NH-U9S Cooler Installed to Intel I5 9400F CPU in Random X Mining Rig

A photo collection of installing the NH-U9S Noctua CPU cooler on the Intel I5 9400F in our gaming desktop turned into a random x mining rig :) Lots of photos ^^

NH-U9S Installed & Ready to Rock

Thats it, it works, now the CPU stays cooler all the time & the airflow in the RIG improved with new cable routing. I dusted & cleaned the RIG to help keep the components cool & happy. A big 12 inch cooling fan blows air into the left side of the rig & helps to push enough air through the RIG to keep all the parts cooler.

I even hang a fan over the HX850i PSU since its OEM internal fan does not even turn on at the loads I have applied, & it does help, you can put your hand over the rear of the PSU & feel a light warm stream of air existing, pushed in by that white fan on held on by a wire tie to the right side of the rig / & keeping the PSU even cooler make it last longer too!

The whole rig weights about 1 lb more now because that big fat heatsink & nickel plated copper heat pipes & core of the NH-U9S full of high thermal conductivity metals to suck heat away from the CPU & let that exceptional Noctua fan force air past the heatsink fins so the moving air can take the heat away & dump it into the room // making our random X mining rig space heater even better!
