2038 Electrical Power Dead Worldwide

 In 2026 General Electric shows off Singularity Power technology that makes use of tiny manmade black holes to create continual vacuum energy generating to make continuous electric current flow so abundantly that as market penetration increases towards complete diffusion that replaces all other power & energy technologies. We are talking about energy density of synthetic singularities made in particle accelerators, at CERN in 2004, on accident, 2 million times more energy dense than plutonium. For 10 years from 2027 till 2037 nearly limitless electricity makes all people very wealthy, creates a strong global universal currency or money system, untold wealth & provides the solution to all space trash and ocean and air pollution. Singularity Energy also know as Dark Energy, enables the complete decarbonization of all energy in transport, mining, materials processing, refining, smelting, casting, welding, lasers, computers, appliances, pumps, motors, fans, servers & cloud compute, compressors & heat pumps & HVAC, all human energy systems are upgraded and enhanced with Singularity Power tech. Then in 2038 a worldwide electrical storm kicked off by a CME or coronal mass ejection from the Sun wiped out all electrical & computer & information systems worldwide, plunging society into a dark age of chaos where 90% of the public worldwide dead within 3 months of the sustained global power blackouts. 

Nothing works. No gas pumps, no refrigerators, debit & credit & all computers & smart phones dead. No electronics and no power generator. All electric grids, switching & sub stations, all power plants & all electrical systems and most vehicles are broken or destroyed by the CME EMP electrical shorting storm, that cooks wires and conductors in chip sets and as big as GW class power generator windings, all burned or fried & shorted out or melted instantly. All these things have to be made from scratch which takes years. 

Spacetime or The Universe as we know it from science today, over dead & gone by 2564 / after that no time traveler has been able to go past that date in the future. 

Someone from the future time traveled back to 1971 where he helped Intel to launch the 4004 or first widely commercialized integrated circuit chip! Others from the future helped us with rechargeable batteries & how to make solar PV. 

Others from deeper into the future from other dimensions have come to tell mankind to stop developing nuclear weapons and bioweapons, and radically reduce pollution to improve the health of the biosphere so we can educate healthy people to engineer our way off of Earth so we can colonize other Earth like planets many light years away from our local solar system. NASA already found hundreds of thousand of water rock Earth like planets with the Hubble and JWST. 

After 2038 a new society emerges under the Anti Christ who rules on Earth as the supreme leader of the Earth.

Then in 2564 God returns & destroys the heavens & all existence & makes a new Heaven & New Earth populated by all who loved God in their heart! 

So give God praise & thank him for the next 15 years of electricity while we still have functional electrical utility systems & electronics that work. 

Most people will ignore this & say it’s fiction, saying it’s impossible to support these claims with facts. But I firmly believe that what I share is true, even thought it’s from my imagination. Call that prediction of future events or forecasting, but I have a growing vast amount of big data supporting this understanding of quantum space weather that radically increases the Suns energy output in early 2038. By summer of 2038 the ongoing electrical storms caused by CME events hitting different areas around the globe, causes society to plunge into lawless chaos. 

Hybrid Cars & Plug-in Hybrid Cars

BEV's or battery electric vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 or Tesla Model Y are very popular & made in America. Tough several issues plague purchasers of such vehicles.

~ Expensive tires that only last 10,000 & often much less than that. Replacements $2000-4000

~ Expensive Registration because of Gas Tax Loss EV Taxes states add to registration fees for EVs. 

~ Expensive Insurance because of the aluminum intensive design that makes repairs very costly.

~ Slow Recharging Taked 10X longer than Gas Station Fuel Refills

~ Battery fading or loss of capacity with charging cycle, use & time, made worse faster by 100% saturation full charging which causes lithium to be lost stuck in the carbon, sulfur, or silicon nano wire anode materials. Additionally, dendrite formation causes progressive soft shorting through the electrode separator film that keeps the cathode lithium nickel aluminum cobalt manganese mixture from electrically shorting with the anode carbon, sulfur or silicon nanowires. 

~ Flammable electrolyte made of oily solvents that cause many hobby LiPo RC drone batteries & battery packs are well known to swell up or puff up with internal gas pressure & if the mylar film containing the hobby cells rips, especially when mostly fully charged, a vent with flame & lots of blue, white toxic smoke emitted accident occurs. 

In EV's a battery fire much worse because of the size of the battery pack, often 200-1500 lbs of lithium-ion batteries in series & parallel packs usually underslung beneath the vehicle, such that Tesla even installed a titanium battery protector shield under the Model S after news reports of Model S striking road debris later catching fire because of damage to the battery pack.  

HEV's address most of the Pure Electric Vehicle issues because they are mostly gasoline powered & only use the electric motors & traction battery to help the gasoline engine, since electric motors make torque instantly, while gasoline engines are better at making torque at higher RPM & sustained output & peak power for mountain pass climbing at 80 MPH which would sap an EV battery rapidly. 

Thus hybrids enable advanced start stop, energy recovery, brake regen, e-boost assist, torque assist, power assist, and can help to make up for all the power curve output problems with the gasoline engine, typically a long stroke shortened compression stroke Atkinson cycle engine designed to reduce pumping losses & improve thermal efficiency, the way that many Toyota Prius models for more than 20 years have been enabling people to get 40-60 MPG on regular unleaded gasoline with nearly 600 mi of range on 11.9 gallons of unleaded 87 octane gasoline, often E10 with 10% ethanol in the USA. 

PHEV blend the best of both an EV & a traditional Hybrid Electric vehicle. With a smaller traction battery than a pure electric vehicle, but a traction battery 4-10X bigger than a traditional hybrid battery, this means PHEV can travel for 10-60 mi in electric mode, then revert to running on gasoline for 400+ more miles of range in hybrid mode. 

This enables the PHEV to behave like a low local emissions BEV to reduce local air pollutants, while still enabling long range winter mountain pass climbing road trips & other sustained higher energy modes where rapid battery depletion causes range anxiety to people attempting such trips in purely electric vehicles with 300mi best case scenario range from the ~100kWh battery. 

In reality, worse case winter mountain pass climbing at 80 MPH with a full SUV, means that long range EV SUV that claims 300mi of range, more like 140mi of range worst case, with a newer battery. Those numbers get worse with time as the EV battery suffers loses of capacity with both regular use cycling, level 3 DC fast charging, high heat exposure, deep prolonged cold that causes the battery heaters to run 7kw of load to keep the battery warm since Li-Ion do not work well below 40 F & are dangerous to charge if frozen because that can result in electroplating lithium inside the cell, which causes a battery to catch fire when charged frozen cold below 32 F or 0 degrees Centigrade. 

Many Hybrid vehicles have the lowest Total Cost of Ownership when compared to gasoline vehicles of the same model, size or class. Toyota hybrids for example have been in high volume production, sold by the tens of millions worldwide for more than 20 years now & are proven to have Legendary reliability, excellent fuel economy & pleasing operation. Hybrids regularly save 3X more in fuel costs than the price premium they cost upfront vs the gas only versions. 

This is particularly true when gasoline prices are higher, resulting in a faster payback of the Hybrid drivetrain price increase over the ICE or gas-powered car or SUV. When energy or fuel prices are higher, premium efficiency devices that cost more upfront but have radically lower long term operating costs tend to sell better. 

This means heat pumps are being integrated into HVAC, appliances, vehicles & many other applications because of their superior & unmatched ability to heat & cool efficiently. Some heat pumps can achieve a COP or coefficient of performance of 7.1 meaning 1 unit of electricity can move 7 units of heat for cooling or heating. 

HEV & PHEV are more complicated to make & work on than ICE vehicles. They have higher resource requirements upfront & thus higher costs, like pure EV's, so there is a break-even carbon neutrality point after 4-12 years of operation when the premium efficiency vehicle produces less net carbon & pollutant emissions because of its superior fuel economy & lower emissions. 

If the inverter or battery of an EV, HEV or PHEV fails outside the OEM warranty which is often 8-10 years from new sales date, these electromotive vehicle parts can be complicated or expensive to replace, especially given the depreciated value of the vehicles after the hybrid battery & drivetrain warranty expires. 

HEV & PHEV & EV make brakes last longer than ICE since slowing down often runs the traction motor as a generator to charge the battery to add 10-15% more EV mode range. Brake Regen captures energy that would normally be wasted scrubbing metal or carbon ceramic brake rotors with brake pads applied in a gripping manner by a hydraulic brake caliper with hydraulic pistons that press the brake pads with clamping force against the rotating surface of the brake rotor, which can be solid, slotted or drilled for better heat dissipation. Brake fade is cause by the brake rotor overheating, which causes gas emissions from the surface that keep the brake pads from creating friction to slow down the vehicle, causing a soft feel in the brake pedal known as brake fade. Even our E-bike has hydraulic brakes! 

Less noise at low speeds means less noise pollution, plus the automakers of BEV, PHEV & HEV do more to reduce noise than they do on typical ICE vehicles. This makes less NVH inside the vehicle cabin, so a quieter ride, and less noise outside to disturb other people or animals nearby. In technological terms, this similar to being considerate or thoughtful. Besides, pollution not nice to anything living. Worse, pollution toxic & harmful to people, animals & nature. It does not matter if burning fossil fuels causes climate change, we need to decarbonize to reduce public harm cause by combustion pollution emissions. 

Vehicles like cars & SUV & trucks are eco-toxic. They cause emissions at the manufacturing level & making one for 8 billion people causes a lot of toxic emissions, not just of carbon dioxide. While catalytic converters reduce harmful emissions by 95%, they are not perfect & wear out & are expensive to replace if they are stolen. 

Why does a catalytic converter wear out. With exhaust gas at 1000 degrees, the ceramic honeycomb structure with high surface area for the noble metal slurry gets red hot, so the platinum, palladium, rhodium, copper, nickel & other catalytic metals can reversibly provide electrons to remediate the pollutant into non-toxic substances. For example, Oxides of Nitrogen which are poisonous toxic pollutants are broken down by a fully hot operating catalytic converter into Oxygen & Nitrogen, natural components of air. This is why fuel injection + emissions controls radically reduced vehicle pollutant emissions.

You might wonder why generators & lawnmowers & other gas-powered products lack fuel injection & exhaust emissions controls. Cost! Also, the hot exhaust gas slowly boils off the rare metals in the catalytic converter. After 10,000 hours of engine operation the cat mostly depleted of its catalytic elements. That also means these metals, platinum, palladium, rhodium, are present in the exhaust as tiny components of the Un remediated HC pollutants or hydrocarbon vapors that given exhaust its characteristic smell, the same blow by products that squeak past the piston rings & fuel engine oil. This is why regular oil changes radically improve an engines net lifetime operating life. 

The automakers are lazy or greedy, because they know how to make gasoline engines with 70% thermal efficiency using recuperation generation just like most stationary natural gas power plants do. 

Onboard engine oil recycling using exhaust heat & distillation + filtering could make engine oil last 5X longer. But this a complicated system. Inside the crankcase oil splashed & sprayed around the crankshaft, con-rods, piston skirts, bearings, up in the head for the valves & camshaft, wherever metal on metal friction an oil film makes the parts last 1000x longer. Crank case vapors are usually pipped back into the intake to be burned, to reduce the combustion temperatures along with the EGR supplied exhaust gas that also reduces combustion temperature. 

Reducing the combustion temperature reduces complicated chemical reactions in a way that reduces toxic emissions. At higher combustion temperatures more kinds of chemicals are produced & higher thermal loads make the cylinder walls, pistons, piston rings & other parts of the engine to wear out faster. This is also why water-cooled engines have longer useful life that air heatsink oil cooled engines that lack water cooling. 

To illustrate why the automakers are greedy or lazy, consider a long-life APU or auxiliary power unit from a commercial airplane. Turbine APU are the most power dense & most reliable portable power generators. In an PHEV or RE-EV range extended EV, and APU would be a superior range extender.
BMW i3 REX for example makes use of a Maxxie Scooter 650cc twin engine from one of BMW powersport vehicles, as a 22kW range extender in the truck of the range extended REX i3. This adds a few hundred pounds to the REX models which makes them accelerate & handle worse but gets rid of the battery range anxiety. This is similar to the gasoline engine motor generator set in a PHEV. 

Range Extended Electric Vehicles & Plug-In Hybrid Vehicles. Similar concepts by mixing gasoline engines, electric motors & generators with EV batteries, to offer a premium efficiency solution with the limitations of limited lithium-ion batteries alone. 

Our 22 Corolla Hybrid has the 2ZR-FXE 1.8L Atkison cycle inline 4 that Toyota used in the 3rd & 4th Gen Prius & many other vehicles. The dual electric motor PSD mixes the gasoline engine, traction motor, and generator motor together with many blended operation modes. A tiny 0.75kWh lithium carbonyl battery pack used to store brake regen energy, to help the engine with e-boost early torque, to enable advance engine auto start-stop.

0W-16 thinner synthetic motor oil helps the engine avoid wear with the frequent start stop cycles. I am getting well over 60 MPG in the Corolla Hybrid using safety focused light hypermiling. With every trick I learned from Wayne Gerdes, I can get the Corolla Hybrid to yield over 80 MPG. Even in ICE vehicles, auto-start-stop can boost city fuel economy 10-30%. 

Take the 50 MPG Prius & compare it to a conventional ICE with the same capacities that averages 34 MPG. Thats 16 MPG better for 200,000 miles. The gas savings alone more than pay for the entire price of the Prius. Same with the 33 MPG Corolla vs 55 MPG Corolla Hybrid. Thats 22 MPG better, so it also radically reduces operating costs & more than pays for the price difference in fuel savings quickly. 

Gas hogs are fun high-performance vehicle but getting hit for $100 at the gas pump every few days means spending thousands of dollars for fuel per month. Thats not wise or intelligent for commuting in traffic. Sure, the WRX fun for rally racing dirt & gravel roads in rural areas WRC events, but a 6-speed manual WRC in stop & go traffic on congested highway 900 nearby would be a total pain. Sure, you could leave the WRX in first gear & trolley along at 4 MPH leaving a big space buffer between the front of the WRX & the vehicle you're following in stop & go traffic congestion, but you would be getting like 17 MPG in such conditions & WRX turbo motor requires premium fuel that costs more. 

The fueling costs to use the WRX in congested areas would be a huge price premium. But at a weekend mud toy with exceptional AWD, Subaru sells the best AWD vehicles. Turbo puts more stress on the WRX motor, so while the 2.5L + CVT of the current Cross trek can last 200,000-300,000 miles according to Scotty Kilmer the expert mechanic on his YouTube channel. He says he does not like turbocharged engines because all that forced induction stress makes the engine use more fuel & wear out faster. 

He did say that when the Turbocharged engine WRX driven gently, it can get better fuel economy than the non-turbo engines of other Subarus. This is known as early shifting for torque peak hypermiling with a manual transmission. He had a customer with a WRX that was able to get 44 MPG going 80 MPH over a mountain pass, using lift off the throttle in 6th gear energy efficient driving techniques where you stay in the right lane while lightly slowing down such that you're going just a tad less than the speed limit at the peak before going back down the mountain where you let gravity assist help speed you back up to just over the speed limit.

When they make a smaller engine like the GR Corolla make 300 HP, that means 21 city & 28 highway fuel economy ratings from the EPA. If you shift like a bat out of hell & are hard on the throttle, it can be way lower MPG than that. In stop & go traffic, it could dip to 12 MPG or worse. Especially if you have to deice the car by warming it up for 10 min. In these cases, the fuel being burned & the vehicle not moving so negative MPG. This is why start stop systems improve fuel economy so much, they turn the gasoline engine off all the time to reduce idle fuel waste in ways that boosts fuel economy while lowering emissions. 

Adding Auto Start Stop to an ICE vehicle only costs an automaker a few hundred dollars. They could have been doing this with a 48v combined alternator starter years ago. But back in 1999 gasoline in the USA was about $1/gal, so consumers put no pressure on Automakers to include costly fuel efficiency features that would make cars & SUV's a bit more expensive up front.

Synthetic Gasoline burns much cleaner like propane & has a 10-year shelf life, when conventional E10 gasoline starts breaking down in a gas can after 3 months. Old conventional gasoline forms waxy strings as it oxidizes the alkanes present in the fuel. You can red oily fuel stabilizers to your gas tank to improve gasoline shelf life to 2 years. 

Synthetic gasoline costs more than $7 per gallon, so it only sells well in niche applications.

Commercially synthetic gasoline made using Shell GTL or gas to liquids high volume fuel making processes invented in WWII Germany since there were no local oil resources in Germany to make fuel for the German Military. TheNazi party funded Fischer & Tropsch, two petrochemical chemical engineers to develop a way to make jet fuel, kerosine, diesel, & gasoline for gasified coal gases.

A chain connects the transmission with the 48v traction motor & LiFePo4 battery of 1.3kWh under the seat that required the swingarm to be longer. It has 650 level performance, Prius like idle-stop, EV start till 11mph when the engine comes to life. It can operate in EV mode in the first 4 gears up to 40 MPH, and if the battery goes to 20% low charge the engine will turn on automatically to charge it. A combined starter alternator mounted to the engine crank directly to reduce weight created by adding motor & hybrid long life lithium iron phosphate battery, controllers & wiring harness. 

Early testing on the dash shows 50-56 MPG while it has to come to the USA & sell for a while in good volumes for real world fuel economy testing. The engine a 451cc parallel twin from the Eliminator, with extensive tweaks on the intake, ignition, exhaust, ECU & cooling to enable the hybrid motor assist, brake energy regen, Eco mode HEV operation, sport E-boost modes & other riding modes with seamless transition between the engine or motor, for smooth torque & power, though the transmission automatic, no manual shifting here. The engine makes 56 HP * the HEV motor makes 12hp peak, 7 hp nominal. Combined, Ninja 7 Hybrid brings 650cc class performance with the fuel economy of a 300cc bike.

Toyota & Yamaha & Our 20 MT03 (Exceptional, I Love It) 

I love our 2020 Yamaha MT03 & have spiritual experiences on it! Its balanced agile riding, comfy seating geometry, excellent thermal efficiency & good fuel economy, snappy performance like a 400HP car, amazing tactile foot feedback shifty click 6 speed sequential transmission excellent with dash gear selection data at a glance easy to read dash display, featuring a clock, fuel economy, tachometer, engine temperature, and modes selected via the B&W sunlight readable LDC display :) I can glance at it & see the important info easily fast. 

Noting that when ridden normally my 2020 Yamah MT-03 achieves about 53-58 MPG from its 321cc offset parallel twin derived from 11 years of use in the R3, refined & optimized extensively. Toyota did that in the 2022 Corolla Hybrid with HSD & 2ZR-FXE which has been used in Prius III & IV since late 2009. Noting that Toyota & Yamaha work together on vehicles & engines all the time, and Toyota does not sell motorcycles, so Yamaha is the closest thing you can get to a Toyota motorcycle. I can hypermile the MT03 up to over 80MPG, and if I flog it like I stole it, it still gives 44 MPG. Sure, the Corolla Hybrid does better than the MT03 in terms of fuel economy, but while the MT03 was $6K out the door, the 1 year used 22 Corolla Hybrid cost me just over $28K, or almost 5x more. 

Understanding Premium Efficiency (Expensive to Get Best Energy Efficiency)

With mini-split heat pumps, cheap 3.1 COP units cost $500 while the hyper efficient premium 7.2 COP units cost $1600 or more. So with more capital you can buy "Premium Efficiency" devices, machines, systems, appliances, vehicles, buildings, homes & other high energy efficiency stuff. Otherwise known as chasing diminishing returns. A home furnace for forced air heating with 85% natural gas to hot air creation efficiency might cost $4-$6K while the 96% efficiency natural gas furnace costs 30-50% more in upfront cost, even though it will cost less long term because of natural gas savings. 

Consider operating costs long term more than upfront capital costs, because operating costs over 12 or more years usually eclipse the capital cost, and this broadly applies to many systems & devices. The more expensive system is to achieve premium efficiency, the more resource intense they are, meaning more indirect harm to nature or the biosphere of Earth with more pollution emitted during the manufacturing of the higher technology premium efficiency machine or device or system. 

1918 Hybrid Electric Vehicle Technology

Hybrid Electric Vehicle an idea that comes from 1918 when Ferdinand Porsche founder of the eponymously named automaker in Germany, created the world's first hybrid electric vehicle, the Loehner Porche which has huge spring mounted flooded lead acid batteries, electric wheel motors & a gasoline engine prime motor that also charged the batteries. Mixte Loehner Porsche was very expensive at ~$95K USD2023 when other gasoline cars & BEV's of that time were selling for under $10K USD2023 equivalent when adjusted for inflation more or less.

Starting in 1981 & accelerating in 1994, Toyota began commercialization efforts to produce the strong hybrid OG 1st generation Prius :) Now Toyota has sold many tens of millions of hybrid electric cars, SUV, and trucks that are reliable when driven daily for many years on end of many thousands of hours with basic maintenance. Toyota has a sterling reputation & famous all over the world for making the most reliable vehicles.

Our 2005 Prius II still going strong with original hybrid battery! Gives 46 MPG all day, now Allan driving it a lot more that I was. I think we can milk it for 850,000 mi ODO eventually. Its possible to hypermile the 1NZ-FXE 1.5L second generation Prius to over 50 MPG. 

Our 2010 Prius III still going strong with original hybrid battery, with ~160K mi ODO, it gives 48 MPG real world all day long around town & on all highway 70-80 MPH mountain pass climbing road drips throughout America like we did 2 years ago in the Summer :) Hypermiling this Gen 3 prius can get the fuel economy to around 55 MPG. 

Our 2022 Corolla Hybrid only has just less than 27,000 mi ODO & gives more than 55 MPG real world. I can hypermile it to around 74-77 MPG in normal mode without using ECO using hypermiling techniques that I learned about from Wayne Gerdes via AutoBlog Green back in 2006, probably from Wikipedia & Jalopnik also.

12 volt Automotive Batteries

The engine alternator or DC:DC converter keeps the 12 volt vehicle battery charged (usually a lead acid battery, PbA or SLI or AGM) and this type of battery even in EV's to act as an energy buffer for all the 12v devices on the vehicle. This is because the voltage of the hybrid or EV or PHEV traction battery often 200 volts to 800 volts, so this has to be stepped down to 14.2v to charge the 12v battery. All the lamps & bulbs & blower fans & compressors & other electrical pumps & motors for accessories operate on 8 to 16 volts DC from the car battery. 

This means while your car is parked, the 12v battery has a persistent drain even when the car is off, since they are never really dark off. 

The security system & blinking red security light & key fob listening system are always on. The ECU & data upload system usually locked on continually too. The compute system do go into very low power modes when the vehicle turned off otherwise the 30-80lbs or 20-50kg 12v automotive battery would be drained to 0% charged or completely discharged in less than 24 hours. You would then need to manually unlock the car to gain access to the battery to use a battery charger to recharge the 12v battery to make the vehicle useful.

A use a 700w dehumidifier in our tiny home's ~80 square foot bathroom with stacked washer dryer unit, to warm & dry the bathroom while taking a shower. Hang drying high-speed spin-dried damp clothing to remove the residual water works well at warmer temperatures like 70-80 degrees F, and less than 50% humidity, so the vapor pressure of the water in the damp clothes can escape. 

Waste heat from the dehumidifier warms the bathroom while the cold condensation coils created by the compressor driven refrigeration circuit causes water vapor to condense into collected in the discharge tank liquid water that we use to flush the toilet, since it's not sanitary, since I have never setup the machine to make sanitary water infused with minerals for human consumption. 

The entire room can become a clothing dryer because waste heat from the dehumidifier warms the room while removing water vapor from the air, effectively turning the entire room into a slow warm dryer with water vapor removal. This way we do not have to use the exhaust fan to remove water vapor from showering, which would take heat energy out of our home & draw in cold outside air, making our 200 square foot tiny home colder, also requiring us to heat more wasting power. Same with the clothing dryer, since it heats air & then discharges the hot moist air from drying clothes to the exterior with no energy recovery. This means cold air drawn into to replace the hot air exhausted. If the dryer sent the hot moist air through a heat recovery ventilator, energy recovery of warming air could be captured while the moisture could still be discharged. 

In this case, we see that the entire setup can act like a air source heat pump system. Though a properly designed mini-split for HVAC will have a much higher COP or coefficient of performance, meaning much higher energy efficiency for heating & cooling, or lower utility bills & lower operating costs monthly as the most efficient way to heat or cool an indoor space. I am only saying this because there are many ways to capture heat from hot water from the shower drain, from hot air from the clothing dryer exhaust, from the furnace exhaust heat, from waste heat from the fridge, microwave, there are many ways to exploit the energy difference between the inside air of the home & the cold outside air during the winter months.

Make no mistake, buying a new car not eco-friendly / car making be it an ICE or EV, resource intensive or causes harm to nature with pollution emissions, not just CO2 or carbon emissions. 

EV's destroy tires 3X to 10X faster because of their higher mass & instant torque, which also makes them a blast to accelerate, really quiet on the inside & very energy efficient when compared to gasoline powered equivalent vehicles with engines that have lower than 40% thermal efficiency. Gasoline not the problem, it has 44 megajoules of energy per us gallon, its the stupid greedy lazy car manufacturers that keep selling low thermal efficiency unreliable car engines with plastic engine parts that fail early. 

I am looking at GM, Fiat, Ford & others who do not have a sterling reputation for reliability like Toyota. I want my car to work every time I go to drive it, daily, for commuting, for years on end with basic maintenance. I want good 40+ MPG of fuel economy on regular fuel, not premium. After 100 years of engine design experience they know how to make engines to last 10,000 hours or more with regular oil changes. They can also make changing the engine oil easier with a cannister style oil filter & drain bolt valve. I am surprised that they don't have onboard oil thermal chemical reconditioning to enhance oil life in an oil cleaning system more advanced than just a filter & oil pump. 

Is a Lucid Gravity reliable, how about the Lucid Air, who knows. Its a newer BEV maker without enough history to tell if these expensive premium EV's will hold up well. How much battery capacity loss will happen per cycle, per year, and how long will the battery pack last & how much will it cost to replace? There are lots of good questions that have not been answered yet because we don't know what we don't know until we have data & facts to know about, and that means Meta long term data analysis in the future. Only time will tell, more or less. What we can say is that luxury vehicles tend to depreciate the fastest, have higher insurance costs, have higher operating costs, have higher maintained & repair costs, and tend to have a snobbery association that I would not want to personally be seen with. I live near Seattle with lots of low skill drivers who have more money for a new fancy luxury EV than driving skills, who do braindead unsafe dangerous things in traffic that I see while driving the School Bus full of children. Shame on bad drivers for making other people less safe & shame of the state for giving these fools drivers licenses.

 Arm-chair environmentalism is about reducing your individual energy use, using every bit of high efficiency technology you can buy. That is not eco-friendly. Its super resource intensive. Making EV batteries, solar panels, wind turbines, hydro dams, we can't make electricity without causing problems with pollution in the biosphere. 

We cannot solve problems created by technology by throwing more technology at the problems. That just creates more different kinds of problems, the way that war also does not solve problems, but kills a lot of people, costs a lot, and causes a lot of damage & harm to nature, the economy & other people. All so a small minority of people can execute political power over other people in other countries. Thats warped & sick. 

There is a popular YouTube Channel called Undecided with Matt & he makes content showing the extreme premium efficiency obtained by throwing a lot of technology that's expensive into a solar smart home with whole home automation. 

Expense reflective at this scale of resource intensity or negative impacts of buying all that stuff needlessly. The upgrade lifestyle culture toxic to the biosphere & the reason that so many sickos care more about money than themselves, other people or nature. Audi A2 showed off aluminum castings to make a fuel-efficient passenger car that gets nearly 50 MPG or 4.5L/100km, but Audi lost nearly $7 grand on each A2 sold, so they scrapped that project, well Bernd did when he took charge.

Solar PV varies in cost by many factors, but given that bright sky only available for an hour of so during dark multi-day winter storms, an all Solar PV home has to have 10X more solar PV panels & a robust large capacity whole home battery + backup generator to actually not lose electrical power to run the appliances. 

Automakers know how to build cars to last 3 million miles or 50 year, but they dont make them that way on purpose because the resulting long life car would cost 40-60% more upfront & most people are not willing to pay that much more for long term reliability. Only Toyota prides themselves on selling people reliable cars. So, what is wrong with all the other automakers? It's hard to make a profitable automaker, since vehicles are complex energy & materially intensive products to make, so the entire supply chain for automaker global in nature & total vertical integration nearly impossible. So many automakers are actually system integrators who design a vehicle where the parts are made by other companies all around the world. Tesla BEV maker in California was the first US automaker success in more than 90 years. 

That gave Tesla a lot of brand cache. Some snobbery mixed in with the upmarket buyers of Tesla to produce a cultural EV trend, saying that "Battery electric vehicles can be as good as ICE fossil fueled internal combustion engine vehicles" / and Tesla sells some Performance EV's with dual motors that accelerate to 60 MPH in under 3 seconds, like a hyper car or supercar. 

It's the 300 mi magic range & 100kWh battery that becomes the capacity fade nightmare without government tax incentives to compete in the cold bitter business world of the global marketplace. There is no free lunch in physics & its is not easy or cheap to make a complicate product like a Tesla Model Y or Toyota Rav4 Prime. 

I used a PHEV & BEV as examples, both SUV models because those are popular. I like personally smaller cars like the Prius & Corolla or Mazda Miata & wish I could wear a battery electric helicopter backpack to hop around like a tech zealot since I am. This wish was translated into the $6K consumption of a Yamaha MT-03, and Honda PCX-150 before that. We still have both & ride them in the summer or warmer months. 

Honda started making motorcycles by adapting 500cc generator motors that were originally for WWII Philips radios, onto bicycle frames in a 12 square meter shack with 12 men. Today Honda is the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer, with more than 100 million Super-Cubs sold worldwide. If the Corolla Hybrid at 2850 lbs or 1296kg can achieve 77 MPG with light hypermiling, then motorcycles with similar performance should get 3X better fuel economy. 

Our 2-2013 Honda PXC scooter has a 153cc liquid cooled fuel injected single engine & gets 89-105 MPG while cruising between 20-50 MPH. The 1.1 gallon fuel tank results in only about 100 miles of range. This is a good example of how power scaling vs thermal efficiency & capital cost are nonlinear integrations mathematically. Said another way, there is a point in capital cost where premium efficiency becomes plausible such that a large machine has better energy economy than a smaller cheaper lighter machine. 

This means that CAE needed to compare multi-variable engineering problems, further delimiting who actually understands vehicle energy economy, other than to just compare MPG between models, to think about vehicle purchasing budget, operating costs to fuel weekly or monthly, costs to insure, maintenance, and depreciation. Thats a lot to consider without doing advanced research on computers. 

Then again, the internet allows people to do product research so anyone who puts forth a decent amount of effort to searching can find answers that result in their understanding that Toyota the best automaker because they have a legendary history of selling people all around the world cars that keep going & going, reliable personal automobiles. 

Most countries have terrible public transportation, especially American cities. In America you have to have a car to function in most locals. Meg & I believe that all cities should have much better public transportation like Amsterdam, Tokyo, New York or Paris. I believe the talking heads in politics only care about money, say one thing and do another, mostly to appease those who bribed them into office by helping to pay for the election campaign that allowed the corrupted individuals to obtain public offices. 

This is why lobbying a betrayal of public interest, violate the trust of the people, cheating the constituency with lies & misinformation to confuse & misdirect people, but also because of the corruption that gets large companies like Amazon political representation while normal working people like Dr. O or Meg or I are basically left to our own to figure out how to make a nice life or nice living. 

There are warped sickos in governments who actually order war without cause. There are warped sickos in high places that traffic children they abuse for entertainment. There are warped criminals who have no sense of moral or ethical personal accountability. All these public shootings are evidence of societal decay, and no electric vehicle is going to solve these problems. I am particularly skeptical of BEV's because many world governments seem so keen to promote them. 

In Washington State owning an EV means you annual vehicle tabs go from under $200 per year to over $650, thus the state claims its because of lost gasoline sales taxes, but that's the same amount of fuel taxes as an F150 getting 14MPG driven 15,000 miles. Clearly the EV taxes that WA State enacts, not reflective of the budget reality of people who buy a used Nissan LEAF as a cheap commuter car. 

I think a lot of rich people are out of touch with the hard reality of currency inflation that makes life more expensive & harder for people at the bottom. "Let them eat cake" said that arrogant queen of France. So selfish people living opulent lives have a history of being sociopathic or narcissistic or self centered or uncaring, cold & inhospitable. I personally know so really nice wealthy people. There are warped sickos who are broke too. 

We can find bad people in all levels of society. Remember the governments are just made of the people, well technically the people in government started out as part of the general public. But many US Senators believe they are beyond justice, like Hillary Clinton who had classified pentagon information in private home server. What kind of person has a file sever at home with classified pentagon information on it? If you or I were caught doing that, we would be charged with sedition & treason & executed by the state as an enemy of the state. 

We see in this example that life was not fair & not fair now & probably never will be fair for everyone, sadly. Fortunately, God see's everything & no one will escape his justice. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed as each person stands before God so their soul can be judged fairly according to his unwavering unchanging sublime beautiful honorable amazing nature. Turbochargers are Exhaust Driven Air Pumps

Auto manufacturers are obsessed with 2L Turbo engines, now in more than 700 different cars. Did I mention that I am like Jalopnic, obsessed with technology & cars. Jalopnik | Obsessed With The Culture Of Cars

Make the engines smaller. Where 6.7L naturally aspirated engines once were, now we have 2.7L Turbo with direct injection from Ford. Where 4L engines were, the 2L turbo engine emerges. Toyota even turbo direct injected a 3 cylinder 1.6L in the GR Corolla for 300 HP out power, holly banana pants, that's amazing. 

2L inline 4-cylinder engine consider a darling in engineering with 500cc of swept area that the piston & rings slide up & down through. The goal of engine designers to get more power out of the fuel. In principle this would increase thermal efficiency, but they waste fuel to keep combustion temperature low & to play nice with the ECU & catalytic converter & exhaust emissions, but also by running slightly rich fuel air ratios that can prevent detonation or valve pinging at higher engine loads like when you're passing on the highway & shove the accelerated all the way down with your foot. 

By turbo charging, the naturally aspirated 2L goes from 160 HP to as much as 700 HP. Above 350 HP requires advanced dry sump lubrication, intercoolers, oil jets under the piston skirts, titanium valves, hydraulic valve variability control, variable ignition, & direct injection of gasoline with an addition set of port injectors to keep the valve seats clean and to maximize boosted performance fueling under full load or maximum output or full acceleration :) Using E85 with flex-fuel like ECU mapping variability control, power output can be further enhanced. Higher ethanol blends have much better performance because they are intrinsically higher octane, like a race fuel. 

There exists small hobby weak blend nitromethane fueled engines that make 3HP out of 27cc of displacement. Thats over 700HP per liter, like F1 engines. Nitro motors use 4X more fuel or are not fuel efficient for that amount of power. The 16% nitromethane + methanol & synthetic oil fuel is also not clean burning & releases and oily gummy mist in the exhaust. 

Top fuel dragsters pushrod V8 use 90 nitromethane & 10% methanol fuel. They can go 330 MPH within 1000 ft, less than 1/4 mile. The top fuel dragsters engines make 11,000 HP but are opened up & cleaned & checked after a few runs for safety. They are so high performance that these engines sometimes explode, so some parts of the engine are now strapped down with safety straps to keep shrapnel from an engine explosion from hurting anyone nearby. 

This is why virtually no power generators use small nitromethane engines. These little hobby car nitro motors are also 2 strokes so engine life only a few hundred hours max. A well-made Toyota 2JZ liquid cooled 4 stroke gasoline engine operates for 10,000+ hours by comparison, as long as the engine oil changed regularly & other basic maintenance performed. 

The 4.0L 1UZ engine in the 1989-1995 model year Lexus LS400 the most reliable engine ever made, though that means 10MPG city in the real world. Back then gasoline was less than $1/ gal in the USA. The 1NZ-FXE in the 04-09 Prius a 4 banger 1.5L of exceptional durability. The 2ZR-FX in Meg's 3rd Gen. Prius & my newer Corolla Hybrid are 1.8L of Atkinson exceptionally high thermal efficiency & very reliable. Toyota has a history of selling fuel efficient, long last, reliable engines, better than Honda, better than anyone else. 

Other than Toyota, most automobile transmissions are crap & wear out in less than 100,000 mi & cost $4000-$10000 to change, rather to pay a mechanic to change out the broken transmission. Some HD diesel trucks have long lasting Allison transmissions but get poor fuel economy. The diesel Bluebird School bus I drive gets 5.6 MPG using diesel in the variable gate Turbocharged Cummins inline 6 engine, typically used in class 8 trucks. It also weighs nearly 40,000 pounds. 

That means a 4000 lb. passenger car should get 10x better economy or 56 MPG if the power to efficiency & mass scaling was linear. VW did sell TDI vehicles that get over 50 MPG when driven gently. TDI stands for turbo-diesel injection. I really like the 1.9L 88 VW diesel TDI engine, and the TDI Jetta that it powered back in 2003. It was a strong contender on the list that included the 2nd Gen Prius which I ended up going with because it does not have a transmission. The HSD or hybrid synergy drive system in Toyota Hybrids is far more reliably that even the best manual transmissions.

The gasoline fueled 2023 Toyota Camry with the Dynamic Force Engine & 8-speed direct shift transmission is a wet dream of engineering. A reliable, trustworthy, crashworthy, awesome, well made, respectable sedan with good performance & good fuel economy that will last 20 or 30 years of daily use. These sterling reliability reputation Toyota vehicles are so well made that they are famous all over the world as being the most reliable & longest lasting vehicles available. 

I love the GR Yaris & GR Corolla & dream of owning one but resent the low fuel economy from the turbo 1.6L with 29 PSI of boost that makes 300 HP. That seems like a lot of engines stress & I know from studying the WRC & custom-made one-off factory world rally championship & group B rally cars that stuff breaks down on those vehicles all the time. 

Rally teams carry multiple sets of spare tires, spare suspension, engine wear items, all sorts of spare in trailers filled with spare parts. I am talking about supercharged & turbocharged small engines that make 500+ HP sent through a LSD on both axel superlative torque vectoring all wheel all the time drive systems. Now WRC requires Toyota Homologation, so they have to engage in serial production of the rally cars, thus the GR Yaris & GR Corolla are actually being sold to the public. 

Under 30 MPG a no go for me since it would be my daily driver, and I reset paying $45K for a GR Corolla out the door, then have to take it in the wallet at the gas station pump fueling it all the time. It would cost 2X or more to fuel than the Hybrid Corolla which is fast enough. That 2ZR-FXE & HSD shove the Corolla Hybrid down the highway at much faster than legal speeds easily. 

I don't care about peak acceleration in the real world, my work commute not a race anyways, and often low skill drivers abound along my route, people with more money for fancy cars than driving skills blocking my way with stop & go traffic congestion on the way home at night, so I don't want the 21 MPG city fuel economy in stop & go traffic, nor a manual transmission for commuting that would cycle wear my left knee hip & ankle with hundreds of stop start cycles daily. 

I am a cheapskate or tightwad or wisdom enhanced frugality focused science nerd and find energy efficiency entertaining. Going further with less fuel the reason we have taken Meg's 3rd Gen Toyota Prius on so many really long road trips throughout America during the summer. To put it this way, if we had take our 2.8L Audi A4 quattro on these same trips, it would have been 4X more expensive, in part because it requires premium fuel. 

That would take money from our food budget, our fun budget, reduce where we could visit, our housing budget for hotels. If we had to waste 22mpg fuel economy budget on fuel, it would make the entire trip worse, well thats true of my daily commute too. I only drive the Audi on Sunday to church & back, about 80 miles per week, and that costs $25 in fuel. What a gas hog, and it hogs the most expensive premium fuel. Back when my mother purchased this Audi in 2001, gasoline was just over $1 per gallon. That $1 dollar also had more buying power back then than it does now. 

I actually think that 44 mega joules of chemical energy in gasoline for $5 a gallon a really good deal. The problem with most gas-powered cars is that the greedy manufacturers use cheap low efficiency engine technology in order to maximize their profits per vehicle sold. So that means people who buy many vehicles get burned by poor reliability & poor fuel economy, forced to pay more per mile for each reason. This is why so many luxury vehicles depreciate rapidly. 

Get a Toyota or if you really want something fancy, a Lexus, since Lexus just a brand of Toyota. 

Luxury vehicles are expensive to buy, expensive to operate, expensive to fix, expensive to maintain, and lose capital value in depreciation faster, making them a poor man's choice, for rich men are tightwads or frugal and invest the money the save, so save your money & invest it into profitable investments, just like rich people do, on a smaller scale. 

Most of them started out small to. You know the guy who started Amazon.com was just a regular bookstore owner, who had a great e-commerce epiphany. Now Jeff B of Amazon one of the wealthiest people in the world. 

E-commerce serves a function by enabling people to buy things they can't even procure locally. Some people telling me about it, amazon, eBay, and Alibaba, describe it as "search online to fit it, click to order & it shows up like a magic trick", sometimes the same day, next day or just a few days later if you are like me & have an Amazon Prime subscription, and live within reasonable proximity to a slave life working conditions Amazon fulfillment center. 

I think in law & order some criminals should be ordered to work in a Amazon Fulfillment center, that doing so would teach them a lesson about how to be an accountable person with personal integrity, moral courage & ethical ideology. After all, is that not what most parents should be teaching their children anyway. In another way, we are all, as they say, God's Children, imperfect hypocrits, who makes mistakes, and fail, where no one has all the answers except God. 

CIGS Solar PV, Fuel Cell's & Hybrid Electric Turbo Fan: Battery Electric Passenger Aircraft

Hybrid electric fuel cell CIGS solar battery electric passenger aircraft, where the energy density, power density, temperate sensitivity, pressure sensitivity, cycle life, cell mass, pack mass, charge & discharge rates, calendar life, presents safety problems with lithium battery chemistry commercially available. 

Carbon fiber wrapped aluminum high pressure tanks with NH3, H2, DME, Propane, Butane, CNG, LNG, Methanol, Ethanol // there are many different fuel-cell electricity generating technologies that can work high uptime commercial aircraft application as the prime mover energy source.

Long life electrodes in fuel cells need to be made with iridium, platinum, titanium, carbon & exotic manufacturing techniques that are complicated & expensive like vacuum bag autoclave slow part making but worse in CVD & E-Beam processes & slow precise electroplating. 

The platinum content of the Toyota Mirai fuel cell stack for example exceeds the rare earth & noble metal use in automotive catalytic converters, which in OEM examples cost thousands each. Figuring out how to get the same long-life performance with less platinum required the use of advanced 8th generation electrically conductive ceramics with nano particles of platinum. 

Noble metal matrix electrodes made with zirconia ceramics, doped with rare earths like cerium and rare expensive metals rhodium, palladium, and platinum nano particles slurry coated in vacuum onto the ceramics, with silicon carbide emerging as one of the longest lasting, while even nano-diamond battery anodes exist, as do silicon nano-wire battery electrodes. 

There are exotic, expensive & really cool technologies that are made in low volume for aerospace applications, but mass producing affordable high-performance long-lasting versions of those technologies to make the world a better place requires significantly more innovation, investment & problem solving.

Lithium Sulfur & Lithium Air poised technologies for passenger electric aircraft, where the fuel cell stack electricity charges the batteries while also powering the electric turbine hybrid electric turbofan engines that can run on jet fuel for takeoff peak power performance, then switch to electric while cruising, when descending, and when coming in for a landing. 

There are many modes or ways the hybrid electric turbofan can act as a wind power generator to recharge the propulsion batteries. So the engine makers have to make a 400v or 800v or 1200v electric motor with mass reduction technology like the 88lbs Dark Energy motor from Koenigsegg, but as a thinner cylinder that can axil shaft mounted into the turbofan core to act as the starter, alternator, generator, boost, and prime mover, using electricity made from the Fuel Cell Stacks and energy storage battery packs. 

What about obese people with heavy luggage? Hybrid electric passenger aircraft will probably be used to flights less than 1500 NMI or nautical miles. Conventional advanced aircraft like Boeing 787 already use 60% less fuel. 

Top surfaces of passenger hybrid electric aircraft need CIGS Cadmium Indium Gallium Selenide solar PV epoxy bonded to the carbon fiber shell. This way any sunlight hitting the top surface of the aircraft create heat for deicing and PV energy to charge the batteries & power the hybrid turbofan motors to reduce jet fuel use further, lowering the operating costs even more than the added costs of integrating the strong durable long-lasting flexible CIGS technology that is typically used in Space Satellite power systems to make energy to charge the satellite batteries & power the satellite electronics, radios & other equipment to keep the parts super cold or super warm. 

No throwing out Jet Fuel, but we can make renewable jet fuel with biofuel technology, GTL fuel or synthetic fuel from coal gasification, biogas, and natural gas, cheaply at industrial quantities using well establishing high volume petrochemical processing technologies already and long ago widely available and highly refined.

Say it with me, Shell GTL fuels, syngas, synfuels, made with the Fischer Tropsch reactions developed to give Germany war time fuel during WWII, since Germany did not have abundant crude oil or petroleum resources to mine or pump out of the ground. 

Synthetic fuels are already available, and have superior chemical purity, are cleaner burning, have longer shelf life, have more energy, make engines last longer, make engine oil life last longer, are more like propane or natural gas in terms of combustion cleanliness, with a clean blue flame like ethanol that does not coke the valve seats with carbon deposits like conventional unleaded gasoline made from crude oil, especially in GDI engines or gasoline engine with direct injection & often also turbocharged, where an additional intake injector port utilized for valve seat washing port fuel injection that sprays pulses of fresh gasoline that flush & keep the valve seats clean, so the valves can close all the way to maintain good compression. 

Synthetic fuels cost more to make than conventional fuels & only sell well in markets where gasoline or petrol sells for more than $2 per liter or $8/ gal. In the future when crude oil resources have been widely depleted, coal, biomass, and natural gas will be made using GTL technology into liquid transportation fuels of many kinds & grades & specifications. 

The coolest part about synthetic gasoline is that when stored in airtight plastic bottles the shelf life more than 10 years like diesel fuel. Today common E10 gasoline starts to foul or oxidize forming strings of waxy alkane threads, fuel oxidation end products that must be filtered out of gasoline, especially if it is to be used in small engines with carburetors. 

Foul gas will clog a carburetor easily with varnish deposits of the same chemicals that make the alkane waxy threads. Moreover, the E10 contains hygroscopic ethanol that attracts water into the fuel, and water in the fuel can cause rusting or corrosion of the jet nozzle in carburetors & even the injector valves in fuel injection and can damage the fuel pump in the sealed pressurized vehicle gasoline or petrol tank. This is why I put red colored Fuel Stabilizer in my gas cans & only fill them with E0 or ethanol free gasoline. 

We will have hundreds of years of transportation fuels to refuel all the antique vehicles that run on gasoline being made & sold today, and from the past, and in the future. There is no way that BEV or battery electric vehicles will ever achieve 100% market share in all countries worldwide. Gasoline in one form or another will be around until our grandchildren's grandchildren are old & wise. 




How Much Will it Take to Replace Millions of Gasoline Stations with Public DC Level 3 Fast Chargers

Add 10 gallons gasoline into automobile in a few minutes.

In a 10 MPG sports car (1200hp)) that is 100 miles of fuel range

In a 50 MPG hybrid Toyota that's 500 miles of fuel range

Adding the same amount of charge to an electric car battery takes at least 4X longer.

When the average car owner spends 4 hours per year fueling their car at a gas station, the EV owner will spend at least 16 hours fiddling with charging at public L3 charging stations to get the same amount of range, to drive at least 10,500 miles per year. 

Maybe a L4 DC 1,000,000 watt or 1 Mega Watt or 1MW public charger can make a 10 minute charge add similar amounts of range to a 100-300kWh battery pack electric vehicle that can take 800 volts. 

Consider that 1MW charging stations are not a commercial practical feasible EV charging station yet. The Tesla Supercharges at 350kW are the fastest highest current L3 public charging stations widely available.

Sometimes the L3 much less like the Nissan L3 that peaks at 50kW but throttles down to 9kw or less at the battery approaches full in the LEAF (Leaf starts at $28,895) or ARIYA (Nissan Ariya starts at $43,190)

Tesla Model 3 (MSRP: $40,240 - $53,240) & Model Y (MSRP: $47,740 - $54,490) are the big sellers or the higher volume sales BEV's made in California by Telsa Motors. 

Electric Jesus Elon Musk makes bold claims about the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck with claimed 300mi of range, though less if you turn the HVAC on full and or do that while going up & over a mountain pass to go skiing, snowboarding, hiking or climbing, especially if you take 3 other adults & a bunch of gear with you. 

There exists no magic bullet to make EV batteries 10x better. Moreover, its iterative improvements with chemical tweaks about every 8 months, and major battery new chemistry breakthroughs every 20 years. 

Also, what's possible to do with gold & titanium foil pressurized inside beryllium alloy case satellite batteries that have 20kWh of storage but have to survive oven hot to cryogenic cold operating conditions for 20 years orbiting the Earth in the extremes of lower Earth Orbit; such satellite batteries cost $50k or more, but that makes no difference on a $100 million satellite budget. 

In an EV a $50K battery means the resulting car like a Lucid Air or some $100K + Rivian SUV or Electric Hummer / yeah, a few well healed buyers who already have a 240vac L2 charger at home in their 3 car garage micro-mansion in America, they can get the latest greatest BEV & charge it during the day as they work from home on their laptop computers, while their 40kW rooftop solar PV system of PERC N-Type monocrystalline solar panels, robust N-1 micro-inverters, and whole home 100kWh battery backup UPS solutions L2 chargers their latest BEV. 

We do not live in a world where everyone can get a Lucid Air. It's not even possible using fossil fuels to make that many EV, let along all the copper, lithium & other materials. We are not industrial enough to make billions of long-range luxury EV's. Our energy technology not abundant enough. 

We would need broadly applied nuclear fusion reactors by the thousands to have enough electricity to industrialize more than we have with crude oil-based fuels & giga scale refineries that turn the oil into gasoline, diesel, kerosine, jet fuel, propane, butane & more. 

Natural gas compressed or liquified even used to fuel rocket engines along with cryogenic liquid oxygen. Carbon & hydrocarbon fuels have very high energy density that will not be equaled by batteries for many decades or possibly longer. 

Think of the amount of building & infrastructure & increasing demand for electricity production that millions of L3 DC fast charging stations would require. A system of EV charging that can supplant gasoline stations, almost unimaginable, not practical, not feasible, probably not even affordable if you leveraged debt spending, and all world military budgets, or even the entire global economy to pay for it.

Pipe dreams of EV only future is exactly that, dreams, not reality, not now, not in 10 years, not in 20 years, I will be very old or dead by the time that gas stations are phased out, I am chronologically 40.15 years old as of writing this now in November of 2023. 

You are Not Me / I am vehicle crazy, with more tires that require air pressure Maintenace. I drive 12,000 mi per year to commute & go on road trips. I live in urban sprawl America & waste energy like an American but have been trying EV's and electric vehicle toys for a while now. Nissan LEAF just did not have enough mountain climbing highway speed range to work for me much of the time. I tried 3 different Nissan LEAF, each with larger batteries, 24,30, and 40kWh respectively. 

Based on these bad Nissan LEAF low battery range anxiety experiences, I believe and have evidence to suggest that an EV needs at least 100kWh of battery to be feasible to replace a hybrid or gasoline powered vehicle, and moreover if you want road trips, and worst-case winter driving up mountain pass range like a hybrid, the EV needs 400kWh of battery.
