As human activity continues to dump billions of tons of acid rain forming CO2, NOX & SOX emissions from carbon combustion into the Atmosphere, Earth's climate & weather are warming up & changing with climate change also a trending political & social topic, mainly under the banner of the scientifically proven urgent need to Decarbonize Energy Worldwide! This post explains how we can decarbonize all human activities!



Nuclear Electric Vehicle Charing 

To broadly decarbonize transportation, we need to broadly commercialize these ideas worldwide!

1. Renewables + Energy Storage + N+1 Grid Power System Upgrades 

2. Batteries for EV's made with Na-ion or Sodium Ion 

3. Batteries for aircraft made with Titanium current collectors, polymer fluoride electrolyte & silicon anode!

4. Replacing Diesel with Hydrogen, Ammonia & DME in HD Engine Fueling Applications

5. Hydrogen-fuel cell electrical energy systems for large ships, class 8 trucks, heavy duty vehicles that traditional use slow spinning industrial two-stroke diesel engines as prime movers. Container ships powered by ammonia or liquid hydrogen in cryogenic tanks + solar PV on the deck with electric motor propulsion. Ammonia offers a less complex fueling solution than hydrogen.

6. DME or dimethyl either as a compress gas fluid similar to propane in 125 PSI pressure steel or aluminum or epoxy fiberglass wrapped or wound composite fuel tanks, already widely adapted to existing diesel trucks in South Korea as a drop in fuel replacement. Even hydro-diesel and ammonia diesel fuels offer a better solution, as does biodiesel made from waste cooking oil captured in large metal tanks at grocery stores & restaurants. Even plastic waste captured from the ocean & elsewhere can be converted to synthetic fuels, and many spent lubrication oils can be converted to synthetic diesel. 

Endless Fission Fuels via Fuel Breeding Reprocessed Spent Nuclear Fuel Rod Elements 

Nuclear fuel breeding reactors that use spent fuel rods from old reactors as new fuel via reprocessing to make net-zero carbon electricity and heat to make green hydrogen & desalinate sea water. Fuel breeding fission reactors like the IFR, can make electricity & heat for 10 billion people for thousands of years by virtually endless fuel breeding of fissile elements of nuclear fission fuels. 

Fission Reactor Tritium H3 Valuable 

Capturing the leaking tritium H3 gas from fission reactors makes fiscal sense given that Tritium or H3 worth $30 million per gram as one of the most expensive substances in the world. This gas used in GTLS light tubes made of phosphor lined glass tubes filled with H3 that are self-luminous or self-illuminating that dim to about half their initial brightness after 12 years. 

Tiny GLTS vials are used as night sights on popular handguns like a Glock 19 or popular assault rifles like the AR15. Many shotguns have fiber optic sights with GTLS vials so they are easy to aim in all lighting conditions. Some unpowered exit signs have the longest largest GTLS vials. Most of these GTLS vials are made in Switzerland via tritium deliberately produced in a testing reactor or academic research reactor, via neutron bombardment activation of Lithium 6 for example, a process exploited in hydrogen bombs such that the fission explosion neuron pumps a lithium 6 sphere filled with tritium under high pressure to kick off the more powerful fusion explosion. 

Solar PV Charging EV's 

Rooftop Solar PV systems are operated by many homeowners who also own an electric vehicle, like a tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S, or Model X. A new mode in the Tesla screen user interface tablet on the dash of these vehicles enables a Solar Charge setting that works with the whole home energy storage Powerwall battery & PV system output to optimize the EV charging to store PV captured solar energy in the EV battery pack so people can then drive their EV on stored sunlight energy. This reduces the grid loading effects of common consumer light duty EV use :)

Meaning even more EV's can be operated without any changes to the existing grid power systems operated largely by private utility monopolies like PSE or Puget Sound Energy nearby, who I pay for electricity on my utility bills every month. They are monopolies because I cannot buy electricity from any entity other than PSE to energize our apartment or charge my Nissan LEAF over L1 via the deck outlet & the EVSE extension cable charge at 2-5mi of range added per hour or charging while its parked for 20+ hours per day.
