Food consider a darling by the US Federal Government because America the breadbasket of the entire world due to huge 10,000-acre mono crops of GMO wheat owned & operated by Monsanto & others, think Big Food.
Like Big Alcohol, Big Tobacco, Big E-Commerce, or all corrupt multi-national oil companies or Samsung in South Korea as an example, think bribery & collusion between the highest levels of government & big industry.
Coal, diesel, natural gas, gasoline, oil, crude oil, heavy bunker oil, biomass, propane, its the Big Carbon Energy industry that uses corruption to enable high revenue generation AKA bigger profits by exploiting nature as a waste dump & by exploiting people with externalities or tragedy of the commons with air pollutants that cause acid rain, lung & brain damage & climate change for example. I am talking about fine particular matter getting deep into peoples lungs causing scar tissue formation & COPD & asthma & lung cancer, something many miners exposed to fine dusts also suffer from.
How can food be toxic to public health when people have to eat in order to live? Excess starches, sugars & high glycemic index refined carbohydrates, ie anything made with bleached nutritionally deficient wheat flour to which added vitamins to compensate for the industrialization GMO loss of foods nutritional value with food products from conventional chemical agriculture having lost a lot of the original organic grown nutrient profile. Soil erosion, water waste through evaporation & failure to implement drip irrigation or other water saving techniques. Run off of soil & dirt into streams, lakes, rivers & other bodies of water.
I am talking about unsustainable space age agrochemical agriculture farming on huge industrial scales historically unprecedented as secularism steals away moral & psyche health from peoples minds who suffer from chronic stress, depression, fear & anxiety so profoundly that school shootings are now a widespread phenomena. Guns were more available per capital in America before school shootings, so access to guns must not be the problem.
Clearly pencils & keyboards do not cause people to misspell words, as forks do not cause obesity, its the people with mental illness that are psycho enough to bring a firearm to School to harm or hurt or kill other innocent students & faculty & staff that show that the secularization of public schools must have caused moral & ethical decay, just as divorce rates ^ other social decay causes children even more stress at home, especially because both Mom & Dad have to work full time to actually afford children & housing & food, all of which have inflated cost structures because morons in government keep printing more money or bits in a network with quantum easing which is not addressing the hyperinflation of the USD causing other countries to drop the dollar as a reserve currency while banks are failing left & right due to risky unethical investing scams that they hoped would bring in radical profit to line the pockets of the executives taking the unsafe risks with other people hard earned money, but their hedge bets went wrong and they lost 20:1 so collapse & bankruptcy.
Almost a mirror of ecosystems failing from human activity generated pollution emissions of air & water pollutants that sicken ecosystems with increased extinction rates & are causing global climate change by changing the energy capture by increasing the amount of solar radiation captured by Earths increasing CO2 rich climate made worse by more CO2 intensive emissions because of carbon combustion worldwide by nearly 9 billion people all alive at the same time roughly speaking change the Jones towards a 6KW lifestyle of so called improved living standards that enable people to buy heat pumps to cool & warm their homes efficiently such that 1 unit of electricity can move 5 units of heat for warming or cooling indoor spaces as the most energy efficient HVAC technology now or more recently globally available. I am talking about air source mini-split heat pumps that are popular & trending worldwide.
We can embrace cleaner technologies, energy efficiency, family planning, reproductive technology, birth control, sterilization, not every is fit to be the parent of an animal or a pet let alone human children. We need to apply more morality, more ethics & more intelligence just like God would, to all aspects of human activity to reduce pollutant emissions and make a more utopian existence for more people more of the time. We will reduce crime, inequality, corruption, crony capitalism & other abuses of public power with more transparency.
With social media we can pressure corporation collectively to do the right thing for its customers & employees. We can encourage governments to take care of their constituency. We can improve all aspects of life for people & nature in the biosphere of Earth with eco-friendly intelligent non-toxic smarter technologies. We need more intelligence applied in more ways in all sectors & all domains of life on Earth to help everyone more! We owe it to our children & their children to continue improving everything & nothing, and I mean nothing is impossible or anything is possible. When we work together as people motivate by love, amazing things happen! When we over focus on money & fake progress societal decay & problems of all kinds arise. Climate change, public health debacles like COVID19 or Diesel-gate. There is nothing wrong with a reasonable return on investment, with a reasonable profit, its the focus on hyper inflating profits to the point of hurting people, nature, employees & the future of the company that causes all the problems.
Follow the money. When people over focus on money, alone money cannot make a happy life, then other aspects of the life fall apart. I am thinking of workaholic men who neglect their wife & children & end up going through many divorces because they are driven to work 80+ hours per week fearful only of failing to become what they consider a person of importances, someone with enough wealth to exert political power like the executive at Samsung are doing in South Korea right now.
A grocery store cannot be outsourced, but some of the fruits & veggies can with global air trafficking of edible goods, though this also vectors pathogens like the asian pine Beatle, different fungi, molds, pests, insects, invasive species like the africanized bee killing off European Bees almost as bad as the neonicotinoid insecticides & fungicides sprayed where bees are foraging during the day time causing colony collapse disorder.
French scientists came to America to the USDA in the year 2000 & explained that these toxic substances should sprayed at night time when the bee's are not foraging for nectar. Furthermore most bee toxic pesticides are illegal to use in the EU as a result of these facts about what is killing the bees by making their immune system weaker. People exposed to chemical pesticides develop cancers & immune disorders, so why would expect something different to happen to our beneficial pollinating insect friends like the bee's that provide $21 billion in pollination value in agriculture.
Fat free & low fat foods replaced health fats with trans fats that cause heart disease & sugars to improve the flavor that was degrade by removing fats, because the fats caused shorter shelf life, so low fat & no fat processed foods boosted profits of food processing & ultra processing companies. Some of these huge household name companies in the USA which I will not name, are consider darling because of the employment of millions of local people that they create, because they pay millions of people income who them pay taxes on their income which line the pockets of government who gives special tax breaks to these mega companies in the American Food Processing Sector. Think Junk Foods, fast foods, edible food stuffs for your microwave or on the go. There are healthy alternatives in some vending machines, like salted nuts, but the candy bars sell really well. The candy bar often cheaper and many of the engineered beverages cost as much or less than the bottle of water that Coca-cola is selling in the same machine, vending machines on many school campuses in the USA, where I work at the transportation hub also.
I am talking about the kinds of foods they sell at the convenience store of gas stations. Sure, beef jerky & natural tea are available, but sugary junk foods, alcohol & cigarettes dominate sales. Branding, brain washing, advertising, the sub text of which suggests that "If you consume their product you will enjoy it & have a happier life" ironically too given that the opposite is often true, its junk food designed to divorced your bank account from your money, to capture your income, impulse purchases with little thought & similarly poor nutritional content. So thinking less to eat things that cause people to think less, a toxic feedback loop of an overworked stressed out middle class that has been hallowed out by mega-corporations via merger and acquisition that reminds me of this smartphone app game called OSMOS where you a floating orb that has to eat other small orbs to get bigger in order to become the biggest orb to win, less you be eaten by a bigger orb along the way.
In the American business sector big players like Microsoft, Alphabet Inc. Qualcom, Nvidia, Intel, AMD, IBM, and many others, they consume smaller competitors until they become the 800 lb monopoly gorilla who exerts political power like Amazon.com or Jeff Bezos does with 1051 lobbyists in Washington DC where the Senators & Congress people are compassion to highly organized high level bribery & corruption, or illegal crony capitalism or the perversion of the American democracy. There is a great depressing film or movie called Requiem for an American Dream by Noam Chomsky that speaks to theses point in much greater detail.
Toxic industrialization causes more problems than it solves. The public health problems from pollution means that gasoline actually costs the US economy $15 per gallon. Its hard to calculate how much soil run-off is costing our children & grand children with future public debt, but surely conventional agriculture with its recombined bovine growth hormone or RBST that's not different that daily not treated with RBST - false lies, smoke, mirrors & misdirection called misinformation or disinformation designed to trick & confused people into having consumer confidence by cheap conventional daily products that have hormone disrupting effects, especially on young girls going through early stages of puberty where the bovine growth home has disruptive effects on their development. Some pollutants are actually called Hormone Disrupting Chemicals or POP persistent organic pollutants or pesticides that harm public & Environmental health.
This means cheating future generations to increase short term profits of people who already have lavish wealth & literally want for nothing. I call America the last of opportunity with fake progress by an over trusting population that used to live in a honest moral country before 1964 with the USD was linked to GOLD & the Apollo Space Program & Atlas 5 rocket were being esteemed at NASA with broad public support of putting Men on the Earth's Moon back then. I think America peaked in the late 1960's and have a nostalgia for era that came before my time alive staring in the early 1980's. I just missed the 1973 oil & gas crisis as OPEC screwed the USA hard by limiting oil exports deliberate to harm the US economy. Even the music from the 1970's was weird. It's when plastic mades its way into everyones home kitchen & that toxic refined veggie oil garbage & crisco made from 19 pesticide containing cotton seed oil hydrogenate that is not at all similar to butter or olive oil.
I wouldn't feed crisco to someone I wished ill. It's like eating pesticides, ironically it contains a lot of oil soluble synthetic pesticides sprayed on cotton crops because so many different pests, weasels, love to eat the cotton plant. Hemp fiber would be a better alternative, something even drug induced hippies figured out in the late 1960's with their free love colorful paint job VW Busses they road-tripped around America inspired on LSD by the likes of Timothy Leary, Tune In, Turn On & Drop Out said professor Leary. He was only correct run that sometimes LSD can help some people overcome alcoholism.
