Have you ever noticed that people tend to think they are invincible until they turn 40 years old? Then they start investing, buying life insurance, making lifestyle changes, but why do people in their 20's no do the same, can you say YOLO.
When I was in my 20's many of my friends or peers died in motorcycle accidents, in nylon aero suits base dumping off the edges of steep rock cliffs, riding dirt bikes in the forest roads until they crashed into a tree unto death, others died of drug or alcohol overdose, still more died in car accidents caused by other drivers driving recklessly or not paying attention or driving under the influence of intoxicating substance or substances, perhaps sleep deprived or having a stroke while driving or similar.
I am 41 & have been riding motorcycles on paved public roads since I was 18, having logged over 100,000 miles of riding many different motorcycles, scooters, & even e-bikes, bicycles, kick scooters, Segway, & much more.
I consider driving a car very easy, but I started at age 15.5 with a learner's permit, took drivers education including practice driving while still in the second year of my 4-year high school education. We did classroom education after school, then computer lab testing online, then had hour long driving practice sessions with some brave parent teaching the class.
When I encounter a low skill or new driver locally, it can be very easy to wonder what in the Earth are they doing as they weave & bob over the white fog line, yellow lane line, hitting bumps, stopping at yield signs when there is no reason to stop, getting on the freeway without accelerating to a fast enough speed to safely merge into fast moving traffic & all sorts of other dangerous things like taking a left Infront of other motorists from the right turn lane, forcing other drivers to make emergency high speed braking to avoid crashing into the bad driver doing the dangerous thing.
On many occasions while riding my motorcycle in traffic an inattentive driver doing something stupid cause me to have to grab the right front brake leaver so hard that I was forced into an ENDO, up on the front wheel with the rear wheel off the ground balancing to a stop so hard that my body slid forward in the seat forcing my testicles to slam into the gas tank, ouch.
Telling someone else how to live not something I agree with. Firstly, no one knows the best way to live for someone else because they could not possibly know enough about the other person to give good advice. If the person telling someone else the best way of living actually knew the best way to live, they would only know the best way to live for themselves.
Everyone is unique in many ways & what is true for you often not true for other people. As long as you are not using your cleverness at the expense of others, that means being honorable, of good integrity, it means being an honest decent person even when other people are not watching, always doing what is appropriate or the right thing. That means treating other people with dignity & respect, even when riding or driving a vehicle on roadways :)
This is about having personal accountability! Doing your best to do your duty to God & your country, that also means your neighborhood, your community, people you live with, people next door, people you go to school with or work with. It is about being a good person, sincerely, knowing that doing the right thing, saying what is right or not speaking at all, having self-control or good conduct, & taking responsibility for your actions, words, choices or behaviors.
Not how many people die in vehicle accidents, how many more are harmed with lifelong debilitating injuries to their head as TBI or neck or back, joints, bones, robbing them of the ability to work or enjoy a happy life free of preventable pain & suffering. How many people are harmed so badly by vehicle accidents that death would have been more humane?
What do we make then of drunk drivers who hurt or kill other motorists, people riding bicycles or pedestrians, because the made a choice to drive while badly intoxicated? What does big alcohol have to say about ethanol poisoning? What does big alcohol have to say about all the other medical diseases caused by abusing alcoholic beverages? How can we have a science of brain injuries and boxing where people punch each other in the head as hard as possible?
Illegal in most locations worldwide to murder other people, then what is War? In war people murder other people in many different ways, often with weapons of mass destruction! Have you heard what China or the CCP planning to do to win WWIII? They are going to release all four kinds of bioweapons on the world, not that COVID19 Sars-CoV-2 from Hubei Provence China, Wuhan Instituted of Virology was not bad enough, now having punished the world with $9 trillion dollars in losses.
