Catalytic Converter 2010 Toyota Prius
$132.99 Aftermarket via Ebay

In the last month, our 2005 & 2010 Toyota Prii had their catalytic converters & downstream 02 sensors stolen by criminals looking to cash in on the precious metals in the OEM catalytic converters. Here we see the replacement aftermarket catalytic converter & O2 sensor. I got the catalyst on EBAY for $132.99 while the $23.99 O2 sensor was obtained from Amazon.

Have a look at replacement Catalytic Converter & O2 Sensor purchased online for to fix OEM units stolen from 2010 Toyota Prius

Enjoy the images of these new parts, today we will be having an exhaust shop install them to fix the very loud engine sounds associated with exhaust gas exiting right off the header making 160+ db SPL very very loud exhaust noise when operating the Prius. The shop charges about $100 to weld on & install the replacement parts!

Both Prius models parked outside our expensive apartment with many other vehicles in a large shared parking lot. The thieve came between 3 & 4 am & were able to extract the units in under 5 minutes. Theft of catalytic converts on the rise because of the high metal prices of the precious noble metals precent in the ceramic core of the converter, namely palladium, platinum & rhodium.

Crooked metal recyclers pay criminals for these stolen converter units & that fuels ongoing theft. Police, FBI & government needs to crack down on the recycler who is paying the criminals to address the issue!
