Everything Has A History

That sofa you took to the dump, your probably used it a lot before moving & throwing it away. Every object made by people has a history. This is why we need to improve waste management & recycling systems. Goods in good condition or ok condition can be lightly cleaned up & resold at steep discounts to people who cannot afford the new price, but can afford the used prices of goods in reasonably good shape that someone else with more money discarded. A circular economy can be created where all goods are tracked & the lifetime of all goods maximized to reduce harm to nature.

Consider scrapping e-waste to get 25 oz of gold from 4 tons of E-waste, sometimes in gold mines they have to move 5 tons of rock to recover 1 oz of gold. So it makes more sense to recover metal from the E-waste! No e-waste should be throw into dumps or nature when it contains copper & gold & platinum & palladium. Even the aluminum & steel & nickel from old appliances worth recovering, the brass, the magnesium, the iron & ceramics & glass, we can intelligently recover all these energetic to make new materials from waste streams & e-waste recycling.

It's hard to make a nice home full of goods for 10 billion people. The human population was never so large in the past. In the last 100 years human population increased 4-5X, so that's a lot of new things needed to supply so many more people. This was enabled by the agricultural revolution during the second industrial revolution when petrochemical fertilizers & pesticides were used to radically boost yields in agriculture by enabling more food production per acre of land. Today soil erosion & soil runoff have reduced fields in the midwest by 40 feet in some areas, all those old dead forest decayed into runoff washed away with water wasting irrigation when it was possible to use drip irrigation in the 1960's when commercial strong plastic tubing became available commercially.

We can do a much better job with all human activities & owe it to ourselves & our children & grandchildren to stop polluting the biosphere of Earth with ignorant toxic industrialization. I am talking about thoughtful intelligent considerate moderate sustainable profits, not maximizing short term profit, I am talking about long term investments into future generations to make life better for everyone!

You & everyone else has a history. You're forging history with your life right now! All human activity making history on Earth every day! Think of your legacy, what you are leaving behind. Think of what you want out of life & where the real value & enjoyment comes from, novelty, taste, flavor, experiences, love, friendship, family, social connections, feeling party of something greater than yourself, focused on faith in God & being an honorable, ethical & moral member of your community by helping other people at all times, by taking care of your home, by cleaning & organizing, fixing repairing, upgrading, remaking, recycling, scrapping, doing your part to make the world a better place than when you entered it!
