Artificial Intelligence war largely driven by cryptography blockchain hype information technology social media smart devices of all kinds or portable electronics where these CHIPS are the brains that make them work, such that nearly all vehicles now contain dozens or hundreds of chips, as do many new appliances, even something as benign as a vacuum cleaner with smart particle scanning laser that quantifies air particles by size PM 1.0 or PM 2.5 or PM 5.0 or PM 10 or PM whatever, then displaying it on a OLED screen at the top of the portable lithium ion battery powered stick vacuum made by Dyson or similar, or even what one famous technology writer calls information furniture or what former CEO of Intel called new cars rolling data centers for self-driving, vehicle to vehicle communications, multiple ADAS features & functions, like automatic emergency breaking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, or vehicle to grid smart intersection light computer control communication. Chips as in the most advanced IC or integrated circuits are broadly utilized in most domains of worldwide advanced economic activities of nearly all kinds and are of incredible and increasing value in more economies, especially in wealthy countries where a generalized shift away from human labor blue collar manufacturing jobs gives way to more intellectual white collar services jobs, but we know that for every 100 blue collar jobs outsourced from USA to China we also lose at least 5 white collar Jobs at Microsoft or Amazon or NVIDIA & more damaging effects of CCP cloning whatever we manufacture in China means it costs even more.
