Gaming Consols vs PC Gaming, Costco Drops X-Box, Sales of X-box Declining Hardware offset by Increased Subscriptions

Gaming a ginormous global market capitalization industry as a whole, noting not just adults gambling at casinos, or pachinko parlors in Japan, but e-sports, Counter-Stike FPS valve software STEAM application, it seems that digital interactive gaming, say an X-box connected over HDMI to a large flatscreen 4K TV mounted so that you can sit on the couch & hold a controller to play comfortable for hours, while mouse & keyboard WASD inputs, computer gaming could be described as a market force driver for GPU developments.

Consider NVIDIA superior GPU chips, associated ASML hardware for making chips, possibly TSMC, Intel, IBM, Qualcomm, Apple Silicon, Google TPU, data center cloud compute elastic software as a service models, DRM, e-commerce, when we go all into to look at how all compute of every kind, specifically in the context of every gaming console, all digital games, gaming software, gaming specific hardware.

We see a very significant global economic driver across many industries, probably creating millions of well-paying jobs (gainful employment), noting how AI generative content creation and LLMs that write software quickly taking away entry level software jobs, massive layoffs recent, current & upcoming at Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta & many other big tech companies, while ASML can't hire people fast enough (speculative, based on CEO claims), moving to that part of the Netherlands also a deep dive lifestyle change for many reasons, a lack of housing in that small rural town causing rent prices to skyrocket, reminds me of Ireland after the Irish government lowered business taxes to zero.

Look at a gaming console connected to a television couch sitting system, a person enjoying rich dynamic inactive gaming content in the most comfortable possible way, also able to quickly switch to video streaming, music or other content consumption via apps like Netflix or YouTube, we see that this "legacy electronic gaming" noting Atari at the start on CRT, probably never going away.

With e-sports moving gaming almost entirely to 1440P monitors with low latency switching & high frame rate for maximum playability advantages, very high performance gaming PC desktops with best possible discrete graphics, mechanical keyboards & very high-performance mice user interface, this diverges from couch console into hard core big money e-sports where higher visual frame rate of people younger than 30 years of age have a significant advantage with fastest possible eye hand coordination.

I am reminded of playing Tetris, Wheel-of-Fortune, Breakout, on OG Nintendo plugged into a CRT with my parents & sister, growing up, we even had an Atari before that, my dad mostly played that one on the TV when I was really little. When the OG Nintendo console came home, it was a family event, we played games as a group, lots of smiles & laughs, good times, golden memories from the past :)

X-box prices are up now, two price increases in 2025, I wonder if Trump tariffs for electronics made in China are at play, noting Apple now makes some iPhones in India also, that Trump made a deal with government of India, and more going on in US Economy, International Economics & Government.
