Our brain manufactures two kinds of endocannabinoids, called 2AG and Anandamide respectively. Illegal Cannabis, Yet Legalized, Which is it?
My personal interest in cannabis started when it was not legal, back when I was a tense teen at age 17 on the edge of suicide. I was distraught after reading about the life & times of Christopher Columbus, a psychopathic murdering rapist sicko, who happened to discover the "new world" of what would become a colony of the Kingdom of Britain or the United Kingdom of UK of today. Incidentally 7 other explorers found America after Columbus, but almost now one knows their names, no Holidays to Honor others who found USA, or more accurately North America when mostly only indigenous people's lived in North America.
Columbus Learning Made Me Want to Kill Myself
I was so distraught learning about Columbus's horrible criminal personal conduct, that I became deeply demoralized, grabbed a hand gun, held it against my head, chambered a round, had my finger on the trigger about to blow my head off, when suddenly my cell phone rang, it was Adam a friend from school, it was Friday evening. He instructed me on the phone to immediately come down to the party him and other people from my High School were having at local hotel room. It was in this very hotel room that I first encountered illegal marijuana, and was peer pressured into trying it, but found only a deep sense of relief, though on the way home the paranoid aspect made me think every car on the road as a police car determine to nail us for illegal drug consumption. Probably a psychological side effect of D.A.R.E education, ironically realizing that everything I had been taught about cannabis was incorrrect and inaccurate and non-scientific. Fast forward a decade and Oregon legalized weed.
THC Reset Me to Feeling Joy of a Young Child
I woke up the next morning on Saturday and felt like I was 5 years old. All those topics from a class my junior year called Contemporary World Events by Dr. Schneider, had been weighing on my mind, feeling heavy, upsetting and frustrating, to the point of feeling like I did not want to live in a world with such sickness, so many problems, so much inequality, crime, fraud, scams, war lords, Ponzi schemes, scandals, consumer betrayals, public health betrayals, in a world where government places industry profit interests above that of the environmental or public health, where corporations are given more rights than people, which seems immoral, unethical and wrong on many levels.

But having just gotten high for the first time the night before, I woke up without a care in the world, as if that one trip reset my entire mental index, allowing me to understand that I am not those problems and those problems are not me, that I am not responsible for those problems, and if I were in charge, I would fix most of those problems, by starting with changing Colobus day to Indigenous Peoples day, which eventually happened, Juneteenth not just about the abolition of slavery in the USA, its also about the indigenous peoples of the USA seeing some kind of justice or social equity, not that this ever actually translated into lifestyle improvements of such peoples or their children, moreover a philosophic euphemism with an echo to egalitarian humanitarian ethics or human rights laws.
Drugs Legal or Not Causing Biochemical Imbalances
The problem with prescription drugs and drugs of abuse, including alcohol, tobacco, opioids, cannabis, MDMA, Cocaine, Heroin, Sugar added in food, UPF bliss point engineering, its that these excesses, knock the bodies systems out of balance, promoting disease formation, effectively disturbing homeostasis, interfering with cell signaling, or receptor functions, causing brain or organ problems, just like exposure to heavy metals or radioactive isotopes are toxic, ethanol also harms our brain, liver & kidneys, as drunk driving causes many car accidents, bar fights and other problems, yet beer, wine, spiritus, liquor and mixed drinks even sold in cans now, perfectly legally, containing the toxic substance ethanol as the active ingredient.

People want to demonize drugs and make them taboo, but everyone almost theses days knows that ultra processed foods are harming public healthy more than anything else, in part because few people understand how harmful such things as Oreo cookies are, when in reality they are made by a global tobacco giant using the same chemical manipulation they used to make cigarettes more additive, the same kind of child marketing, looked at commercial breakfast cereals with brightly colored logos with fun characters designed to appeal to young minds, of children riding in the grocery basket, who see these colorful characters and ask for industrial ultra processed items from their mom, when educated mommies say "No little one, we are going to eat carrots with peanut butter and raisins" who only buys organic all natural items, cooks at home from ingredient and largely shuns buying any UPF.
