Synthetic fuels or Syngas & Synthetic Diesel (liquid unleaded gasoline & diesel) made from natural gas & coal gasification gases vs isomer & cracker, polymerization & molecular fracturing respectively means that coal, natural gas, butane, propane, ethane, ethanol, ethanol, DME & biomass gases can all be converted in gasoline, diesel & jet fuels for hundreds of years & probably long after most global crude oil resources a depleted. Also, as oil prices rise, it becomes more feasible to use more complex technologies to extract crude oil or petroleum from remote locations, previously abandoned oil wells & other geological resources for crude oil.
Biofuels made with Yeast & Fungi digestion of biomass, food waste, yard waste, crop waste, cellulose, & more means that algae, plants, tree's, animals & other ecosystem products can be turned into transportation fuels.

Cheap gasoline will go away, so will cheap diesel
At over $5.20/ gal for regular unleaded, and $6.20 for premium ethanol free locally my existing retail fuel costs. I don't care what gasoline costs, I want them to jerk up the prices more to encourage people to chooser fuel efficient vehicles.
