MEMS microphones & multiple sound input arrays from microphone clusters give digital devices spatial audio imaging that helps devices like the Amazon Echo lineup to engages users with a voice based interactive digital assistant NLP audio input output natural speech interface by leveraging elastic cloud computing on Amazon.com S3 service backbone infrastructure to do the heavy compute on clusters of servers such that your Echo Dot or similar end user device like a thin network client that uploads audio input voice queries when you say the wake word "Alexa" or "Hey Alexa" which then triggers a high resolution sound capture using a ring shaped array of microelectromechanical microphones to resolve your voice input with better signal to noise ratio so that the AI interface can make intelligible sense of your voice data while encoding it into compressed bit streams for rapid upload where the cloud computer decodes what was said into text using speech to text technology, then performs a internet query using the automatically generated text from voice input data, then downloads the search results into bit streams to the end user devices so that the DAC can convert the downloaded bitstream into analog articulation of the Dot's speaker or speakers depending on model. 

A sound amplifier circuit takes low intensity electrical signals from microphones for example and increases their power, in the dot this utilized to resolve distance voice inputs where the background noises in the room where the dot located may have similar signal intensity as the low volume voice search input request given to "Alexa" the personal digital assistant. 

Digital to Analog or DAC circuits and Analog to Digital or ADC circuits are embedded into an SOC or system on a chip package, typically an ARM architecture chip containing the CPU, Memory, networking & other aspects of the wireless WIFI Echo Dot node or thin client voice interface. Navigation systems when used like this can reduce traffic congestion, vehicle emissions, improve transportation energy conservation even with electric vehicles, along with numerous other benefits like dynamic rerouting around unforeseeable emergent traffic accidents or sudden road closures along a route. Google Maps has real time traffic & other features and functions that are flat out astonishing to happen on a battery operating phone computer over 4G LTE or 5G NR wireless networks serving up bidirectional data wireless signal transceiver action with bitrate so fast it makes my contemporary digital HAM radio gear seem antiquated. 

We live in Amazing times if you stop & reflect on the state of technology in real world applications today, in middle 2022. Consider the rate at which COVID19 vaccines were developed & commercialized as historically unmatched or record breaking speed to market.

I recently took our DJI Mavic Mini 2 out of storage, charged the remote & drone battery & connected my iPhone as the display App interface to remote, then performed photography & video capture using the camera "panoramic" capture image stitching and Quick Shot "Rocket Mode video capture functions.
