Sold Your Mind to a Company Data Broker Profits on Your Personal Data

Special interests are companies engaged in lobbying governments, typically who work for an NGO, billionaire or large profitable corporation, and in the latter case often enormous entrenched entities granted person-hood human rights by the US supreme court in the penultimate example of Crony Capitalism I am able to think of. At one time in the start of the global first industrial revolution moving goods to customers required trains. At about the same time telegraph was the only way to send information digitally, though they were feverishly adding wires to railroads to form the first telephone system, so Andrew Carnegie and his associates could communicate in real time. Of course hand written notes or letters could be sent, but with a slow multi day single direction journey, data exchanged between people was very slow.

Today we have a big data explosion happening with artificial intelligence training and data centers causing widespread controversy, calls for moratoriums on new data center builds amid loud annoying 24/7 hum of cooling fans on roof of data centers, each which can consume as much electricity as 50,000 homes, emitting so much heat that in summer time hot weather its not only driving up the electric utility prices of nearby residents, its also putting more heat load on the AC units, so they have to run the AC more, which further exacerbates their increased electrical bill as the utility companies raised cost of electricity because of grid power demand created by the new data centers.

Internet means people, billions of regular people are online since AOL dial-up, more and more users, now we have broadband high speed internet, social media, and on social media, this is where images of people, personal details, address and location, ideology, shopping habits, and even invasive details like their cell phone numbers, vehicle plate numbers, place of work, when they come and go, and their cell phone even worse, it tracks them down to the foot with real time PRISM program data scraping & background data capture. People at NSA threw a party when Apple launched the iPhone, saying roughly, now people are going to pay thousands of dollars to carry around a portable spy satellite in their pocket. At least when the NSA looks at all your personal data, they are only looking for domestic terrorists. But when a person like me or your takes other peoples personal data to sell it for profit, that is called data brokering. Data breaches are when hackers break into a company like Amazon, and take all the Prime Member data, credit card data, purchase history, address, log in, phone number, I am sure you see the pending looming insane Identity Theft problem.
