In modern medicine and physiology, the science of the Mind Body connection well established. People who have a positive outlook recover from cancer, injuries and other kinds of illness far more often and with much better outcomes than people who have the same issues who have a negative worldview.
You have to be filled with hope and have something to live for to survive cancer, otherwise if your mind has given up on living so will your body, such that a dis-ease in thinking translates into diseases of the body, as many diseases and disorders that plaque mankind originate in toxic stinking negative thinking, especially noteworthy because the Bible offers a superior frame of reference to improve your thinking, simply by reading the Holy Word.
Everything you look at, listen too, watch, read, people you spend time with, chemicals your exposed to in the air or water or from what you eat and drink in your diet, these all affect your DNA and what parts of the DNA are coiled up or uncoiled, your epigenetic and exposure factors.
Everything that enters your body or mind changes you, changing the structure and function of your brain, changing your skin and other organs, chemical signaling in the body, hormonal balances, neurotransmitters levels, metabolism, activity, and many other aspects of the body like your pulse rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, blood sugar, urine output, kidney functions, liver enzymes, and much much more.
As a former worshiper of knowledge, worldly, secular, scientific, empirical, axiomatic, factual, with tens of thousands of hours reading Wikipedia and thousands of hours watching analytical, educational, informational, research, DIY, how to, history, technology, and science YouTube videos, I find reading the Bible particularly interesting when you adapt the meaning of what is being said by the translated word.
Lets start with Ephesians 2 anything in (brackets indicates modern linguistic meaning)(op ed)(according to my understanding) //
You were dead (spiritually) in the trespasses (unethical actions) and sins (evil acts) in which you once walked (carnal, hedonistic, flesh pleasuring, self seeking), following the course of the world (economic, scientific, industrial, progressive, woke, social pressures, political correctness) following the prince of the power of the air (Satan, Lucifer, the Devil or Demons or Demonic Influence) the spirit which is at work in the sons of disobedience (worldly, vain, idolators, cynical, judgmental, hateful, bigoted, malevolent, ignorant, self worshiping narcissistic wackos and weirdos and sickos), among whom we all once lived in the passions of the flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
In other words, the meaning here, Ephesians 2:1-3, saying that by embracing faith in God, through Christ Jesus, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, you are enabled to turn away from habitual sinning, calling all your thoughts captive as did Christ Jesus, being Godly in nature and imitating Christ Jesus as part of Team Jesus believers and doers of the Holy Word according to what it says in the New Testament of the Christian Bible about proper Christian Conduct, with clear instructions.
Ephesians 4 continues (instructions for proper Christian Conduct)
Walk in a manner worthy of the calling which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
No longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about be every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
Speaking in truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. (Body being the Church, or the Kingdom of God, which each believer acting like a part of that body that works together with the other parts to make a highly functional body)
Using the body and its parts and organs as an example of how systems of people acting in unison with common ethics of goodness, gladness, appreciation, thankfulness, kindness, generosity, unselfishly seeking the best for others, loving others with gentle genuine sincerity and true kindness motivated by love in your heart and mind to see all other people, animals and nature thrive.
Ephesians 5
Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children. Walking in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Sexual immorality, and all impurity, or covetousness must not even be hinted at among you, as is proper for the saints.
Let the be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.
For be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous in idolatry, has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them, for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.
Walk as children of the light, for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true, and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful to even spell of things they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. "Awake sleeper, and arrive from the dead, and Christ will shine on you"
Look carefully how you walk, as wise people, making the best of the time, for the days are filled with evil.
Do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father n the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

You really have to read the entire chapter of Ephesians to understand what I am getting at. Firstly its an excellent summary of the Salvation through Christ Jesus and the Love that God offers freely to anyone who loves God accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior, enabled by the Holy Spirit to truly believe, yielding in their flesh and letting their old body die to embrace a new body, mind and lifestyle patterned after being Christ like or Godly in thought, action, choice and behavior, calling all thoughts into captivity and rejecting all forms of evil in though or action or choice, being the best version of yourself renewed and improved by your true Faith in God the creator of everything in all realms and only legitimate supreme king who reigns above all in all realms, all powerful, all knowing and ever-present, the beautiful amazing, super intelligent, benevolent, loving, gracious God the Father of Christ Jesus.
Don't take my word for it, read the Bible for yourself, study the word with other believers and try to integrate the meaning and messages, ethics, morality and values into your mind, thinking, choices, actions and behaviors so that you can improve anything you interact with, fix or repair anything, edifying other people according to the time and occasion that God intents, doing random acts of kindness, helping other people in need, being fair, reasonable, slow to anger and being honest, decent and honorable in your duties and obligations and especially when no one else is watching you, having the highest degree of personal integrity and moral courage, patterning your life after the teachings and examples of Christ Jesus in all possible ways you are able to imagine, in all places, and at all occasions speaking blessings over other people, being a blessing to other people, or actively and deliberately making the world a better place for everyones benefit.
I did not mince my words, stutter or mumble, you can read what I wrote and make sense of the challenge and go forth and do exactly what I have shared with positive intentions to help other people, in any way that you can or are able! In other words, don't just be a good person, become the best version of yourself with the help of the only living real God, God the father, creator of everything in all realms, who sent Jesus Christ, who died for our sins so that if anyone calls upon the name of Christ & believe Christ Jesus is Lord and Savior can be saved with salvation to enter Heaven when their bodies dies. See the chapters Mathew, Mark, Luke and John for further elaboration and clarity.
I have put in your hands and encouraging challenge to actually read the Bible, at least the New Testament which is less than 1000 pages and easy or reasonable to read and make sense of. I suggest doing this as a bible study with other believers who can help you make sense of the examples provide in the word, the living word that continues to gain new meaning every time you read it, speaking to you personally on a deep integral inner level, just like the relationship you can freely develop with God, the God who loves you and anyone who wants a relationship with God, who turns to God with prayer, consulting God in all matters, giving God praise and worship as God is the only dietary actually worthy of worshiping.
