Random Stranger Suggested I Create a Blog in 2003

I was at a car show in Issaquah when I was 20, when a man in his 40's walked up to me and said, "you seem or look like you are a blogger, do you have or publish a blog?"

On Facebook a longtime school friend SS says to me "You post really deep, technical, complex ideas that are probably not in the interest sphere of your family and friends from real life, but are aimed at technical scientific minded people like you, so if you instead publish your ideas to a blog, sort of like those TED talks we watched at Griff house, you will probably reach your target audience, best of luck, I believe you will become a prolific blog writer.

Now thousands of blog posting into it, I look back on these inputs from others, reflecting on how they must be a component of what drives me to hand type these posts on any of a few different computers, even my smartphone at times, anything that accesses the internet with a keyboard, physical or virtual, can be used to type up a blog posting, therefor anyone literate can post a blog. I am very educated, so it is probably easier for me to post a lot of different ideas, but I assure you, I post what I have been thinking about, as sincerely as possible, and its from my heart, dripping with blood, sweat, tears and authenticity.

Gaming PC for $800, any of many carports cost more, if you damage a finger, it costs way more, and airplane and photography gear costs way more. Given the bang for buck per dollar, if you enjoy Steam games on PC, it can cost as little as under $1 per hour, even factoring in a gaming PC build, cost of games, and internet, gaming on PC one of the cheapest ways of enjoying content, overall.

I combined PC parts from 2 to4 years ago, on sale, to save over $150, vs buying new parts, plus 32GB of DDR5 6000 cost over $300 now, and CPU in 12100 to 14400K or AMD Ryzen 9, these cost over $250, often i9 or Thread Ripper AMD cost $1000 for the CPU, while a GTX 5090 costs $3400 for just the GPU, so I went with bare minimum for PC gaming with a ASUS dual-fan GTX 3050 for $180, & the least expensive 4qty of 8GB RAM sticks, so 32GB DDR4 3200 which cost $232, or $50 more than the GPU, for RAM, old DDR4 for that price, a scam, stupid ai training eating up RAM like a monster globally, shafting PC gamers, PC builders, and normal people on rational PC build budgets like me.

Of Meta Quest 3 $599 or Meta Quest Pro $799, I went with Quest 3S for $349, then added a better head strap & silicon face gasket $411 all said, then charged the 3S for a couple hours on USB-C till 100% to format the battery, it came out of the box with 49% charge, then promptly set it up using the Meta Quest app on my iPhone, then was able to download Les Mills Body Combat, since I already paid for it previously, then spent $11 on DLC for it, then tried one of the new 20min DLC levels, which worked me over to get 211 points, since I am gradually building up my strength again after getting wrecked physically moving to relocate.

When my iPhone 14 started to slow down, I was driving route 17, and the number 17 started showing up all over the place, so I went to the Apple Store and traded in 14 for a regular 17, which cost an eye watering $914 more than the gaming PC build, incredibly, though Apple did buy my used iPhone 14 and gave me $231, lowing the cost to a more reasonable $683 total cost for iPhone 17 minus giving up iPhone 14 as a trade in. I did not do this all at once, instead I got the iPhone 17 all set up and data transferred with iCloud, when I pay $3 per month, then factory reset iPhone 14 to remove all user data, so as to improve safety of giving it to the Apple Store.
