Even a Little Bit of Exercise Staves off Mental Decline as We Age

Official government guidelines suggest 150 minutes per week or exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise that makes you hot & sweaty per week, but for many people that's something for Olympic athletes & people in their twenties, not something that an inactive 50' something who has been sedentary for 30 years can just jump up & start doing to improve their mental & physical health. New science shows that even going for a 10-minute walk more than normal sitting around all the time daily can radically reduce the risk of developing dementia, brain fog, memory problems, or obesity.

In other words we have eyes, a brain, bones & muscles to move, as in activities that make your blood pressure & pulse & breathing increasing, & boost your metabolism, that activate body fat burning, that raise your basal metabolic rate, that possibly might make you feel sweaty & want to take a shower after soaking your clothes with sweat, like the Meta 2 VR kit running Les Mills Body Combat HIIT that I do twice per week that results heating me up & making me breathe so hard I can hardly squeak out a word without gasping for another breath, dripping in sweat like a professional basketball player actively punishing the game on the court as fans watch, running back and forth to get the ball & shoot a hoop shot or block the opponent from doing so, to pass the ball, lots of intense burst activities one after the other, they become hot & dripping in sweat sweaty when playing like I do when doing VR workouts, that is the vigorous activities the government is suggesting people get 75 minutes of per week, which I am unable to do since my workouts are about 15 minutes each, twice a week, so 30 minutes.

I am 1 five feet eleven inches tall & weigh 173 us pounds, am 41.5 years old, & have been about that size for most of the last 10 years, but was able to undo high blood pressure & diabetes type 2 by intermittent fasting & a few times per year I do a water only fast for 3 or 5 days, though this summer during summer break before we go to Osaka Japan for food tourism, I will be water only fasting for 10+ days with the hope of reversing IBS or irritable bowl syndrome, an idiopathic condition my doctor cannot figure out what the cause is, he does suggest that not getting enough sleep & chronic stress may be behind it & suggested I cut back on coffee & switch over to green tea.

I also stopped drinking all forms of alcohol about 145 days ago to see if that would help & surely my mind feels sharper, I sleep better, no longer get tension headaches, have more energy, have more staminal, feel better all the time, & it saves a lot of money. Before stopping alcohol I was spending around $350 per month on beer, wine, spirits, other forms, & enjoying them in the evening with dinner, on Friday night & Saturday mostly. After many years of doing that since my 20's, I felt like God told me to give up alcohol & watching the video of Trump talking about his brother Fred who died as the result of complications from alcoholism, that moreover encouraged me further to stop drinking.
