I already went on a tangent about the expulsion of the audio jack on the new iPhone! seems like they are smoking something strange down their in California these days..... perhaps smog?

I might even get one, if I drink enough alcohol! I desire to complete the eco-system for native IO fusion on my iMac with a new iPhone. I will probably end up going with the iPhone SE, its smaller and stronger, and I like that. I don't like the direction that apple took with the iPhone 6 or 6S. A bigger thinner is not always better, that makes it more fragile! Screen glass shatter galore if you drop the iPhone 6 or 6S (<-Teardown via link). What about stronger. Where is the sapphire display cover Apple? My aging Brigadier by Kyocera has a sapphire screen, and it was $399 back in 2014!
Make a special edition with a sapphire display! Jet Black with 512GB of memory for $999! Something actually cool! If the iWatch 2 goes to 1000 nits of brightness, why not the iPhone in Sunlight view mode! How about an Extended Runtime version with a huge swappable battery!

As exciting as the new iPhones are, I think its a boring phone that really missed the bar by omitting the audio jack! I see people with headphones plugged into their smartphones out in public all the time! Its really sad to see the abandonment of the 3.5mm headphone jack idea! Water proofing to IP67 is great, well done! Thats awesome. Now people can wash their iPhone 7 when they are washing their hands! Thats cool! The new cameras are awesome, including the new imagine sensor, 60% faster, wow! The quad LED true tone flash is super cool! 3.3 Billion transistors in the A10, thats wild, very awesome! The new home button is cool and so is the Taptic engine! I am curious to see how it holds up to tech reviewers who are ardent hardened CE users with a high bar for excellent scoring. The Verge will have the dirt!
No Wireless Charging again...... come on!
How are those wireless ear pods supposed to stay in your ears when you are running? Say silicon tips for many ear shapes out loud! Come on Apple!
Still expensive while other handset makers are going the way of the iPhone SE pricing, intelligent!
I understand premium products cost more, I even encouraged Apple to build a $999 version of the new iPhone!
I am looking forward to a teardown on iFixit!
