Most of Europes fossil energy, especially naturally gas, imported from Russian pipelines, funneling vast streams of cash back into the Russian economy. The sanctions placed on Russian for invading the Ukraine are accelerating decarbonization programs across Europe & helping the whole world to reconsider our insane carbon burning practices!
The Russian economy highly dependent on exporting natural gas, crude oil, gasoline & diesel, to China & Europe. In Europe a combination of socialist socially accountable taxes on energy & fuel make the retail prices of gasoline & diesel at least 2x or 3x higher than in America, where people are complaining about $5/ gallon gas when British people around London have been paying more than $10/ gallon once you do the US gallon to liter to GBP to dollar conversion // In Germany $8USD/ US Gal. equivalent common - many German's convert their passenger cars to run on propane which is 1/2 the price of gasoline locally.
We are talking about broad replacement of natural gas with electric heat pumps, made in Japan or China. We are talking about Battery Electric Vehicles replacing the use of gasoline or diesel powered vehicles. We are talking about electric bicycles, scooters & motorcycles - we are talking about electric vehicles of all scale, from electric kick scooters to electric mining vehicles & electric semi-trucks Class 8 container hauling trucks that move the goods around, moving the clothing & food & electronics & other stuff that people need & want, without burning fossil fuels & editing air pollutants that make climate change worse! We need clean abundant nuclear fission reactors that breed nuclear fuels & convert spent nuclear waste from old reactors into new fuel, repeatedly, nearly endlessly with automated reprocessing & energetic element recovery, fertile to fissile conversion of thorium & more! Russia is dooming itself & helping the rest of the world move away from carbon combustion even faster!
My heart & prayers & hopes of healing & recovery & restoration & rebuilding - extend to my brothers & sisters in the Ukraine. I stand aligned with the Ukraine & against the Russian Government! I denounce Russia & its Government as evil & illegitimate & in desperate need of immediate democratic ethical & moral reforms.
There are individual billionaires with money money than the entire country of Russia, including all of its oil & gas sectors. This is known as radical income inequality & its been increasingly progressively for 20+ years! I am not just talking about inflation due to quantum easing or increasing the supply of fiat currencies like the Euro or USD, I am talking about merger & acquisition & mega conglomerates like Amazon & that goofy looking narcissistic weirdo Jeff who derives the greatest fiscal benefit from all of Amazon.com's sales. I am talking about the Elite income earners who possess the vast wealth of nations as individuals. Think Monopoly, sector control of multiple different aspects of the world economy. A few players in big Pharma, big agrochemical, big crude oil, big alcohol, big tobacco, electronics & software, real estate holdings & insurance companies - people who own the keys to the economic kingdoms of the world, who operate transnationally as billionaires who triple shell their wealth to avoid taxation like Gaston Glock, the inventor & founder of Glock GMBH the maker of the finest handguns on Earth - radically excessive wealth so vast that no sale person could spent it all in a lifetime without really trying earnestly or going on repeated whacko- Michael Jackson style spending spree's building private theme parks or something like a moon base station like Amazon's chrome domed founder!
Energy is real wealth. Without energy, nothing can happen! There is not free lunch in physics! Time, energy, money, materials, intelligence, value - they are all interchangeable. Even ordinary matter made of energy. Consider how light photons interact with the atomic valence shell electrons of chemical substances that comprise everything material, liquid, solid & gas phases, to produce different colors, the result of quantum phenomena that govern the way light photons or gauge bosons interact with atomic orbital shell electrons in the atoms of chemical substances, the stuff we are made of as people - a human is made of 126 different chemical elements - each with a specific number of protons- the isotopes of which are radioactive, have different quantities of neutrons. The electron count of each atom matches the proton count of the atomic core so the charges in the atom balance. Chemistry is physics when you get into it far enough.
Its atomic physics & the quantum properties that determine how chemical reactions happen & the energy & electron exchange in chemical reactions - very important in understanding why burning carbon produces air pollutants that cause climate change which is bad for human health due to air pollution emitted by really bad because of acid rain & how it impacts weather patterns by making storms more irregular & more powerful & by changing climate energy balance such that weather becomes more unstable & more unpredictable, producing more hazards & disasters like flooding & drought, super cold & record breaking hot streaks -- as we keep burning carbon by the terawatt energy level worldwide because its cheap. Coal is earth that burns & its nearly everywhere near the surface of Earth's crust. Billions of tons of coal, natural gas, crude oil & other forms of hydrate methane ice mixes at the bottom of the Earth's oceans. We have enough carbon to burn to blacken the atmosphere & super heat the biosphere of Earth with thick pea soup style air pollution that many people in China have had to breath because of the pervasive & increasing use of coal electrical power plants & the prodigious amounts of local air pollution created by coal power, soot, ash & smoke that fouls the local air, irritating the lungs & bronchial networks of millions of Chinese people daily!
The real problem with combustion, the toxic air pollutants released- the inequality or externality of air pollution energy. Sure, cars are freedom, but not when you have to sell your economy to import the oil! Not all nations are rich with recoverable crude oil resources that are feasible to develop. We do not want to give all people on Earth a 10kw life by burning more carbon to make it happen- think of how that would make climate change worse + we would burn up all that oil that could be better used in petrochemicals & other higher value applications like making PAN to make carbon fiber. We need the oil for high performance polymers & lubricants & in agriculture & to make cheap explosives for mining & development. We need to save the crude oil resources as they are rich feedstock of chemicals of many kinds- turning all the worlds crude into gasoline & diesel- senseless. We live in an age where we can build the James Web Space Telescope - where you can wear a super computer on your wrist that runs on a small LIPO battery & can make & take phone calls over LTE // Apple Watch Series 7 Cellular // when electric cars like the Tesla Model Y are sold worldwide_ a world where high speed internet connecting minds in more ways faster, so that you can read my blog for example.
Its never been more exciting to be alive, but that did not make a perfect life for everyone, did it! You know that the problems in the world come down to problems with each person, with each persons mind. We are all flawed hypocrite sinners in desperate need of salvation & redemption & renewal of our mind & soul & spirit in the Holy Name of Christ Jesus, through the Power of the Holy Spirit in the Name of our Father God, creator of all & the most amazing beautiful & intelligent being in all of existence. All shall bow their knee before the Lord our God & shall come to judgement this way - no one can escaper death & God' knows everything about everyone, constantly, everywhere, at the same time. God has an unequaled, unmatched, beyond comparison ability to comprehend everything about everything simultaneously. God has all the answers & knows it all. God is all power & every present, everywhere, in every dimension at the same time. The one & only God that we worship & glorify in the Holy Name of Christ Jesus wants a relationship with you & I pray for you brothers & sisters that God will connect with you in your dreams & become real to you so that you will develop a relationship with God & inheret his unmerited favor & forgiveness - so that you can be come free, spiritually elevated & stop continually sinning & doing the wrong things & making bad choices. I know that I am an imperfect flawed partial biased incomplete work in progress that God is remaking every day as I read from the New Testament of the Amplified Christian Bible. Even without Russian oil & gas the rest of the world will get on just fine. The Ukraine will win & we will all help to rebuilt the Ukraine. We will keep china out of Taiwan & Japan & they will end up winning too. The good guys always end up winning overall. The truth sets itself free. The better ways become self evident to everyone as time goes on. A free democracy, taxed controlled & regulated- seems to be the best system ever developed & that makes America special & worth defending- just like life itself. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Thats why we have a moral & ethical obligation to teach them about decarbonization, renewables & nuclear & energy storage, electric vehicles, recycling, reducing, reusing, fixing, repairing, up cycling, remaking, customizing - being frugal & kind & loving & teaching them to help other people at all times.
