Why Apple, they make the nicest highest quality computers, bar none, even my iPad 2 still works fine in 2026, with original battery, runtime of battery less, but it's also island locked on an older version of iOS, oh well, still plays EA Tetris fine :) My iPhone 17 as a computer plugged into USB-C with a 40w power adapter, outside of its case, mounted to a dock fan to output to a larger display, mouse and keyboard, blows the doors off my 2014 Acer Intel 4200u i5 notebook computer in every technical respect, all while using 60X less energy to do the same things better, smoother, snappier, its only major bottleneck the roughly 10 watt hour lithium polymer battery and tiny screen, which can be corrected with a dock to a larger screen, keyboard and mouse.

Then again, running the iPhone 17 as a productivity computer, it lacks a cooling fan, which can be corrected easily by using a fan to blow air directly at it in the dock, so that when your editing videos and its SOC running at full tilt, the heat dumped into the iPhones aluminum body air cooled by the fan blowing air at it, instead of heat being trapped inside an insulating TPU drop protection case. Some dash mounts for smartphones also have a cooling fan that blows air at the phone to keep it cool when you are using it for navigation or routing.
