Positive Emotions Heal Diseases

You absolutely have the power to focus on the positive aspects of any situation or event. Negative emotions are deadly and have been scientifically linked to a range of preventable diseases. Lets take a short look at what disease negative emotions cause so we have a good reason to choose to focus on the positives in life.

Dr. Don Colbert wrote a book called "Deadly Emotions"

"Understanding the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection That Can Heal or Destroy You"

Anger and Hostility: Hypertension & Coronary Artery Disease

Resentment, Bitterness, Unforgiveness, and Self-Hatred: Autoimmune Disorders, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupos, and Multiple Sclerosis

Anxiety: Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Panic Attacks, Mitral Valve Prolapse and Heart Palpitations

Repressed Anger: Tension and Migrane Headaches, Chronic Back Pain, TMJ and Fibromyalgia

"Destructive emotions have toxic effects on the body and result in a wide range of serious illnesses-- hypertension, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, irritable bowel syndrome, and even some kinds of cancer. The truth is that you may be shaving years off your life expectancy and robbing yourself of the physical health you've worked hard for."

"In this book Dr. Colbert exposes those potentially devastating feelings-- what they are, where they come from, and how they manifest themselves. You do not have to be at the mercery of your emotions. Focusing on four areas essential to emotional well-being-- Truth, forgiveness, joy, and peace-- Dr. Colbert shows you how to rise above deadly emotions and find true health-- for your body, mind, and spirit."

All of this materials was copied from the cover of Meg's copy of this book that is in my possession. The contents of the book are even more illuminating. I believe almost anyone can benefit from reading this book.

  1. I read Dr. Don Colbert book about Deadly Emotions, really helpful to Mind-Body-Spirit , I've heard about a media player that helps to shape your positive emotions, it could be a solution to fight what you call deadly emotions while it plays your favorites music and videos, the site is http://www.emoplayer.com but it's just by invite I've been told that the best way to get it it's to follow them on Twitter and you may receive and invite

  2. This is truly a fantastic book! We have a choice when it comes to our emotions, sometimes it is difficult but always possible to choose forgiveness and love. I found it liberating when I learned years ago that: You don't have to feel it before you choose to forgive...and forgiving doesn't mean what the person did was "right", it releases the one doing the forgiving to be their best self and helps them to be healthier, increasing the quality of life.
