic, wood, things we render from the natural world for human purposes, to subjugate nature and oil to serve mankind's development and globalization goals. 

How to balance this against the public good or health of ecosystems and environments where our air, water and food comes from, that's the goal of sustainability and renewable development, or green culture to reduce the toxic impacts of mindless senseless greedy focus industrialization like many UPF or ultra processed western industrial foods making people sick with preventable diseases today for example.
