Bob Burg & John David Mann wrote this national best seller & one of the best works of literature ever published on the spirit & idea of giving that touches other people's lives, not a fairy tale or fable or parable or pipe- dream. This writing from a genius team of people with exceptional social intelligence who seek to encourage others to develop similar social cohesion generating wisdom & understanding.
Right up there with C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity", this book transformed my thinking more than anything else in life other than the love I share with my wife Meg. Similarly, the books "The Brain that Changes Itself" by Dr. Norman Diodge & "The Lever of Riches" by Professor Joel Mokyr were instrumental at advancing my positive perspectives about healing of the brain & the application of emergent technologies to improve life for everyone's benefit.To explain why I am a Christian even though I am also a scientist, take the example of the Golden Rule that Jesus Christ emphasized that his followers to be applied to ALL people at ALL times. Treat your neighbor as yourself & forgive other people of their trespasses against you. When wronged directly, turn the other cheek & walk away & forgive the wrong doer of the wrong they committed against you! Forgiveness about letting go of the past & moving on so that unforgiveness does not hurt you the victim of the wrongdoing.
In my beautiful intelligent creative wife Meg's words, "Holding unforgiveness about someone who has wronged you, is like holding a burning lump of coal that they ignited, but you are the one who continues getting burned" & forgiveness in this context "letting go of that coal" & moving on, happier & healing! Unforgiveness along with other negative thinking, stinky or toxic thinking, produces diseases of the mind & body by causing hormonal axis dysfunction, cytokine signaling imbalances or dysfunction & promote the formation of cancer cells out of control, autoimmunity where the body starts attacking its own cells & other diseases like heart disease & diabetes, by causing behavioral changes like food abuse & alcohol abuse & drug abuse that have long term negative health impacts.

Money is just an abstract form of energy as a fourth order derivative; to understand this just have to study the science & history of monetary systems, economics, how net energy return on investments in energy generating technology work as ROI, what fungible currencies are, what fiat currencies work, the concept of high or low liquidity of an asset or currency & other interdisciplinary topics that are complex & vast & probably beyond the scope of widely known vernacular or common knowledge of the average human person alive today. More the domain of intellectuals that read a lot, something I aspired towards in order to edify & inform myself, to gain insight & understand & to expand the scope of character virtues, honor, kindness & ability to show love to other people in a genuine sincere way even if I do not at first approach feel like it. To do this you have to step back inside your own mind & watch yourself interacting with others, examine your thinking & thoughts & reflect on how you process information & what biases you have & how to overcome them to be more openminded & objective & skeptical while also generous, kind & benevolent & loving towards other people.
Hindering yourself with threads of selfishness & arrogance & narcissism reflective of celebrities turned president of the United State of America recently * in the near-term past & other jerks & whacked out psychopaths & sociopaths that harm & hurt & kill other people indiscriminately as longs as its the means to their ends of making more profit every quarter // with phrase echoed that even I often repeat
"There is no free lunch in physics, money does not grow on trees, there is no rest for the wicked, you have to go get it to make it real & focus on personal development & becoming the highest functioning version of yourself so that you might someday be able to help others in a much bigger way that you can today" & other ideas contrary to the benevolence & generosity & concession of ones time to help other people & a love based desire to celebrate others victories & to want in diffused way to see all other people thriving more, more intelligence, less crime & corruption, more clean vehicles & clean electricity made abundant by investment now into decarbonization, energy storage & broad development of renewables like rooftop solar energy systems & rooftop solar water heating systems & energy efficient HVAC heat pumps & LED motion sensing lighting & Dark Skys approves lamps & fixtures that focus the light where it useful & never emits light towards the sky where it would create light pollution to the benefit of no one & to the detriment of all people.
Giving people change the world for the better. Being an authentic person & deliberately enhancing your thinking with social intelligence, morality of loving other people & the ethics of treating other people with kindness & respect; this is how you develop a stronger character that other people find likeable. It's not about you, it's about how you interact with other people.
You're not everyone & you know deep down that all people on Earth are indirectly dependent on each other & nature & that all people alive are in this life on Earth together as one human people, responsible to be good stewards of nature & to treat animals & ecosystems with the same care & love we show to ourselves & people we know well & love & that we are to extend this social love to wish well for other people & find victory & revel in their successes even when you or I are failing.
You need to learn to be inspired by other people success & apply those principle of developing a larger circle of influence by giving more instead of always taking & consuming. It's called giving back to others since you owe your life & job & income to the thinking & work of other people now & those who came before you, some who fought & died to protect your freedom & human rights in America or Europe or other developed civilized parts of the world where human rights are observed by government. Human & animal & environmental rights & protections are important to develop worldwide in all countries so that we can make life better in all ways for ALL people now & in the future!
Children are the future & we have to teach these important ideas to them too, so that they can be natural leaders in their spheres of influence, on social media, in first person, at school & at work! Working together more, humans on Earth can overcome Climate Change & other major problems. If we continue with war & fighting against ourselves & engaging in carbon combustion for energy, then we will doom the biosphere of Earth to become a toxic wasteland that no one will want to live in!
Try thinking "outside of yourself" about how you can make a positive difference for someone else, to raise up or edify or encourage or help someone else who is obviously struggling more than you! It's easy to be a selfish self-centered person, the challenge is to break out of your shell & inward ignorant thinking alone to having more beautiful dynamic & higher-minded thoughts & thinking about how to be a giver & giving to others anyway you can think of to make a positive difference in their lives.
If you have a society of "givers' then the role & need of government will decline, government would t then become smaller, smarter, more efficient & more effective at taxing, controlling & regulating the economy & businesses. This would furthermore reduce crime & corruption & other counterproductive social patterns & dysfunction that acts like a global boat anchor holding everyone back from achieving a better civilization that's more like a utopia & less like a capitalism plutocracy of social division, war, poverty & income equality like it is today- so unfair & unjust to so many people, animals in nature & polluted degraded ecosystems that humanity treats like toxic waste dump with trashing of landscapes & bodies of water, putting trash in the ocean & worse like space trash & air pollution that indiscriminately sickens people all around the world with preventable suffering, sickness, diseases, disorders & premature death.
Most air pollution from burning carbon & to address both climate change & air pollution & acid rain problems, we need to move to more renewable & energy storage, nuclear fission breeder reactors with 96% fuel economy, improved neutron economy (4th Gen.), over parity (IFR) (renewable) fuel cycles (fuel breeding of fertile to fissile elements) & 99% less nuclear waste that is also tight, compact, controlled well & with short half-lives so that it become non-toxic faster, forming stable isotopes of elements more quickly. We need to make energy abundance & cheaper electricity with commercial nuclear fusion & then declassify ZPE technology & give everyone the Tony Stark chest mountable 5KW continual arc quantum fusion power generator technology!
