Stop Eating Immediately to Save Your Life. Think about Interval Fasting by skipping a meal, breakfast or dinner. If you want to lose weight, reduce the amount of carbohydrates & sugars you eat. I am not saying never eat sugar or carbs, just smaller servings less often, make them special sometimes not all the time. Consider the science of nutrition & metabolic syndrome diseases & what causes high blood sugars & all the diseases caused by constantly elevated high blood glucose levels. 

Metabolic syndrome diseases are emblematic of diet changes created by industrialization & westernized civilization ultra-processed food-stuffs that contain ingredients the human body has no biochemical mechanisms to metabolize into cell ingredients, causing fatty liver, high blood sugars, high blood pressure, anxiety, stress at the cellular level, heart disease, ADD & ADHD, dementia & Alzheimers, cancers of many kinds & other medical disorders & degeneration that accelerates aging. So skip a meal & drink more water. Staying well hydrated by drinking enough water also protects you kidneys & brain cells.

Science of calorie restriction with adequate nutrition comes down to ending the nutrient onslaught of the sad toxic western diet, disease of civilization driven by cheap sugars & starches & heavily processed junk & fast foods combined with inadequate water consumption & corresponding dehydration & kidney damage requiring those impacted by kidney failure to undergo dialysis for 3 hrs, 3 days per week, using machines that cost as much as a house, using filters that must be replaced after each session that costs thousands each. 

Type 2 diabetes a worldwide epidemic more costly that covid or all wars combined! Healthcare costs are rising because greedy unethical immoral people prioritized economic progress over public health. They put profits over people, placing money as a false idol, worshiping wealth & excess & materialism. The real sin is that these billionaires are hurting, harming & killing other people indirectly. We might as well call them pedophiles because of what their sugary junk foods are doing to children, causing obesity & type II diabetes in early childhood. That hurts children directly, just like a pedophile! 

Fasting, interval fasting, water fasting for 3+ days a few times annually, ketogenic diets, one meal per day, drinking more water, moving more & staying fit & active; these lifestyle choices have tremendous effects on the human body, health & wellness & are more influential than pollution exposure, alcohol consumption, smoking or other "unhealthy" choices. When people eat starchy sugary foods too much, in larger servings, it overloads their body with glucose, the pancreas burns out trying to send out that much insulin all the time. 

Carbohydrate consumption is what causes inflammatory deposition of arterial plaque that slowly kills people with heart disease, strokes & other embolisms & painful sores that never heal. Sugars that spike blood glucose are the causal basis of most diseases raising healthcare costs in Europe & America & other developed countries. Rising healthcare costs are also made worse by currency inflation, for another blog posting. What I am saying is that you can save your country & yourself a lot of money by eating less, less often, moving more, fasting periodically, interval fasting, eating more healthy fats, drinking more water until your pee is a light straw color, moving enough to stay fit & active. I am saying that cooking with butter & coconut oil & nut oils & lard is better than cooking in refined unhealthy processed cheap cooking oils, like crisco & vegetable oils, since they are converted to trans fats on heating, the fats that cause heart disease & inflammatory conditions of the vascular system. 

So what happens when you do not eat. Consider dinner time in many households, in the evening. People eat foods & drink beverages, then wind down, watch content or read books, then brush & floss, some take a shower or a bath, some have an alcoholic beverage, but then people go to bed. 

While in bed, sleeping or even just laying there, they are not eating. After 3 hours of not eating the digestive processes in the stomach, intestine, gut biota, the gastrointestinal flora, they all calm down. The body enters a fasting state and as time progresses without food input, the body enters repair modes, where the small molecules created by the digestive processes applied to food, are imported and moved around to target cells and organs so that the cells can make repairs, transcribe proteins, do recycling & waste clean up call autophagy. 

We know that Autophagy a natural process of recycling degradation of cell components that are no longer working optimally with a lysosome mechanism allowing the recycling of cellular components in what is also known as protein metabolism in biochemistry.

All flesh in the body is made of polymers, made from polysaccharides, lips & proteins. These cross linked molecules are fabricated from DNA information in the nucleus of cells by a transcription engine of protein synthesis that makes RNA & other biomolecules required by other organelles, like AMPK and ATP from ADP to energize the chemical reactions enabled by electron exchange and the membrane transfer of H+ hydrogen ions across cell membranes into the liquid spaces around cells, part of the apocrine & endocrine & circulatory system of the body, so that waste can be excreted, so that nutrients can be taken in. Any overabundance or deficiency of critical nutritional components like essential proteins or vitamins, can give rise to specific diseases. 

In poor countries, nutritional deficits are the problems. Many people in poor countries are fasting a lot of the time & better off because of how the body goes into a stronger protective & repair mode while fasting. 

In developed rich countries nutritional overabundance of salt & sugar & processed junk foods & fast foods & soda & other unhealthy diet components the main problem; eating too much, too often, of the wrong things, not drinking enough water, not moving enough. Diseases of civilization happen because of eating serving sizes that are way too big, eating food servings many times per day when the body does not need & cannot use more food intake. 

With excess food intake the body starts storing high blood sugar excess as glycogen in the liver, causing fatty liver. Once the liver no longer able to intake extra sugar other cell mechanism store the carbohydrate food ingredients as body fat. Sugar the easiest pathway to become fatter & sicker, progressively, in a dose dependent fashion, such that more sugars, more starches, more carbs, more of the time, promotes weight gain, obesity, type 2 diabetes, cancer cell dis-regulation, brain cell damage, damage to the arteries and veins and especially damage of the micro-capilaries, the tiny exchange interfaces in the circulatory system are damaged by high blood sugars. 

High blood sugars are toxic to the kidneys & liver & brain & are the basis of many diseases that plague America and other westernized countries because of illogical nonsensical sad diets, diets lacking science or factual information, perverted by corporate greed in the food sector & agriculture sector & government, bribery, corruption, everything you saw in "The Wolf of Wall Street" movie, perverted sickos like Jeffry Epstein, Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin & Adolf Hitler, the worst kind of people, that no one actually likes or actually wants to be friends with! This kind of despot represents the kind of people who place profit over people, who knowingly choose to hurt the public & other people in order to get a larger quarterly bonus or more money! 

All world religions, especially Christianity, teach that greed causes people to do evil things. That means that unregulated capitalism would result in one major corporation, through merger & acquisition, the biggest most powerful company would absorb all other companies & eventually replace the government through the privatization of all services, utilizes, schools, hospitals, all aspects of the world would be controlled by one super enormous mega corporation. Obviously just a thought experiment, but it illustrates that we need more small business, a thriving diverse economy with many different sectors, a separation between the church & state but also between corporations & the state.

America has degenerated since the 1960's because of insourcing, outsourcing, globalization, but mostly because of internal moral & philosophical decay that causes people who know right from wrong to make unethical & immoral choices to boost earnings of the company they control, even if that hurts & sickens the customers & other employees, all in the name of constantly maximizing profits every quarter, when nothing keeps going up forever. All countries, all business, all people, everyone eventually comes to an end. No one lives forever & no one has all the answers. The more you known the more you will realize how little you can ever know. 

Know this, if you skip a meal, like dinner or breakfast, you can lose weight & feel better. You can undo metabolic disorders like Type II diabetes by eating less, less of the time, like 1 meal per day for a year or so. I am not telling you to cut out sugar & carbs entirely, that would be insane. I am just saying make dessert special, sparingly, maybe a few times per month maximum. Not every day a day to celebrate with sugary toxic foods. 

Consider that most baked goods & deserts have a huge serving of sugars & carbs, and are missing vitamins & healthy fats & proteins. Our brains are wired to like the flavor of carbs & sugars, especially when they are combined with fat & salt. In nature, these are rare, so over many thousand of generations, our genome was tuned to make us have a sugary preference, it affects everyone to some extent. This is why you can choose to cut out refined flour, sugar & other starches like rice & pasta, or just radically reduce the amount of those things in your diet. Eat a handful of rice, not 4 cups at once. Eat a handful of pasta, not 5 servings at once. You can eat a piece of chocolate, not 5 bars of chocolate at once. Its all about the dose. An overly large serving of carbs will spike your blood glucose levels, and elevated blood glucose levels are toxic to organs in the human body!
