Healthy lifestyle has nothing to do with living longer. Making choices to be healthy in a well rounded sense has everything to do with staying fit and healthy and happy while you are alive, while also reducing healthcare costs, to you, your insurance, the state, the government or whoever is paying, be that private or public, as healthcare costs tend to be higher for older people, but can be substantially reduced in populations that eat healthy, stay physically and mentally healthy, and have strong social connections.
Sadly, usually one or more of these conditions absent, missing or incomplete for many people, be that social health, sleep health, dietary health, fitness healthy, physical health, or any combination.
How can eating eggs improve your health. Eggs are natures perfect food. Egg farming does not kill the chickens for food either, so eggs are often part of vegetarian diets. Albert Hoffman, the inventor of LSD the psychedelic substance, was bright and giving talks at symposiums until age 102 which he attributed to eating many raw eggs daily as part of his Swiss diet. Not to suggest that eating raw eggs is healthy, as this posed health risks of food poisoning. But eating a gentle poached egg where the yolk not fully cooked sold, but instead remains runny, that also means much of the Choline and other healthy substances damaged by excess heating of the yolk remains bioavailable in the runny yolk, while the cooked whites of the egg are a great source of protein, or amino acids.
Studies show that eating pasture raised eggs associated with higher dietary choline intake, which improve brain synthesis of acetylcholine, which improve learning and memory, noting that small children have 500% higher brain levels of acetylcholine than adults, making it nearly effortless for them to learn, retain and rapidly recall facts about anything they encounter!
Case in point, Americans are one the sickest people with the highest healthcare costs and the highest per capital prevalence of preventable illness. Not to suggest that isotopes from nuclear testing, lead exposure from bullets and wheel weights that fling off, or PFAS / PFOS, microplastics, toxic personal care and cosmetic chemicals, plastic in dryer sheets, lawn are garden chemicals, pest control chemicals, smog exposure in traffic, or any other source of toxic substance.
Those are obviously not helpful to public health, and probably at least each or in combination make people sick with diseases, even if they are physically fit and eat clean or 100% organic home cooked meals. This speaks to the unintentional consequences of dismissing industrial development, DID, where the harms of doing human activity are overlooked for the sake of maximizing profit about every other issue possible to consider, many of which are just as or more important that turning a profit or making money as the only issue considered.
Disclosure, I am now participating in a 15 chicken egg home farming setup in a very rural small town, via a recent relocation to move in with family, so I have a bias to support and endorse eating eggs as the perfect food, and myself and my family all eat eggs, almost daily, and lots of them :)
