Wi-Fi Explored

Online research of transparent technologies many people use every day, here I do a brief exploration of WiFi, a technology that began back in 1997 because of CISERO research done by scientists in Australia to find tiny black holes. Click read more to dig deeper!

There are many kinds of wifi base on UHF radio 2.4GHz(frequency)  or 12cm (wavelength)  or 5GHz 6cm, base on open band components of the radio spectrum released for unliscenced used by the FCC, the same 2.4GHz band is using in a microwave oven to add vibrational heat to the food molecules, specifically vibrating water molecules in the food. Your microwave oven is between 600w and 1200w in most cases, your WiFi network is 0.05W or 50mW, 50 thousands of 1 watt, very low energy. So Wifi is a weak microwave data network.

Many businesses offer free wifi to their customers, so that people with smartphones, tablets and laptops can access the web (internet) over the businesses wifi network when they are patrons of the business. Often the network is highly localized so that you can only access the network if you are within about 150ft of the wi-fi router system.

B speed wifi- was the most common early iteration adopted by consumers at a mass market scale. G speed coming later, then N speed and finally AC & AD of now.

I operate a B,G,N network at home with 3 routers, using both 2.4GHz and 5GHz encrypted WiFi channels, 6cm and 12cm respectively. I place these routers high up 10ft off the ground over an entry closet to give them good spectral signal strength coverage of both upstairs and downstairs and it works great. Many people mistakenly only put their Cable Modern/ DSL router wifi appliance combo near the ground, and that gives poor coverage for the wireless networks to access your TV, game consoles, streaming boxes, tablets, desktops, laptops, cell phones, nest cameras, or anything else that connects to the internet like a smart fridge or any IOT (internet of things) devices!

Your Wifi works when a computerized router creates a 2 way radio data network between the router and your device, using a digitally modulated analog waveform wireless signal, the same kind that enables a radio to pick up radio stations in the one way streaming of AM and FM radio. So you device with wifi and the wifi router are both radio receivers and transmitters operating in the wifi-spectrum using wifi protocols for packeting of data, encryption, and modulation of the signal over different bands.

LTE is very much like wifi, but operating using a much more sophisticated higher power network, one that goes up to about 3 watts, 60X more powerful that home wifi, it enables your phone to connect over LTE to a tower up to about 1 mile away. This means that a given tower may serve thousands of users within that one mile circle around the tower. Your notice if you look at a cell phone tower how they have many antenna (curved white vertical oriented rectangle blocks) with huge gauge thick RF cables plugged into the bottom, hooked up to beefy RF equipment boxes the size fridges, located in a secured fenced off area at the base of the tower. I believe these towers can produce up to 50,000w of output over many 2 way channel bands, and with LTE the data is fast, often faster data access than a DSL home internet setup. There are warning signs about health safety near the based because that much RF is not good for you!

Bluetooth is a low energy wireless data protocol that works just like wifi, but with slower data speeds, lower RF power, and shorter range abilities. Wifi is more powerful and longer range by comparison. On a cell phone you can hook up a low energy Bluetooth device into your ear, then place you phone on a dash mount, plugged in to recharge it, and by getting the phone away from you body the phone can get a cleaner stronger signal to the LTE tower, while your Bluetooth ear piece only has to connect a few feet to your phone, exposing you to a lower absorbed RF level, especially for CW wave voice calls! Voice calls expose your body to more RF per minute that average LTE use. LTE is going to pulse all the time as your phone exchanges data with cell networks, keep the phone away from your testicles, ovaries, brain, and lymph nodes. Tricky!

Learn about the dangers of long term exposure to RF, its not good! RF is a mutagen, it causes DNA damage, and that gives rise to cancer. I am not saying that using your wifi, bluetooth or LTE will cause cancer, I am saying that you should educated yourself about what RF is, how it works, what it does to the body. Using these devices is a trade off, you get high speed wireless internet with a small exposure to RF. Cordless indoor phones, same idea, RF.
