We can't get where we want to go with computers with binary processing alone, we need high performance burst processing offered by Quantum computers in certain special applications.


I was researching C++ & Python programming languages & software development after playing with John Conway's Game of Life & playing with mathematically inspired simple asymmetrical input patterns that bloom into wildly complex emergent patterns, similar to the way that DNA gives rise to life in all of its complexity & forms. Strings of 1 & 0 may be able to represent everything possible as Claud Shannon & Alan Turing proved, but this creates a big data explosion with online images & video that are energetically expensive for servers to host, just like bitcoin mining. Quantum computing may easy big data processing problems in certain specific use cases but will not replace Von Neumann style digital computing in most applications. 

Consider the tight memory management that code written in C++ enables such that small battery powered wearables like Apple Watch & Fitbit & Android Wear devices with a 3.7v 100-450mah battery powers for 1 to 7 days, longer in the case of some fitness nav trackers by Garmin or Suunto smartwatches. With limited RAM memory & tight space on the SOC NAND FLASH storage & very limited energy from the battery, efficiently coded tight small software makes the apps run faster with less power & makes the OS run much more fluidly on limited hardware with very low TDP associated with the tiny lithium ion batteries that are often inductively charged with QI like docks or adapters. Meg & I have enjoyed several generations of Apple Watch, of which Meg rocks my old 5th Gen unit & I am wearing the current SE. 

Python cool because it can enable AI to run on tight resources if the SOC stack optimized with neural cores, something Apple cooking into clever chips inside the latest iPhones. Neuromorphic processes enable novel image processing, novel DSP, novel analytics & UI behavioral prediction that can further reduce resources used to enhance battery life further, tricks Apple utilizes in the latest IOS versions on the latest iPhones, made by TSMC & Foxconn to Apple's specification as the largest customer of both companies from Taiwan that operate factories & fabs in mainland China. Designed in California, made in China, like so many things today. 

I find it interesting that top title movie director Christopher Nolan does not even have a smartphone. I stopped using my smartphone iPhone SE2, obsessively, when I learned of Text Neck & poor posture from smartphone use like looking at your shoes. It is easy to damage the cervical vertebrae in the neck because the skull a fluid filled brain container that weighs about 11 lbs or 4.5 kg // on top of a small column of neck vertebrae, able to produce disc compression or damage if the head is tilted forward too much for too long or too often.

A special back brace, cyclobenzaprine, time off & PT of physical therapy helped me recover. Posture important to prevent skeletal & muscle injuries from desk work in an office while sitting to the most physically demanding work known to mankind. Very important to have good posture to protect your neck & back as you get older. Do not sit too much & consider a standing desk. 

You have legs to move & movement is life! Not all about fitness or being a gym person, just walking & getting enough movement for your mental & physical health. Work up a good sweat sometimes & make sure it causes you to breath hard, that way you will know your in the zone. A fitness tracker can help you make sense of the movement data & let you know if you are getting enough healthy activity to stave off declines from aging processes that are still debated or mysterious in terms of cause, even though everyone gets older, everyone suffers the effects of again, physically & mentally, to some extent, YMMV or your mileage may vary. Everyone has a different genome & body & some people die of cancer as young children. Some people smoke & drink & live to old age. 

YouTube, NetFlix, Vudo, there are a lot of video streaming options, including Amazon Prime Video, & that creates huge data streams that require high speed internet to access.

I am typing up this blog posting on my TUF Gaming laptop that was only $1000 (from 2020) that plays CS:GO at full graphics settings with buttery smooth performance via STEAM.
