I have really enjoyed my Apple products over the years. Started with an iPod nano back then. Every single one had a 1/8 inch stereo headphone back until my iPhone SE 2020. EarPods turn into e-waste when the batteries fail, no thanks!
Greedy people at Apple decided they wanted to sell overpriced wireless ear-pods with sealed failure prone LIPO batteries that stop holding a charge in a few years, so they deliberately removed the headphone jack from newer iPhones.

Sep 14, 2021 a new Apple event to announce more innovative tech without a headphone jack. The stupid Apple wireless EarPods have sealed lithium ion batteries that fade & fail rendering the entire kit e-waste in just a few years. I have ear-bud style headphones of several kinds that are probably 10+ years old that I still use with my OG 2017 iPhone SE, one of the last phones that shipped with a headphone jack. The lightning headphones that shipped with my iPhone SE 2020 make the phone freeze when I try to use them. Screw YOU APPLE
Headphone Jack Cool & Special
Apple's design choice to remove the headphone jack had nothing to do with moving forward, it was just another way to try to force iPhone users into buying those stupid overpriced wireless ear-buds or the stupid adapter dongle. I hate consumer electronics with sealed non-replaceable batteries that must be destroyed to replace the batteries, making a pile of hard to recycle e-waste quickly, & nearly everyone knows LIPO batteries fade badly in just a few years, especially if regularly fully charged.

Designed Obsolescence : E-waste & Exporting Harm
I am angry at these companies for designing popular consumer electronics made of complex rare materials that are hard to recycle correctly, that fail quickly, break easily & making them hard to replace or repair. Apple is particularly insidious when it comes to 3rd party device repair ethics. Apple claims to be all green & eco-friendly, bull, they just want the money & everyone knows it. Capitalist pigs run by a narcissistic jerks who just wants to maximize profits above all else .. no matter who it harms or hurts ..
Frustrating User Experiences
If this seems like my most angry blog posting ever, it is. I thought about this for years & last night found my favorite corded ear-buds, then looked at my smartphone & felt shame knowing that I cannot plug them into my current iPhone. Now, I even own the adapted from lightning to headphone jack, its Apples most popular $20 accessory by a large sales margin. Everyone who wants to use the headphones they already have with their iPhone has to buy a collection of these dongles so the 1/8 stereo jack can plug into the lightning port.
TYPE-C Port in iPhone ?
Hey Apple, where is USB C ? Another problem with iPhones is that Apple for some unknown cockeyed fucking stupid ass reason keeps using lighting docks on iPhones even though they switched to USB C on MacBooks a few years ago.

Chinese Fake Progress
They build shoddy low quality buildings in China too, wealthy expatriated Americans living in expensive condos or apartments in China have YouTube videos documenting this. In China is all about appearance or face, fake vain progress & fake cities & fake materialistic focus. The coolest part about the CCP in the PRC, it can make infrastructure happen faster than any other government on Earth * thats my only compliment - they are brutally efficient & effective // but at a cost of life & toxic pollution to Earths air, water & soil environments, oceans & mountains, the pollution knowns no borders & we breathe it in the rest of the world too, especially that noxious toxic funk emitted from BaoTou rare earth mining in northern China.
Cutting Corners in China
Apple has to be up in China for QA;QC control over at Foxconn too, the Chinese have a propensity to cost optimize to an extreme of cutting corners & reducing quality so Apple has staff constantly working in China at the manufacturing plants to make sure the Apple products are getting the best quality boards & components & high precision milling & assembly & manufacturing excellence. Apple gear really well made & holds up well for a long time if you are gentle not to break the glass & get water inside // where a little white sticker with red x's will turn pink & tattle on you if water ever gets inside :P
Recycling iPhones with Robots
Daisy the robot to recycle iPhones & Liam its predecessor are nice tries but a far cry from making that volume of e-waste eco-friendly or actually separating all the elements from the iPhone back into their pure chemical forms to make new high quality products // admittedly an energetically entropy challenging physical chemical processing problem lacking feasibility without subsidies yet, that no one has been able to effectively solve despite nation state investments into this arena by the German Government & Academia // we will get there & must design & make products in ways that make them easier to feasibly recycle completely back to useable clean elemental chemical forms for further future product input streams manufacturing closed loop eco-friendly clean technology innovation & future development :)
