Then to engender loyalty from his army, he would share the spoils of war, what they took from all the victims, gold coins, silver coins, rare valuable items, anything of value, so his men idolized him from making them wealthy through military conquests.
When I play CS an FPS game on my desktop computer, I always play CT, counter terrorist, that means I am for fun, playing a military simulation, where I behave as the world police, to stop terrorists from bombing a commercial location.

Now the people of America are almost diametrically opposed to the USA acting as the world police, and the overwhelming vast majority of Americans are not even willing to hurt someone else physically for any reason. Notice that most people who go into medicine in America have the intention of helping others. Or how how Americans have historically been the most generous in terms of the public in America giving money to global charities to help address global poverty or fund humanitarian relief programs.
A sane person might wonder, if all the people I encounter are friendly and polite in America, then why is the US government acting as the world police, shooting drones at all sorts of people & vehicles and engaged in a global assassination campaign? That's right, using very expensive UAV with even more expensive air to surface missiles, each costing as much as a luxury car, while the drone itself costs millions of dollars, amid the US racking up national debt so fast that online you can find a US National Debt Clock, but its not just America, among most nations with Fiat Currencies, a global debt crisis of more than $400 trillion dollars missing or MIA or owned to ourselves. That means we are borrowing from future generations, or cheating our children and grandchildren.
