When you learn something new, make notes about it in your own short wording & then try to apply your learning right away. Look up key information to further inform yourself online. Look for images or diagrams or graphs or charts or other evidence, data & real empirical information to support your work or works. When your writing make an outline or storyboard & then fill in the titles with paragraphs in your own words to link connected ideas & the different paragraphs into a coherent argument or presentation of ideas. Work with someone else to test or quiz yourself to further develop your understanding so that your brain can develop generalizations & predictive models like the mental cliff notes of what you are working on to make you faster & streamline your thinking into more novel & creative modes that are more effective, tips & tricks & then share your key insight to help other people!
If you encounter words you are not familiar with, look them up in a dictionary, thesaurus or encyclopedia, in first person or online. Look at the unfamiliar words root base, prefix & suffix to figure out the meaning. Consider the context of how the word being used in relation to the rest of the content or material or writing. Try to be aware of your tone or bias as a person & try to be objective & clear & leave distasteful content thats off-putting to other people out of whatever your working on. Pay attention to the key ideas you are trying to understand or working with. Make a draft, edit the draft, make a working copy & have someone else peer review, then integrate their input to polish your final work & then publish or make it happen by executing or just doing it!
