Popular YouTube channel editors, TicTok video creators, Game Streamers, there are many online e-commerce, video platforms, or ways of making money with higher performance computers, though many people like me will play CS:GO or some other popular E-sports game on a gaming computer with dedicated graphics.
While such machines might use more electricity than Apple M3 Max or M4 Max, they are also much more affordable. The ASUS F17 gaming laptop I am writing or producing this post on was less than $1000 back in 2019 brand new via Amazon, and plays CS;GO with buttery smooth frame rates even though its 5 years old. I don't make my YouTube videos on this one.
I use the "Last Intel 6 core iMac from 2019 to take videos from my iPhone 14 and edit them in iMovie the free software for editing videos that Apple has long included on Mac OS, then export as a file and upload to YouTube then delete all the original files since that computer only has a 256 GB SSD. I can play CS: GO on this machine, but choose to use my gaming laptop for gaming, or X Box One on the TV, TFC LCD wall mounted, that we stream content via Amazon Prime Video or YouTube on when relaxing on the couch.
