Fasting For Health & Wellness


Meg & I started fasting for the first time back in 2019, both desperate for relief from inflammation & pain due to complications from Type 1 diabetes in Meg's case & increasingly worse Type 2 diabetes in my case from eating a like a junk food jockey uninformed about the glycemic index & glucose toxicity to the brain when the brain only burns glucose, a sorta of dirty burning fuel, when science clearly shows that the brain can burn ketone bodies made by the liver from free fatty acids made when the body enters a ketogenic state of starvation where it starts to burn its own body fat as energy, as MTOR levels decrease, muscle protein used as fuel at first & then a hormone triggered breakdown of body fat initiated so the liver can make ketone bodies to fuel the muscles & brains & other cells.

Ketone Bodies Fueling Muscles & Brain Cleaner 


The cell mitrochondria are activated to make energy with ketone bodies, instead of only the cytoplasm which uses glucose. Again, blood glucose not the only biofuel our muscles & brains can used & actually exclusively burning glucose as fuel a dirty cell fuel similar to burning diesel or heavy fuel oil or bunker oil or coal to make heat energy oxidizing carbon // when burning ketones as body fuel more like hydrogen fuel cell or propane or butane, much cleaner burning. 

Initiating Autophagy Recycling of Cell Junk


During prolonged fasting beyond 3 days, cells in the body being to clean up & recycle dead parts of the cells laying around inside the lipoprotein membrane container of each cell. During autophagy, cells break down waste products inside the cells into small molecules & export them outside the cell where they become available for healing & repair processing as the basic building blocks of new cells. Our body has an inbuilt recycling system triggered by fasting for 3 or more days, drinking lots of water the whole time.

Fasting Not Profitable in Sickness Focused Medicine 


In America the healthcare system largely operating in disaster relief mode to treat patients once they are already sick with diseases often occurring because of poor lifestyle choices related to low physical activity levels & unhealthy diet choices of what to eat & drink, how much to eat & drink in terms of serving sizes & when to eat or drink. The government gave bunk Food Pyramid fake news advice that if followed would result in metabolic disorders & diseases

A Mixture of Toxic Stresses on Human Body


American also pioneered the widespread sale of GMO or genetically modified fruits & veggies & other food stuffs made from GMO stuff & without any label indicating of such. Sprayed with strange synthetic pesticides, herbicides like Roundup & other toxic synthetic chemicals, the food system in America also peppered with coal power emissions fly ash dust & tail pipe emissions from gasoline & diesel burning on & off road vehicles & equipment. A toxic mess of plastic particles, particular matter, acid rain & the SAD diet, a unhealthy combo that assault the human body of American people causing sickness, surfing, pain, premature death & rising healthcare costs that are out of control! 

Fasting Potent & Effective Medicine 


More than any drug, or any biologic or other small or large synthetic molecular or exogenous stem cells, fasting lets the body kick off cell repairs by opening up parts of the DNA that reduce inflammation & initiate cell recycling, healing & repair. 

Getting High On Your Own Supply


Parts of the DNA unlocked by fasting for more than 4 days kicks off an increase in Norepinephrine, Dopamine & Serotonin levels so the person fasting feels bright & alert & awake & sharp & focused & motivated with increased salience & tenacity.

Building Brain Cells Faster


Some of the DNA opened by longer fasting increase brain cell formation or neuroplasticity by increasing BNDF levels. Brain derived neurtrophic factors stimulates the formation of new brain & nerve cells. Any artificial drugs to boost brain cell development are either wildly expensive or not widely available. If you feel like the idea of not eating food or caloric drinks for 7 days seems crazy, try 16 hours first. Try 24 hours. Try 36 hours. Try 48 hours, Try 72 hours. Try 4 days or 5 or 6. Listen to your body. Try to go further. Consult a doctor familiar with fasting for health reasons. Many doctors think fasting is crazy & will reject the idea of fasting because of brain washing they obtained during extensive medical education aimed as diseases management & treating symptoms not the core problem causing the diseases, mostly over eating & metabolic disorders from too many carbs & not a enough fiber & not enough water. Skip breakfast the easiest way for me to start fasting. 

Skip Breakfast & Dinner


Try 1 meal per day at lunchtime. Skip breakfast & dinner. This will be a very expert level interval fasting technique known as 23:1 or eating for 1 hour & then not eating for 23 hours. This will help unlock cell processes that improve your lean muscle mass & help you to tone up your body & to sleep better & feel better, especially if you are overweight. Its not about calorie restriction, its about eating once & then letting your body digest that daytime meal so that by the time you go to sleep you are already in healing & repair modes. 

Digestion Expensive to Body


Digesting food takes a lot of energy in the body. The body has to consume tons of resources to break down foods. Foods we eat today do not have genetic or normal hormonal mechanisms for handling many modern food components like vegetable seed oils present in nearly all products. Flour not natural easier & it increased the glycemic index of foods in the 1800's changing our diets. 

Eating is Dangerous 


Paleolithic people only ate one meal per day during the daytime, retreating to a cave for safety at night. When we consume 100 calories of food, the body uses 60 of those calories to break down the food & only keeps 40 to store or burn. A sick dog does not eat & there is a natural physiology wisdom to that. Eating is dangerous & takes up a lot of energy. 

After 12 hours of Not Eating


Body burns glycogen from liver & muscles. Body starts burning protein. Body takes from vitamin stores & then body fat for up to 30 days of fasting. During the first 12 hours we burning glycogen to make blood glucose. When you fast for 7 days your blood sugar will come down. Careful if you have Type 1 diabetes, do research. 

Boosting Ketone Levels


Glugconeogensis means protein burned into blood glucose that slowly increases ketosis because the body senses there is no food coming in & triggers the fats in your body to burn by lowering insulin levels. When insulin levels are high its impossible to burn body fat or lose weight. Insulin must be low for the body to effectively burn stored body fasts & convert them to triglycerides & free fatty acids that head to the liver & are converted to two ketones, BHA betahydroxybutrate acid & AAA acetone acetic acid. 

Ketone Brain Amazing 


These ketone levels increase & can be utilized by every cell in the body including the brain. The human brain is not an obligate glucose utilizer, it can & does use ketone bodies as cell fuel & ketones are cleaner burning. People in a ketogenic state after 7 days of fast are perfectly lucid & sharp with a blood glucose level of 30 -- which would normally cause a coma // Lower than 70 consider a low blood sugar when people in an overfed state common as a feature of diseases of civilization from eating wester diets of junk foods. 

Insulin Blocks Fat Burning


By the 5th day of fasting ketone blood levels elevated as indicated by urine test strip indication using test strips you can buy for a few dollars at a drug store or online. A low carb diet enables the body to enter a ketogenic state. You can fast much easier if you were eating a very low carb diet before starting a longer multi-day fast. To burn body fat stores, you have to lower insulin levels & the only way to do that is with water fasting for multiple days, for 5 or more days. Insulin the hormone elephant in the body. Its all insulin. Its all about insulin! 

Fasting Lowers Blood Insulin Levels


No drugs lower insulin levels. When you do not eat, your body will stop making insulin & improve insulin sensitivity. The body adapts to fasting by increasing insulin receptors. When you do start eating after fast, your body will release less insulin. Eating after a fast has totally different digestion, much more forgiving, with less insulin released for several days. Consider not eating for 1 day per week to get a lower insulin level for 2 or 3 additional days, & your body able to burn fat with lower insulin levels! 

Not Calorie Restriction, CR Weakens You  


CR does not work, it puts the body into a lower metabolic rate to conserve energy & makes the body smaller & weaker. Fasting the trick to resetting the body with endogenous mechanism already present in the human bodies DNA. When we stop eating our body perks up. We need to be sharp when we are not eating, our metabolic rate increases. Our brain improves. Fasting kicks off the boosts you are looking for to burn body fat & purge cancer cells & to make new brain cells. Calorie restriction weakens people. 

Fasting Improves Body


Fasting helps people with growth hormone, BNDF, neurotransmitter boost & lower blood sugar & insulin levels. Growth hormone keeps you younger. Fasting for 2 days can boost growth hormone levels by 2000%. With more growth hormone increasing it makes your cells younger by triggering building & repair mechanisms kicked off by fasting for 2+ days. Do not take non-FDA approved growth hormone, its synthetic, expensive & has nasty side effects. MTOR levels go really really low & that initiate autophagy. Eating a lot of proteins keeps MTOR levels high. 

Intraceuluar organels, some of them become redundant, waste created inside the cells. When the body fasting it tells the cells it needs energy & the junk cell parts recycled & exported as building blocks for the body to utilized, depleting the cell of old non functional parts, the cell shrink & tighten up, rejuvenating the cells. The fast optimized cells are more resilient to disease. Autophagy like a reset switch for the cells to reboot into recycling processes that send signals sent to the bone marrow, where the bone marrow sends specific targeted stem cells for repair & healing. Injecting stem cells does nothing. Good to study the stem cells. Fasting gives you an internal stem cell transplant from the bone marrow by helping the organs & the organs cell machinery, by making the cells more resilient. 

People Lose Money When Your Fasting


You become less sick & stop buying food. You do not need medicine. Your body starts healing itself & resetting itself. Your body must be fasting for 3 or more days to get all the benefits. Much of medicine focused on expensive treatments of disorders already formed from unhealthy diet & lifestyle diseases of civilization from a wester diet of too many processed junk foods. I am mixing in ideas I learned from keto diet & interval fasting & fasting to reverse diabetes & metabolic diseases based on research online I have been doing for a couple years to treat myself to undo Type 2 diabetes & to help Meg better manage her Type 1 diabetes. I feel like the protagonist in The Fountain searching for a cure to a disease affecting someone I love over time & space using any good information I can find. The Dexcom G6 & CGM systems & ketogenic diet & then fasting & now interval fating between longer fasts & staying hydrated & physically fit. About light exposure causing sleep disturbance by causing imbalance to the melatonin cortisol axis & more. Life a lifetime learning opportunity to me! I feel like a lifelong student about everything I can learn & believe I can learn anything from anyone! I have a can do attitude & believe I can rise up & overcome any situation or circumstances.
