Does lower fuel economy, backing over children, and roll overs if a front tire blows out sound fun to you? But getting into & out of, ingress & egress, makes SUV's easier for older people to use, for injured people to use, for people with impaired mobility to use.
High up placement of the headlights on many SUV's creates direct to the eye level glare for car drivers because the ignorant thoughtless automakers care more about aesthetics than considering where the headlight is useful, namely on the road ahead of the vehicles, so putting the headlights higher up actually reduces forward lighting effectiveness, making most SUV headlights double ignorant from a design perspective. Well done automakers! A 3rd grader can think more coherently to solve such problems!

Thousand per year, Americans spend thousands of dollars per year fueling their cars & SUV's. Some people claim you will never save money buying a used EV, because the capital cost so high it negates any fuel savings & the electricity to charge the EV not free either, plus the registration fee's are higher for EV's because EV operators not contributing to gas taxes. But plenty of people buy new fossil fuel cars that cost just as much or more that require gasoline, sometimes premium fuel that costs even more, and they end up spending $1000-3000 per year on fuel.
Multiply by 10, 20 or 30 years & the lifetime fuel spending more than the capital cost of the vehicle, especially for vehicles operating in stop & go traffic that get much less than even their City fuel economy ratings. I am taking about cars that have a 15 MPG City rating that only get 8 MPG in reality when driven in stop & go traffic for hours on end, in long traffic jam in China for example, or many congested freeways & highways during peak traffic in America. When vehicles are driven in stop & go the tailpipe emissions increase of toxic exhaust gases & pollutants that form smog, an air pollutant that irritates lung tissue with toxic effects that causes chemical induced asthma and sometimes contributes to lung cancers & COPD & makes emphysema worse.
ICE vehicles emit carbon dioxide acidic carbon acid water vapor, oxides of nitrogen that make dilute nitric acid rain, and particulate matter like PM 2.5 that's toxic to lung cells, and black carbon soot, super fine nano particles of black carbon or BC that if captured makes an exceptional dark flat blank ink!
Tire tread erosion creates micro plastics that get everywhere & can now be found in breast milk, blood, urine, sweat, hair, skin & are basically unavoidable, in all foods & beverages, even showing up at the chipfabs of Intel & TSMC that squeak through their Ultra High Purity or UHP water treatment, that sometimes causes glitches in the lithography that causes yield decreases or losses on the wafers by inducing optical blurs or defects during lithographic stages or by depositing particles on the wafer during rinse stages. Some of these nano-fine particles are the result of poor fuel combustion in the engines, especially from GDI or gasoline direct injection engines that emit much more black carbo & old diesel engines without emissions controls that emit tons of soot. Super fine dust & soot particles from fuel combustion in ICE vehicle tailpipe emissions are toxic to marine wildlife, toxic to fungi & bacterial, and are kinda like sprinkling death over everything in the biosphere slowly.
Not just acid rain acidifying the oceans, lakes & other bodies of water, acid rain causes infrastructure to erode, corrode & ruse out faster. The problem starts because air is 80% nitrogen, so when the piston compresses the air with gasoline or diesel, some of the nitrogen reacts forming oxides of nitrogen & nitrogen saturated carbon compounds as traces pollutant components rarely described. There are actually thousands of substances in exhaust gas pollution, even though the toxic pollutants represent less than 1% of the engines exhaust output as 99% of engine exhaust is made of water vapor, CO2 & CO or carbon dioxide & carbon monoxide.
Its the CO or carbon monoxide emissions from engines that makes running a generator inside a home toxic, since CO can displace O2 on blood cells, causing hypoxia & death from CO poisoning when people run generators inside during power outages, usually during cold winter weather storms that knock out suspended grid power distribution wires ignorantly hung under tree branches that get snow loaded & blown around by wind, when its been practical & possible to bury the grid power distribution wires in underground conduit tubes or pipes for more than 100 years. Yes, it costs more upfront to bury the power lines, but then tree branches cannot interact with the wires causing brown-outs & blackouts that kill people!
People who smoke experience similar mental inhibition from CO that forms as tobacco combusts. The driver of the car who caused the accident that killed Princess Diana had just before driving smoked a large cigar, and had measurably elevated amounts of CO in his blood toxicology measurements, meaning he was intoxicated from mild CO hypoxia just before & when the accident occurred.
Cigarettes might deliver 1-3 mg nicotine, but the few hundred mics mcg or micrograms of CO or carbon monoxide delivered to the user smoking the cigarette contribute to the negative effects of smoking. The nicotine, especially if co-administered with caffeine from tea or coffee, tends to improve executive function & memory, mood, motivation, salience, stimulation & feels rewarding, part of why caffeine & nicotine are addictive or habit forming, because they activate the nucleus accumbens or pleasure center of the brain; think dopamine & serotonin hits :)
People abuse drugs to get high, including black pepper & nutmeg. Sugar & chocolate are psychoactive. Thinking itself, especially perception effectively an inner mental hallucination, easily disturbed by magic mushrooms, LSD, or many other substances & compounds & drugs of habitual use like cocaine or fentanyl. Think of all the prescription benzodiazepines & anti-depressant drugs prescribed to patents by doctors, made by big drug dealing pharmaceutical companies, those are psychoactive too.
People have to be psycho to perpetuate boxing when brain damage from head injuries a mainstream topic in medicine. Vladimir Putin must be a psychopath to wage a violent war against the general public of the Ukraine who have no ability to resist being bombed by missile strikes as normal working members of the public who do not have military weapons, unarmed civilians who are just trying to live & work. What kind of sicko sends the military in to kill protesting college students, oh the CCP in China, which is like Vladimir Putin, despot, evil, sick & disturbing, who should be stopped at any cost! Yea, and China partnering with Russia in World War III or World War Three or World War 3 // the axis, just like Nazi Germany in WWII or World War II or World War 2.
Rumors of wars will continue, will abound & war will continue to be waged because people are flawed hypocrite sinners & some people are under demonic oppression or have made special deals with Satan or sold their soul for personal gain, for more money or power or influence or special powers or some other bad deal that costs someone their soul for eternity. Thus satan tricks people and gives them a deal that they think sounds good, because what use if your soul in this life on Earth?
Well, you can't take money or stuff or political power after you die & your soul stands judgement before the Lord your God, creator of everything. God is the ruler of the Universe, unmatched in every possible way, superior to all other being in all dimension & especially better than Satan in every possible way. God is the only being worth worshiping. These sickos who hurt other people in the world must be aligned with the Kingdom of Hell because no God fearing person would deliberately wage war when a diplomatic not violent agreement can be established with cool, calm collected thinking & self control, with humility, kindness, respect, gratitude & appreciation the way that Jesus taught his followers in the New Testament of the Christian Bible, especially in Ephesians & Romans & in the seconds about proper Christian Conduct, or how Christian People are instructed to live by the living word of God in the Bible.
I think that most regular people in the world believe in God. A lot of the worlds leading scientists are believers, even though they don't talk about it at work. Many people can get in trouble by talking about faith, guns, politics or abortion or other hot button topics at work. Many people are silent believers who read the Bible at home for home faith is highly personal inner spiritual topic that they do care about because they actually Love God & appreciate existence, especially the beauty in other people, in nature, in animals & ecosystems that make our air, water, food & ecosystems services like pollination possible. The blue marble planet Earth amazing & without nearby parallel or anything similar in an accessible by rocket technology distance from Earth, so there is not Planet B, we have to take better care of Earth. Humans cannot survive going even 1% of the speed of light because of the positrons in space, that destroy spacecraft, electronics, and while space mostly a cold empty vacuum that's expanding, its not a habitat place for human life, its dangerous with micrometeorites, tiny particles traveling at incredible speeds that can punch through solar panels & other spacecraft materials easily, especially causing DNA damage when they shoot through the human body like GAMA radiation. It's the microbes in our gut that are required to digest foods that are killed off by the ionizing radiation in space.
To live on Mars we would have to live underground since the radiation levels are much higher on the martian surface. The lower gravity of Mars will make it much harder to walk around, the same reason that NASA gave the Apollo astronauts a 36V Silver Oxide battery powered rover during the Moon exploration missions on Earth's Moon in the late 1960's & early 1970's. I think the Moon Rover a really cool EV & with some rechargeable satellite grade batteries will make a fun moon buggy expeditions for Artemis explorers living on the moon, especially with folded up origami like deployable CIGS solar PV opened up like an umbrella & pointed at the SUN to recharge the Moon Rover satellite grade rechargeable batteries.
Space Expensive because of finite fuel mass paradox rockets like the Falcon 9 or BFR from SpaceX! All chemical rockets have this fuel mass paradox, the rocket engines burning cryogenic liquid fuels & oxidizer can only operate for less than 1200 seconds maximum. Many rockets used to put Satellite into orbits around the Earth or Sun or Moon use 2 or 3 stages, while the large launcher staged lifts the 2nd & 3rd stage up out of Earth's atmosphere, where the later stages separate from the booster & then the vacuum optimized upper stage engines fire for orbital insertion. We are living in amazing times & I want to encourage you to think energy & fuel efficient. Waste expensive & ignorant, think smarter not harder. Try to find better value, shop sales, buy less, save your money, focus on friends, family, faith & finding meaning, purpose & happiness even in negative spaces & hard situations, try to find joy, peace, enjoyment, focused on being thankful & appreciative for your life & time alive, especially since we are all, as they say, running out of time alive since everyone eventually dies and can't take the money with them into the afterlife, to heaven or hell, or where-every it is that our soul goes, even if we are reincarnated into other people or animals or plants.
