I am not here to judge you or tell you what to believe or not. I personally choose to have faith in Christ Jesus as a Christian & believe thereby in showing all other people, & nature, love, benevolence, kindness, respect, honor, humility, empathy, patience. For me Christianity teaches morality & ethics that I try my hardest to apply to my thinking & choices, though like everyone else I am not perfect, do not have all he answers & can only make a free will agency based choice to have faith in God & in Christ Jesus as my Lord & Savior. Now that we have that out of the way, lets examine a simple dependency tree. 

Prayer very similar to a kind of mindfulness medication with positive affirmations & praise & glorification of good things & of things pleasing to other people & probably God if you like me believe that God exists, a good bet based on Blaise Pascal's wager in the image in this posting.

Science Confirms Positive Prayer Effects // 

Empirical scientific facts are not faith, they are evidence based analytical conclusions derived from experimental data collecting real facts about reality in experiments designed to isolate the variable of interest from noise & bias of the scientist or experiment designer or technician running the experiment. See, we all as people have a cognitive bias, wanting the outcome of the experiment to go one way more than the other. We all have preferences & are able to pick "favorites" & this creates bias that would ruin the objectivity & pollute the data in science if personal bias included in experimental design & results & data analysis. Invariably because people are biased & often funding for science comes from political spheres where rhetoric & corruption are normal, the most extreme forms of ideological bias, some noise always going to create error or inaccuracy in data collection, by that from flaw in the tools or data processing or analytics of the resulting data or writing about it, there is only a way to approach minimum error or to reduce flaw down to a tiny amount, sadly there will always be some error or flaw because of Heisenbergs uncertainty principle. At small enough scales measuring with a STEM or scanning tunneling electron microscope, it because difficult to take real imaging of whats happening, like throwing cars at other cars to collect data about the target cars // using some cleaver applied physics theory, very novels tools can image subatomic phenomena if several things are assumed to be true, that may not be clearly tested as such empirically. So to study if prayer helps people, you have to look at large data, meta data & use the real world & big aggregate trends about people, social science & human mass media, to infer or make inferential deductions about why 9 out of 10 people alive worldwide believe in God ? What does faith do for people if so many people willing choose to believe things that they cannot find actual science facts to support, things that requires someone to take a mental leap of faith ? I don't know, I blindly choose to believe in God because faith makes me feel better & treat other people better & gives me a moving goal towards greater excellence in all ways, something nothing else in the world offers .. 

Faith & Science to Coexist Peacefully 

So faith only confirms things that science slowly helps people learn & as we go deeper into quantum mechanics we keep confirming things from Faith with science. In fact science & faith can peacefully coexist. Faith is about stories of the Human Origin & Science will help to validate these interdimensional realities sometime in the future //
