Cannabis Use Doubled in the USA over the Last Few Years

Some early research into older populations that use cannabis show an uptick in heart attacks, stoke, clots & embolisms. Too soon to tell if the Phyto cannabinoids in cannabis that activate human CB1 & CB2 receptors are actually bad for human health. I suspect a relationship between dosing & beneficial effects as is broadly seen in other prescription drugs, recreational drugs, alcohol, and other drugs of abuse, or narcotics.

Caution

Using cannabis can reduce your reaction times while driving or operating heavy or dangerous machinery

The use of cannabis can also induce paranoid thinking and has the potential to catalyze latent mental illness into emerging. People with a family history of schizophrenia for example are often advised by doctors to stay away or abstain from the use of psychedelic drugs, and THC in cannabis is a dose dependent psychedelic.

Getting high with cannabis can make food taste better or more intense, make listening to music more enjoyable, make relaxing & calming down easier, can help to reduce stress, aid in forgiving issues or people that cause chronic stress & can be emotionally beneficial in small doses, infrequently to help quiet the mind, induce peace or tranquility, and been used for centuries for relieve from pain. Look to the historical use of cannabis & the science of what cannabis does to the brain & body when we get high using cannabis. I cant do that anymore because I gave up cannabis use in order to get a CDL and become a school bus driver.

Cannabis use or getting high can be highly intoxicating, especially if administered with alcoholic beverages, hop water, GABA or other sedatives like benzodiazepines or pain medications.

Caution when drinking beer or wine & using cannabis. Nicotine can also enhanced the potency of the high from cannabis. In both cases the level of intoxication increases and can produce feelings of swirling or losing control, like your spinning on the inside & unstable. Be very careful & stay where you are & phone a friend to pick you up, and absolutely do not drive, ride a bicycle or walk near traffic while intoxicated as doing so hazardous & dangerous.

I advise never becoming inebriated or intoxicated. Less is more. Think 5mg of THC then wait 5 to 30 days, if it was weak, possibly 10mg. 1 or two alcoholic beverages, never more at once, see how you respond. Everyone's body slightly different, and the way we respond to cannabis or alcohol influenced by many factors and is different for everybody.

Lower Doses Safer / Less is More

Ask yourself why you are using something in the first place. Is there a healthier alternative? Can deep breathing inspired by researching Wim Hof the super cold athlete, can that obtain the kind of relief you are looking for?
