Most automakers are moving to battery electric vehicles, many larger heavier SUV of 2500-3000kg that slay tires with too much instant torque & very heavy vehicle mass, which wrecks passenger compact city car tires really quickly. 

Many Tesla Model 3 eat a set of 4 tires in 10000km, nearly 10X faster than a Typical ICE car of the same size, weight and capacity, then replacing Model 3 tires can cost thousands of dollars because of the wheel size and low aspect ratio of the high-performance tires. 

How many grams per mile of CO2 emissions, what about NOX

How long does the aluminum oxide honeycomb core of the catalytic converter in the exhaust last, and does it leak palladium, platinum, rhodium or other heavy metals into the red hot exhaust gas right of the engine header? Why do they wear out over time and what does it cost to replace a stollen catalytic converter? So called emissions controlled vehicles, the technology to clean up the exhaust of NOX and CO & other pollutants adds thousands of dollars to each vehicle. 

In India my 2020 Yamaha MT03 with the same 321cc engine available carburetor fueling for under $2000, while same model in the USA was $4599.99 or about $6000 out the door, as fuel injection, 3D ECU mapping variable control, O2 sensor & catalytic converter, stainless steel exhaust header, & PAIR injection system add almost $1800 to the manufacturing cost of models sold in Europe and America that have to comply with emissions regulations.
